What was gripped in my hand is a lump of paper, when I open it tremendously meaningful things like "Please come outside the hall claiming a small need. I am waiting." are written. This with Sandy's look earlier too, surely it is that kind of thing.
What do I do? while I hesitate it seemed to become dance time and the orchestra enters the hall and performance begins. Then the steward draws near and speaks to me.
"Lady Sonia says she wishes to dance with Lord Marie."
Whether I like it or not my hand is taken and I am pulled to the front seats. Then Sonia who found me looking glad,
"Lord Marie, I wished my first partner to be Lord Marie and called you. Is it all right?"
she asked. With everyone around looking I cannot say no, I kneel and put out a hand in front of Sonia.
"Lady Sonia, may I invite you?"
"Gladly!"
Sonia looking glad takes my hand, stands and heads to the opened space. Her Majesty is taken by the hand by the clan chief and heading to the dance floor.
