Chapter 20: The World Was Not Ready : Part VIII

Gotham

Batcave

Harry observed Bruce through both his eyes and his telepathic senses. He almost sighed in relief when he couldn't feel the usual doubts or paranoia that Bruce was famous for. Already, planting the sub-conscious thoughts when he mended Bruce's mind is showing results. Harry had just finished showing Bruce some of the important factors about the future, a few possible fights, and even the potential deaths of certain heroes.

After almost several minutes of silence, Harry found himself quietly impressed by the speed at which Batman processed the information and ran it through various scenarios.

Finally, Batman opened his eyes and looked at the boy—no, the monster—sitting in front of him. Even if he had decided to nominally support Harry, Batman had no doubt regarding the actual truth of the man in the child's body.

"I feel like you have yet to share more things with me, since I still can't predict what your plan is. Every possibility, as of now, leads to failure," Batman said with a sigh.

"Obviously," Harry replied with a shrug. "The future is unpredictable even for me, and it is pointless to share everything with you. I know so many things that I have forgotten many futures. What I shared is this world's past as of now, and things that almost always happen—just like where our parents are killed. It is almost an absolute point in our stories, and diverging from it means more insanity and destruction for the world. I shared the future heroes' identities and powers with you, especially in America, so that you can keep an eye on them later."

Batman grimaced at that before asking, "Yet I don't understand one thing. Why are there two hero teams in America itself?"

Harry obviously couldn't say the truth—that both the Avengers and the Justice League were premier teams from two different universes—so he decided to improvise.

"Really, Bruce? Did you even have to ask that?" Harry asked in slight disbelief, raising an eyebrow.

Bruce's eyes widened in realization before he sighed in defeat. "You are correct, Harry. Human nature and ego are the ultimate reasons for all internal fights and competition since time immemorial. Why should it be different in super-heroics too?" Batman asked rhetorically, his voice tired.

Harry just nodded.

After several seconds, Harry asked, "So, now you know the key players in super-heroics and the upcoming battles. I want to ask you one last time before we continue forward. Batman… are you with me fully?"

Harry finished, and even though his body didn't show a hint of tension, his psychic powers were razor-sharp, ready to ensure Batman wouldn't be able to twitch a muscle if the answer was negative.

Bruce felt a chill as his instincts screamed danger at the question, knowing the answer would decide his life or his death. Still, he was curious about one thing.

"Why do I even have a choice, Harry?" Bruce asked with a frown. "I'm sure you could bind me magically or even trap me and make me your slave if you wanted."

Harry snorted. "You're correct that I could do that, but it would be exceptionally stupid of me. Your willpower isn't something even I could control for long, and every trap I could lay, you'd eventually find a way to escape. They say keep your friends close and your enemies closer, but if the enemy is you, then that would be the greatest act of foolishness imaginable. With you, the answer is to keep your friends closest… and keep the enemy far away in the hands of Lady Death."

Batman smirked at that before answering. "The world is ending, and even my vow to fight crime at all costs would be hypocritical if I didn't fight against the biggest crime ever committed. I'll support you," Batman said, then closed his eyes and took a couple of deep breaths. He opened them again and added, "I'm ready now to take whatever magical oaths you have in mind."

Harry smiled happily at that but shook his head. "There's no need for oaths right now," Harry said with a shrug.

Batman was surprised and almost asked why, before the answer arrived naturally and raised "You're keeping an eye on my mind, and you can easily see I'm honest," Batman said with slight exasperation. "But Harry… what if I change my mind later and decide to fight you?"

"To be honest, Bruce, I said for now. I'm designing a magical tattoo for my people, and one of its functions will be to alert me if you ever betray me deliberately. More than that, as I said at the beginning, I know you. I understand you. There's almost no reason you'd ever betray me now that you know what's at stake," Harry said.

"And the fact that I can't see any way to defeat you, and you could easily kill me, also makes this an easy decision," Batman said with a snort.

"Well, that too," Harry replied with a smirk.

Bruce returned the smirk with a small laugh. "Now tell me what you envision for me, and what your plan is."

Harry could see the plain curiosity and the slight hunger on Bruce's face — the hunger of a man who finally found someone who could match his intelligence and prowess.

