Chapter 4 - 3 - Nothing Happened

"Ughn! Wait.. Wait a sec— Hold on—"

Yuncha dug his nails into Jaeyoung's back, attempting to snap him back to reality. He jolted as Jaeyoung lifted him up against the wall. "Hghn!" Feeling something warm reach deeper in his stomach, it became obvious there was nothing he could do to get out of the situation.

He swallowed a moan before biting down on Jaeyoung's shoulder, letting out an out of breath chuckle as the other groaned.

"You…"

Jaeyoung strengthened his grip on Yuncha as he carried him over to the couch, his teeth gritted as the sound of soft whines hit his ears.

Holding back in public was something Jaeyoung had gotten used to yet when they were alone, there was always that desire to have more and more of Yuncha, even if there was no more, he would always feel that sense of selfishness.

But that wasn't entirely his fault because Yuncha had always let him do what he wanted, almost as if this was the only way he can make up for drawing a harsh line between them in front of others.

"Ah!" Yuncha flinched as he felt the full weight of Jaeyoung enter him, "uhh… hngh.." His legs trembled as their thighs collided. He could feel a sudden high taking over his mind as tears began to brew in his eyes from the simultaneous hits of pain and lingering pleasure.

Jaeyoung felt his heart skip a beat as Yuncha looked up at him, mumbling under his breath. "Fuck.." He pulled out completely before ramming his full length back in, wincing as he felt the tightness around his base. "Yun, relax."

"Bed…" Yuncha's voice cracked, his breathing becoming more shaky as he dug his nails deeper into the Jaeyoung's back, leaving harsh scratch marks as he whispered weakly. "Let's go to the bed at least..."

-

Jaeyoung woke up to the quiet buzz of a phone, not his own but one that belonged to the guy asleep next to him. Looking at the string that bounded them together by their pinkies, he smiled as he felt a relief in his heart.

He slipped his arm out from underneath Yuncha as slowly and carefully as he could before leaning over to grab the phone off the nightstand, the smile on his face disappearing immediately as he unlocked it.

What the hell is this?

There was a message from a new contact he didn't recognise and that alone would've been fine but it was the content of the message that pissed him off.

Lee Seohyeon Sunbae: Let's meet at the new café by campus on Friday

Just as he felt Yuncha turn besides him, Jaeyoung quickly deleted the contact before placing the phone back in it's place. He shuffled back into bed, wrapping his arms around Yuncha in a tight embrace as he shut his eyes.

Yet he couldn't sleep. The singular thought he had been pondering over for the past few weeks remained in his mind - his utter failure of a confession.

To be more precise, it was how it seemed like their relationship hadn't changed at all despite it, as if he didn't confessed at all.

He knew he played a role in it because even after what had happened, he was the one who couldn't distance himself from Yuncha. But at the same time

Why are you acting like nothing happened?

Yuncha groaned as he felt a tightness around his waist. He mumbled something in his half-asleep state as he grabbed onto Jaeyoung's arms. With no strength to push him away however, he ended up just holding on awkwardly.

"It's hot… let go."

"Yun."

"Hmm?"

"Let's go on a date on Friday."

"Mm…" It was unclear whether or not he had actually heard what Jaeyoung said but to the latter, a yes was a yes.

He loosened his grip on Yuncha as he reached his left hand up towards the ceiling, staring at the string again as if mesmerised.

It got more visible again.

The intangible thread that would lose and gain visibility every now and then still amazed him. Jaeyoung wouldn't say he was a believer of fate but if fate was right in-front of his face, then how could he deny it?

What they were could stay as ambiguous for however long Yuncha wanted, as long as he stayed by his side. That is the conclusion Jaeyoung had reached. So he had to make sure there isn't even the slightest possibility of someone or something getting in between them.

Let's see, Yun's last class finishes at noon so that guy would've probably wanted to meet then.

Hm.. where should we go...

-

Friday rolled around quicker than expected, with how busy his week had been, Yuncha had completely let the 'date' he agreed to when half-asleep slip his mind but the other party wasn't the type to forget something like that.

The bell rang, bringing freedom to the university students on the brink of starvation, and Yuncha's phone rung at the same exact time, down to the millisecond. Before he could answer, he saw a smiling face pop around the door, waving at him with his phone to his ear.

The wave of students that were rapidly packing their stuff up to leave for lunch had now all froze in awe, even the ones that had start making it to the door was staring with their mouths wide open.

Cho Jaeyoung had been popular since middle school and although it died down in high school, there was no doubt that he was starting to gain attention again.

Everyone had been too distracted by the sight of him that no one bothered to look where Jaeyoung was looking. He frowned slightly as Yuncha sat still then blinked as he pointed to his phone.

Yun: Wait by the main entrance, I'll be out as quickly as I can.

Jaeyoung grinned before holding up an 'ok' sign, making a few girls giggle amongst themselves, arguing whether or not it was directed at them.

From a distance, Yuncha could already see the small crowd gathered by the front gate from his department building. Though this was the kind of sight he was met with often, it doesn't fail to get annoying every time.

He's seriously like a museum attraction everywhere we go...

But as much as other people stuck to him, Yuncha knew he wouldn't have to worry.

Jaeyoung's head popped up from the crowd and a smile immediately appeared on his face as he saw him. Without even saying goodbye, he separated himself from the group, blocking the blazing sun from Yuncha as he stood in-front of him.

"Don't you have to say bye to your friends?" Yuncha looked over to the group that now all held a disappointed expression as if their conversation wasn't done. His unease quickly settled however as Jaeyoung gave them a small wave and each slowly dispersed.

"Now that that's done, it's time for our date."
