Lily ran down the road. I followed behind her. She was probably running at full speed, but I still had plenty of energy to spare.
"We were lucky the enemies weren't very strong," Lily muttered as she ran ahead.
"I never expected an ambush. I am truly, deeply sorry."
Lily seemed to feel a heavy sense of responsibility and kept apologizing over and over. I didn't feel like it had been that dangerous, but from her perspective, it must have been a very close call.
"Lily, you don't have to feel so responsible. I'm safe."
"Thank you. However, it is my responsibility for putting you in such a dangerous situation."
"No, the root cause was me saying I wanted to go to Countess Rosette's residence, so it's fine."