"To be honest, my plans change almost every time I interact with someone important. The only thing that's fixed is my goal, Bruce. I want the entire Earth united in a common cause to help me fight the upcoming threats from space — or, in simple terms, I want to gain enough power to ensure survival and to kill Thanos. For that, I plan to combine the resources of both the magical and non-magical worlds. Technology and magic together will lead the future and make humankind a space-worthy species."

"It's ambitious," Bruce replied hesitantly. "But our Earth discriminates over the smallest things. How would anything unite them?"

"You're right. Nothing will unite all mankind. Even the end of the world won't. So, I'll gather the best of each group — wizards, sorcerers, muggles, mutants, Inhumans, Atlanteans, even gods. I'll unite them under me. And the best part? I know every single exceptional individual already. As for ordinary people, they can help where they can and live their ordinary lives."

Bruce remained silent as he absorbed the words. "And what of those who oppose this?" he finally asked.

"Well, those who oppose peacefully and lawfully can keep opposing peacefully and lawfully. We both know the ordinary world is ruled by a single thing: money," Harry said with a shrug.

"And when even money fails and the opposition uses force… you'll use force right back," Bruce finished.

Harry nodded with a smile.

"So I'll be the bank for you, providing money and business support?" Bruce asked with a frown, not looking thrilled.

Feeling the lack of enthusiasm and the hint of regret in Bruce's voice, Harry laughed. "Come on, Bruce. There will be plenty of time for you to put on the suit or even invent a new one and fight with your fists. But as I said, I came here planning to use your mind, your wealth, and your company. What you said earlier about unity and discrimination gave me a new idea — one that's viable."

Bruce nodded, curiosity rising, wondering whether Harry's unknown years of experience could truly lead to a plan capable of uniting mankind.

"I've already started registering companies in the UK. LEP Ltd will handle my medical products — magical potions in pill form. We'll start with cures for colds and fevers, then move on to bone-knitting, making recovery from fractures incredibly easy. Another sector is entertainment. I have a huge collection of stories, songs, and knowledge of who will become popular. PB Entertainments will use that, and it will also help launder money I recover from criminals. I planned to expand PB Entertainments into America, but I've changed that. Bruce, you will start Wayne Entertainments and step into Hollywood." Harry finished dramatically, enjoying the surprise on Bruce's face.

Bruce genuinely wondered if he'd misheard. "You want me, Bruce Wayne, billionaire, to go to Hollywood? And do what? Make movies? Act for measly millions?" he scoffed.

Harry's eyes widened a little. "Sorry, Bruce. Sometimes my mind thinks up scenarios faster than my mouth can explain them. Let me start from the goal. You're thirty-four, correct?"

Bruce nodded.

"Then by fifty, the final goal is for you to become President of the United States. Hollywood is the second step in that plan," Harry said with a smile.

"I must admit it, Harry, that is something I did not ever foresee in your plan for me," Bruce said, intrigued. "But I could see why you wanted your men to be in the most powerful position in the world. Politics is a different beast, and even my own wealth, as of now, will not be enough to make me president in just fourteen years, Harry. Still, I want to hear this plan."

"When I looked you up, the first thing I saw was Bruce Wayne — a reclusive playboy who works sometimes but has improved Wayne Enterprises' fortune drastically by investing in tech and also has philanthropic activities in Gotham," Harry said. "There are even many articles wondering whether there is a rivalry between you and Tony Stark to see who is the biggest playboy. By the way, it is an impressive manipulation of media and public to hide your true self," Harry said with an appreciative smile.

Bruce just waved his hand, brushing away the praise.

"The first step is you, Bruce Wayne, cleaning up Gotham's streets," Harry continued. "Crime is everlasting, and it abhors a vacuum, so we need one of our men to control it. We will clean up all others — even your rogues' gallery. After that, you will leave for Hollywood, mainly because there is a threat to your life in Gotham. We can even make our new underworld kingpin try to take you out, making him the rallying point of the entire Gotham criminal element."

"I very much like your first step, Harry, but why am I going to Hollywood? It is on the other side of America," Bruce said with clear exasperation. "There are easily other ways I could enter politics. Even with my wealth, the big six studios wouldn't allow an outsider to take over Hollywood. They have the most powerful media in the world under their control or as parent companies. I may be wealthy, but I am not stupid enough to just buy out one of the big six."

Harry nodded in acceptance. "This is where my future knowledge is relevant, Bruce. I already acquired a controlling stake in a social media website called Facebook last week. The internet will change the way information and even news is shared. Social media will control the new age rather than traditional media and newspapers, but that will come a couple of years later."

