"Go back!" Joanna had lost patience with her.
"Mommy, I've already admitted my mistake, why are you still chasing me away? You said you would give me a chance, I haven't proven myself yet."
"It's no longer necessary," Joanna said.
"Mommy..." Cassie sobbed, "I won't go back! I won't go back even if I die!"
"You!"
"I will tell Daddy that you despise me and only favor Jian Xi." Cassie cried, pretending to make a call.
Joanna's expression changed slightly, she raised her hand to knock away the phone in Cassie's hand: "Always competing with Jian Xi, Cassie, can you make some other progress?"
"I can," Cassie said, "as long as Mommy gives me another chance, I promise not to compete with her. I won't tell Daddy about any of this."
Joanna took a deep breath and agreed, "Remember what you said. If you do something foolish again, I won't let you off."
"Thank you, Mommy." Cassie smiled through her tears, got up, and hugged Joanna's neck, calling her mommy repeatedly, like a kitten.
