Song Jiaying coaxed her son to sleep and came out to see Ning Ge still lying on the sofa. She couldn't help but frown as she glanced at the time on the wall; it was ten o'clock.
"Why haven't you left yet?" She walked to the table, poured herself a glass of water, and drank it.
"That Huo Zheng, he came to work at your hospital as a doctor because of you, right?" Ning Ge answered irrelevantly.
Song Jiaying almost spat out her water and said, "What nonsense are you talking about? He's a reputable doctor with ambitions."
"Having ambitions doesn't change the fact he's human and a man with desires. I can tell at a glance his intentions aren't pure, he's definitely here for you!" Ning Ge snorted coldly.
Song Jiaying sneered, "Don't think everyone is like you. He was invited back by our director multiple times. Not like you — truly cunning and complex!"
"I am indeed. I came for you, or why else would I be here?" Ning Ge admitted openly.