"Bruce, you have clearly built a persona for yourself as the playboy billionaire wasting money like nothing else. Hollywood will see you as another money bank they can drain — whether you want to direct a movie or act in one. For them, you will be another drugged playboy coming to enjoy the goods and relax after almost getting killed in his home city while trying to fight crime. By the time they realise they have let a wolf into the coop, everything will be too late."

Bruce nodded at that. "Of course they will believe that, and I could sell my performance as reality to even seasoned professionals."

"What I want you to do there is direct movies or even produce several. For good or bad, culture and trends regarding any matter can be heavily inspired by Hollywood and Popstars. I want you to use mutants or any powered individuals to perform stunts or action scenes. It would be the start of acceptance for mutants in wider society. More than that, the capitalists in this country will start to see the economic benefits of those with unique powers. Even more importantly, the mutants themselves will see it, and Potter Talents or Wayne Talents will be at the forefront in hiring and managing them."

Bruce was fast, and he understood the implications immediately. "Later, when social media is more popular, you will influence it along with the movies to make ordinary people accept the extraordinary," Bruce observed.

"That is just a bonus that may or may not happen. The problem with mutants is that there is an insane ancient bacterium in all humans that makes them hate mutants irrationally because every mutant is immune to it. So, this is just a trial to see whether acceptance is possible." Harry said.

"Then it is good that it is not really relevant, Harry. I am not going to Hollywood and playing these stupid charades. I may throw money at it, but me personally going is impossible." Bruce said sternly.

Harry just smirked smugly. "Well, well, that seems to be a challenge to me. Anyway, before I make you see reason, I must ask—why are you so against going away from Gotham? I mean, after it's cleaned up you could relax, all while preparing for the next battle. You prepared yourself for a decade in your war against crime; this is just preparation for another battle in another arena."

Bruce sighed in frustration. "You yourself said it. I am a reclusive playboy philanthropist. Why do you think I'm reclusive? I may be a good actor—good enough to fool the elite Black Widow—but I can't play Bruce Wayne for whole days. And when I'm in Hollywood, that's exactly what would happen."

"That is just plain laziness," Harry scoffed. "Buy a property with hundreds of acres near Hollywood, with a mansion in the middle. Retreat there whenever you want."

Bruce remained silent, not wanting to engage in casual teasing about this particular topic. He just stared at Harry, waiting for him to continue his pitch.

Harry sighed as he began. "Brucy boi, what I'm offering you is a golden opportunity. With the rapid development of the internet, camera phones, and social media, Batman will not remain an urban myth for the wider U.S. anymore. More than that, SHIELD, ARGUS, and other agencies will come sniffing around more than they already do. I will provide you with a Time-Turner and a reusable Portkey that will help you travel to Gotham and Hollywood every single day. It would be the greatest alibi you could ever need. Then there's the fact that after we clean up Gotham, even Batman would be bored."

"I am intrigued by the magical options," Bruce said thoughtfully, "but the first step is impossible. There is no cleaning up Gotham."

Harry smirked. "That is for your non-powered ass, Bruce. For me, cleaning up is easy. I am an omega-level mutant with telepathy and telekinesis. My telepathy can envelop the entire city and touch every single mind at the same time. Crime leaves traces, just as evil does. It would take me only a single week to make sure the evil dies, and those who joined crime because they had no other option confess, and the lesser ones even change their career paths. This is where you come in, Bruce. The evil could be killed by the mercenaries you hired to protect yourself from a threat you received to a charity gala you organized for the criminals who want to confess and reform. The gala would provide aid for their families if the criminals confessed their crimes and went through proper legal processing. The real evildoers like Black Mask, Two-Face, the Riddler—they can't accept that and would definitely attack the venue, where we will kill the vermin. Or that will be the story that will be spread by Gotham city officials."

Bruce's eyes widened as the plan continued, disbelief and even slight panic flickering across his face at the sheer insanity of it. "I can't believe I'm going to say this. This plan is so stupidly insane that it may actually work. I have no doubt in your telepathic ability to achieve it, but for the authorities and the rest of the world to accept it… that will be a stretch. I am also very much not comfortable with the amount of death."

