"So why am I here again?" I asked my mom who was measuring two tomatoes to choose which one is better.
Damn my body is so sore from yesterday's training, and I am already itching to go another round, but today is my moma's day, so here I am.
"You ask too much questions, if you are this bored then why did you come?" Ayaka said while going through some vegetables to buy.

The only reason the village was still thriving was because of Tobirama pulling some smart shit and the Damiyo sending money to help in the war that was slightly affecting the land of fire as a whole, which made the Samurais in the capital a little restless, and that was not good news if they got involved in the war of ninjas.
"You always sit on the couch reading history books or newspapers like an old man, so I brought you here to take a fresh breath and see what other human specimen like you look like. We don't want to raise a caveman now, do we? Amm excuse me! How much for these?" Ayaka said and asked the price of the things she picked.

I said while following my mom around the stalls while she went through goods then receive a glare but smiled sweetly at what I said in the latter part.

"I hope so too. But although weird, he still kinda made sense, and you know how hard it's to find people who make sense nowadays... by the way, I feel embarrassed following you around like a duck, can I go back home? It's not like you need my presence here anyways." I said tiredly at the end.
"Mmmmmm... no, you can't." Ayaka replied much to my annoyance.

"And I am afraid of exactly that. Sometimes too much intelligence and awareness prevents one to be happy and satisfied with what they have. "Me being boring? Why does that even matter? The world is big and the bigger its the more insignificant we become. If a girl can't stand me because of my personality then let's just change her to a girl who could? Because of wars, we don't lack any desperate young girls anyways. They say orphans are the best because that desperation to belong somewhere and posses something are what creates a perfect wife. Ninjas have bad reputation for being more arrogant than even the nobles... thieves of the highest calibre, genocidal maniacs, cold blooded killers that even children aren't spared most of the time when they go killer mode, which is the only mode they have by the way.
The hidden village Kages these ignorant people of this village and brain washed ninjas revered are psychopathic scums to the point of making those Yakuza and Mafia that exist here look like saints.
Whatever disgusting thing a human with a little bit of conscience can think of, these ninjas have done it, and much much worse even.
So, that's why Samurais exist, to control these literal walking devils and their likes.
Well, that's how it was supposed to be before the previous Shogun of the land of iron who worked hard for this suddenly died and a new Shogun came to be, which is his son whom for some reason looks like Kim Jong Un but on steroids because it's said that he is as strong as a kage.
He was sure after Tobirama whom is very powerful and has immense authority... died, then ninjas will become nothing more than a tool for the Damiyos and the Shogun of the land of Iron to play with.
Ninjas are greedy and a little bit of money and they will go to war for you instantly. Money which the Damiyo and Shogun has in billions like it's pocket money.
In the waring state period, there didn't exist Damiyos in these lands, only land lords. After Hashirama stabilized these lands the Shogun of the land of Iron took this opportunity and assigned many people to become Damiyos of these lands which ultimately lead these lands to become a proxy to the land of Iron.
The Shogun of that time sent thousands upon thousands of Samurais to these lands to protect it and prevent the ninjas from claiming more lands outside their villages.
With this happening, the elemental nations got in the hands of Damiyos. But there still existed a huge problem...
Hashirama and Madara.
Though, the Shogun of that time was a smart man and didn't antagonize the two. And when he created the Damiyo system he quickly helped these two and gave them job opportunities and sent money to 'help' create these villages.
Simply, the Shogun ass licked Madara and Hashirama so they would forget the notions of expanding and taking control of the world which was a success because of that dumbass Hashirama, which was another reason for discord between him and Madara who didn't agree for these arrangements.
After this, the Shogun waited like a good leader he was... until finally, the two freaks died.
The Shogun also died for some reason later on but that was not important. What was important was the point where ninjas of every village started to become dogs of the Damiyos and the new Shogun right now.
Ninjas can't in anyway do shit against this anymore because they simply don't hold that kind of power after the death of Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara.
In a slight leak of causing trouble for a Damiyo, all it takes for the Damiyo to solve this is to call the other Damiyos to feed their ninja dogs with some money and then a joint attack will immediately go on against that specific village which tried to be funny, and it's not like other hidden villages aren't glad for something like this to happen.
