Sebastian didn't even look directly at Sesshomaru. When he appeared, Jaken was even more at a loss. He didn't want to stand still, but he could only remain motionless, for fear that any unnecessary movements would anger Sebastian. It wasn't until Sebastian left that Jaken ran to Sesshomaru's side.
In Sebastian's eyes, Jaken had no real use; his only purpose was to serve as a means to draw out Sesshomaru.
"How are you doing, Your Highness?" Seeing that Sebastian had completely disappeared, Jaken withdrew his gaze and quickly walked to the side of Sesshomaru, who was lying on the ground.
Looking at Sesshomaru's bloodless face, he said with concern and a wicked tone, "His Highness Inuyasha has indeed become much stronger..."
"Pull me up." Without waiting for Jaken to say anything more, Sesshomaru ordered coldly. As he looked at the place where Sebastian had vanished, Sesshomaru fell silent for a long time, lost in deep thought, before he finally said, "Let's go."
Sebastian didn't react to his words, which made him very perplexed. If Sebastian had wanted to kill him just now, it would have been an easy task. Completely exhausted, Sebastian was even worse than a wild beast.
"Sorry, Mr. Sesshomaru." At this moment, Miyatsu and Miroku, who had received orders, had already arrived and blocked the way.
In his current state, Sesshomaru could not match the strength of the two, especially since their power had achieved a qualitative leap; he stood no chance of resisting them. He had no choice but to watch as his boss was taken away by the pair.
After Sebastian left, Miroku took Sesshomaru to the Battle Lab, while Miyatsu helped the seriously injured Inuyasha back there.
"This guy is much stronger than before," Miroku said to Miyatsu, who had just returned. The latter nodded in agreement.
Compared to when they first met, Inuyasha's strength had improved by leaps and bounds. Although he was now seriously injured, his body still retained enough strength. If the fight continued, no one knew how it would end.
Just as they returned to the room with Inuyasha, they found Sebastian already waiting inside, with Beatrice standing beside him.
"Beatrice, treat him," Sebastian said slowly.
Beatrice walked to Inuyasha's side, releasing healing spells with both hands. Inuyasha's already pallid face turned blood-red instantly, and his exhausted physical strength, which had been nearly drained, was fully restored.
"Sensei," Inuyasha said, having already recovered. He raised his head and looked at Sebastian with gratitude in his eyes.
"Go and get some rest," Sebastian said. "In a few days, our group will set out, and the law and order will be entrusted to you during this period. Nothing must go wrong."
Inuyasha nodded confidently. Unknowingly, his loyalty had grown to a higher level.
Time passed quickly. A few days later, in the northern part of the kingdom, in a small city…
"So many people have died; it's a pity we arrived a step too late," Yura frowned tightly as she looked at the corpses lying on the street in front of her.
Ten days ago, she and Sebastian split into two groups. She traveled northward to inquire about the Jewel of Four Souls, while Sebastian took Kikyō, Tsubaki, and others south to investigate the legend of Hōrai Island.
She had just received news that the Jewel was in this small town, so she hurried over, but it was still a step too late. Upon arriving, she saw bright red and turbid bloodstains on the street, a disgusting stench, and scattered internal organs and stumps. Only hell could contain such a bloody and cruel scene.
"If I can get the Jewel..." She slowly wandered through the town, pinching a corner of her hair, her eyes beginning to blur.
As a comb-turned monster, she had an instinctive passion for hair. Therefore, she had always wanted to obtain the Jewel of Four Souls, believing it would grant her the most beautiful hair in the world. But the greed in her eyes was fleeting.
"But the most important thing is to survive," she thought, looking at the tragic scenes everywhere. Suddenly, she remembered that many monsters had attacked over a fake jewel, only to face tragic outcomes. More than 90% of the monsters had been wiped out, and she had nearly died in that battle.
The memory of that person destroying thousands of monsters with a wave of his hand caused her greed to vanish.
"Hurry up and finish the task. He cannot be disappointed."
In the Battle Lab, Sebastian and others were making final preparations for Hōrai Island. Although the Spy Satellite could detect the island's location, its unique properties prevented a clear view of the situation on it. To prevent problems before they arose, Sebastian decided not to use the Chronosphere but to travel by airship to the island.
Behind Sebastian, the others were stunned. In front of them lay a giant beast: the Kirov Airship. Its length and width were enormous.
"What... what is this?" Kikyō looked at the shocking airship in front of her, speechless. In this world, the only means of transportation was a carriage, let alone the existence of airships. Moreover, Sebastian hadn't shown much of his power here.
"This is the Kirov Airship, our mode of transportation to the island," Sebastian said, as if it were something so ordinary that it couldn't be more normal.
"Amazing..."
"Monsters aren't even that big..."
Miroku and Miyatsu were also stunned by the sight of the airship.
At this moment, Tsubaki approached Sebastian with a smile and said, "As expected of Sensei, only you could create something so powerful!"