Harry grinned madly. "That is the beauty of it, Bruce. Gotham is both the laughingstock and the horror story of America. The media and the people will believe the crazies here might actually pull this off. And years later, many will wonder whether Bruce Wayne hired a telepath to make it possible. As for the number of death, come on, Bruce, you know the amount is nothing infront of the cosmic sufferings. Vile criminals that prey on others for their own mental pleasure."

"Plans within plans, with such long-term possibilities… that is something I can admire. You are also correct regarding the psychopaths that is my rogue's gallery. I was prevented from ending them permanently by my own fear of losing myself to violence. With my resources and my own capability, that would end in something no one wanted." Bruce said, contemplating it.

"This is just the basic premise of Operation Gotham, Bruce. You can refine it as much as you want. I'll even provide six super-soldiers for your mercenary group, and one of them could become the new crime lord after everyone else is dealt with." Harry said.

"What if I don't want to do it?" Bruce asked curiously.

"Either way, I'll deal with the criminal elements and free up your time." Harry shrugged. "You decide whether it's me causing a chaotic gang war in the streets of Gotham, or me doing it in a planned and structured manner. More than that… this is your opportunity to end crime as it is—even for a couple of days and nights—in Gotham. And you can finally achieve your life's goal. That too as Bruce Wayne, not Batman."

Bruce's eyes drifted toward the multiple computer screens near the Bat-computer terminal, showing crime statistics, conviction rates, even death counts. Harry followed his gaze and took in the information with a single glance. The overall rate had reduced drastically, yet the horrifying nature of the crimes has gone up since Batman's debut.

"Let's say the first step is complete," Bruce finally said. "I could go through the tech route. I'm quite sure you have the required future-tech knowledge too, and we could use it. Why the goddamned Hollywood route?" he asked again, exasperated.

"It is quite simple, really," Harry replied casually. "You going the Hollywood route is two birds with one bullet. We need the entertainment sector to influence society as a whole, and it is easy money too—both legally and illegally. I had plans to use my godfather, Sirius Black, to go that route when I decided to start PB Entertainments, but thinking it over, it's clear that a Briton winning over Americans is quite hard. Not even considering what MACUSA and the ICW will do. At the end of the day, I need someone capable, charismatic, and with iron will to do what needs to be done, and no one fits that better than you, Bruce. Then there's the added benefit of how neatly it fits into your public image and the story the American public needs to keep their hopes on."

He continued without pause. "Hollywood is full of monsters who use others for pleasure, and it's rampant with paedophiles, rapists, and drug addicts. What an iconic story it would be if, after cleaning up Gotham, you entered Hollywood, saw the darkness there, and cleaned that up too—along with your own image as a playboy. The masses love a redemption story like that. All the while, your MNC introduces new life-changing tech and services. Wayne Investments can even acquire a controlling stake in Twitter Inc., another social media platform that rivals Facebook in the future. With both major social media platforms under our control, shaping the narrative around Bruce Wayne becomes very easy."

"At your peak popularity, you'll enter politics—maybe as the senator of New York State. I will try to time it for when the godsdamned Loki attacks New York with an alien army trying to conquer Earth. If that isn't possible… this is New York City. There will be plenty of disasters for you to handle effectively, making you the saviour of New York."

"And after one term, you will contest the presidential race. The public will devour the narrative of 'cleaning up politics itself' to protect America from superpowered threats, especially when the government has repeatedly failed due to selfish interests. People will believe it—or our social media will make them believe it—with a slight nudge from yours truly," Harry said with a dramatic bow. "By the time you contest, people will believe you are the answer to everything—even mutant-human relations. You will be shining beacon for the people to believe in, A man born to incredible wealth, lost his parents before his eyes to a needless crime, almost breaking you, yet worked hard to right the wrongs in the world even when you could just enjoy your life without doing anything for rest of your life."

Bruce's eyes narrowed as he contemplated everything. "You will allow Loki's attack to take place even when you could stop it?"

Harry gave Bruce a shrewd look, as if the question didn't even need an answer. Bruce understood the truth immediately. What better way to make the whole world believe of outside threat than aliens trying to conquer the planet.

"The plan is viable." Bruce finally said with a defeated sigh. He understood that every move served multiple purposes and that this was a plan only someone who knew the future could create. History has shown that whenever there is unrest, the best way to enflame or clam the masses is giving them a rallying point. Captain America during World War 2, The Demon's Head, Magneto, Hitler when rallying the beaten down Germany after the first world war, Gandhi in India, Mandela, Lincoln, Martin Luther King. Bruce could already envision how the upcoming situations would be used by selfish interests if he didn't step forward.