And even if that was not a choice, there still existed an independent force working for the Damiyos... the Samurais.
No one wants to catch the eerie of the Samurais even if that force aren't as strong as ninjas because there are simply too many of them, numbering in millions, most are chunin level and some above.
And let's not forget the Samurai Hatamotos who are generals said to be as strong as Elite jonins or maybe more, stationed in various cities, especially capitals.
The Samurais take orders from the Shogun of the land of Iron and all of them treat the land of Iron as a holy land. Even Damiyos don't have complete control over Samurais except for the Shogun.
The good part about Samurais are, they are much better than ninjas in terms of ethics and morals... not innocent of course but at least better.
The ninja villages are built upon the idea of importance of self survival and sacrifices for the continuity of the village only by any possible matter.
But the Samurais philosophy centered on Bushido (the Way of the Warrior), a code emphasizing loyalty, honor, duty, self-sacrifice, mastery of martial arts, and acceptance of death.
The Samurais philosophy is not bound to a specific group of people but the whole world.
Wherever they go, they must always embrace their honor with zeal.
And wherever there is honor, there is ethics and respect for life.
Though, honor is not something every Samurai has.
If we go by my previous life's Samurais, then I hope the Samurais of this world won't be pedophiles whom like young boys like the Greek Philosophers or Spartan.
Anyways, between those two grooming philosophies, it's clear which one creates a better state of being and which one creates genocidal fascists if followed to the letter.
As a matter of fact, the only reason ninjas are not annihilated till now after the Shogun unified the elemental nations is... the Tailed Beasts.
Just look at those ninja villages who don't have Tailed Beasts, they literally live and are treated like slaves and dogs. That's why so many of the rogue ninjas are from weak ninja villages, and that's why ninjas from the five great villages are arrogant as hell and do whatever they want.
So yeah simply, the political side of this world is as intense as it can get. At this point, you can actually understand why Danzo did his Danzo activities. One wrong political move and Konoha can kiss goodbye, this is actually is more true after Mito and Tobirama's death. The only problem is that Danzo was too extreme and his dream of becoming Hokage got in his way too much, that's all.
If Danzo didn't have that dream, then everything he did can actually be treated as contributions and greater good of the village even though immoral and sick.
Someone else in his shoes may have succeeded in taking control of some of the elemental nations if he played it a little smarter with less blood involved and focused more on the business side of the world just like the Illuminati or better say, the space Juice in his previous life.
Anyways... right now, everyone wants Tobirama's death sooner than later so that they could have a little more freedom.
Tobirama's reputation doesn't come entirely from his strength, but mind.
No one really wants to find out how a seemingly ordinary morning suddenly starts with a chaotic global economic crash just because Tobirama became a little pissed off.
No one likes to be poor you see, and uncle TOPbi knows how to fuck a whole nation up financially in the most efficient way.
A knock-off Trump you could say but with brains.
And all these recent political developments have happened in a matter of only 3 to 4 years. Who knows what will happen to us after TOPbirama dies.

Garou himself may have not realized but the way he walked with that posture right now slightly resembled a seasoned ninja which he picked up from her and Gintoki it seemed.
This meant that he had some kind of copying abilities like the Sharingan. Not as good as the Sharingan obviously but it was still something.
And it didn't take a genius to realise how different Garou was. She and Gintoki as jonins normally realized these anomalies since his birth which for a slight moment, it might create rumors that I might have cheated on Gintoki, which is nonsense!
No one has ever touched her except for Gintoki and she loves her family with all her being to even think about something as disgusting as adultery.
By the way, her teacher Tobirama also said something about this.
Garou's unique physique immediately got noticed by her and Gintoki when he exuded a very weird but faint dark air around him if you concentrated enough very close to him, it was not sinister but still unsettling, which was why she was worried that something they didn't know about was going on with him, but seeing him act normal and weirdly like the Nara kids, they shrugged at it.
It sounds irresponsible but they at the same time don't want to freak out and make the whole village understand. They will go with the flow and see what's up when something changes with their son.
Nature takes some and gives some in return most of the time and Garou not having chakra maybe may not cause that much of a problem and hopefully nature gave him something as a compensation; she thought.
