Anthony sat thinking about Vega, thinking about the test she had to go through, whether she had passed it, and if she had, what type of Upper Galaxy she was on. He couldn't help but wonder if she had been captured by people of the Upper Galaxy and turned into a slave.
As his thoughts ran rampant about Vega, the system chimed.

The chime snapped Anthony out of his thoughts, and before he could react, the usual pain that came from the rewriting of one's existence immediately hit him hard. Anthony didn't hesitate, he immediately activated Thought Conception and reduced his ability to feel pain to the lowest threshold.
Although he could have simply erased the sensation of pain entirely from his body, Anthony still wanted to experience the process. Besides, it was pain he could manage even in his sleep, as it was no different from someone lightly poking at his skin.
