In response to her self-doubt, Cheng Su simply waited until her parents and family were all asleep to call Qi Taiguo.
Qi Taiguo hadn't gone to sleep yet and was very surprised to receive her call so late. His first reaction was to ask whether their son was sick or something.
"He's perfectly fine," Cheng Su replied irritably. "It's me who has something on my mind and wants to talk to you."
Qi Taiguo let out a sigh and said, "You scared me to death. Getting a call at this hour is really awkward; I honestly thought something major had happened."
Cheng Su said pitifully, "What can I do? You're the one who's never at home."
Upon hearing this, Qi Taiguo asked, "What's wrong? What's on your mind?"
