Good morning, Teacher Charles!"
Wesley gave a smiling greeting and prepared to bolt.
"Get over here!" Teacher Charles's tone was stern.
"Teacher Charles, you've misunderstood me this time. Yesterday's explosion in the school restroom had absolutely nothing to do with me."
Wesley spoke immediately before Teacher Charles could even ask.
"It's over, a confession without even being questioned!" Billy lowered his head, his face full of despair.
"Wesley, I didn't even ask you what happened, and you just blurted it out, yet you still say it had nothing to do with the two of you."
Teacher Charles patted Billy's shoulder and continued, "Can't you two let me worry a little less? Yesterday, the principal called me over and praised you both to my face. I had just walked out of the principal's office when I was called back in again."