"Still… there is a problem, Harry. Filmmaking is not something that can be learned easily. As for acting, I don't think you want the public to know my true acting prowess."

Harry nodded immediately. "You really are stubborn. I'll give you that. But you're wasting our time. Directing is, at its core, envisioning something and coordinating the crew to make it real. You have the money to hire the best in every department, and you have me to identify who the 'best' actually are. You're intelligent enough to learn directing simply by observing a production. All it takes is Wayne Entertainments producing something with a good director, you watching the entire process, and learning the basics. If you don't want to do that, then I'll just copy the minds of good directors like Scorsese, Nolan, Cameron, and Spielberg, as well as the newer generation—cut out the unnecessary memories—and insert the filmmaking knowledge into your mind."

Bruce looked uncomfortable at that but didn't reject it outright.

"It's only for four to five years, Bruce," Harry continued. "You have to make movies with the best action using mutants. And maybe your final movie could even be Batman. I know Wayne Enterprises holds the copyright and trademark of Batman. It would be truly ironic and greatest prank the world has ever seen if you act as Batman in the movie too." Harry finished with a laugh, before becoming serious again to continue. "The greatest stories ever told has a truth to it and it would be truly augmenting your own story for the campaign if circumstances could align. It would prove that even a normal human could match those with powers, which would pacify many as fear is one of the major reasons for hatred."

Bruce immediately grimaced. "And you call me stubborn," he snapped with frustration.

"Harry, I already agreed to the more morally horrific first step. The second step… I could clean up Hollywood without personally entering that sector. Half the internet runs through my satellites, and half the global systems run through WayneTech software. It would be easy to obtain proof and go public with it. As for mutants and manipulating public trends, I can just throw money at it and start Wayne Entertainments. I could continue the tech route here in Gotham while preparing for politics. The public will still accept my story, and I could still be president. I don't see any other reason to follow your Hollywood plan."

Harry sighed and shook his head in disappointment. "I'm sorry to say this, Bruce. You're one of the most intelligent men on the planet. You've lived as a poor man, trained as one, and tried to understand people's mentality more than anyone else. But the truth is, Bruce, you could never truly know the life of a poor or ordinary citizen. Being born into generational wealth sits in your mind, etched there, and in everyone else's mind too—unless you somehow erased it entirely."

Bruce raised his hand in protest, but Harry ignored it and continued. "No, let me finish. I'm not saying you don't deserve your wealth. I'm sure you could still end up a billionaire even if you were born poor. But unless you've lived with crushing debt, or gone paycheck to paycheck, you will never understand them completely. That's why you believe you can achieve what I envision simply by creating something and serving the public with tech and philanthropy."

"For the ordinary citizen who has their basic needs met, they want gossip and entertainment. Whether it's movies, music, drugs, or sports doesn't matter. For the ones living paycheck to paycheck—or drowning in debt—they need gossip or movies to live vicariously for two hours, to forget their lives. That influence from those who provide entertainment is something entirely different. Even if you gave them free food and healthcare, they would say thanks and move on. No one likes remembering they owe their well-being to someone else's charity… not unless you force them to."

Bruce stayed silent as he tried to process what he'd heard. He nodded for Harry to continue.

"You could clean up Hollywood from Gotham using your influence, but the people would call it hypocrisy. In their minds, you're an alcoholic playboy, even a druggie sometimes. They won't change that view just because Wayne Enterprises invented amazing tech or made billions and then spend billions to help the public. To the public, that's just you living off the backs of your more talented employees. Your employees and board of directors may know your actual business and technical brilliance, but no one else believes it—or wants to. Some people would oppose your ideas purely because you, a billionaire, expressed them."

Bruce grimaced, knowing the last part was painfully true. "I understand what you're saying. I just feel like it's a huge waste of my resources when I could be working on more important things."

Harry was finally getting annoyed by the stubborn idiot.

"There are some things that only personal involvement can accomplish," he said with a tired exhale. "When you work openly in Hollywood as a director, producer, or even actor, people will see you working hard like everyone else—even with billions in your account. They'll see you chasing your passion and creating something for their entertainment. If the product is good, they'll be impressed. If it's bad, they can laugh at your foolishness, and that still makes you human to them. As of now, there is no other sector that would make everyone notice you working like everyone else and accept you as one of their own in a decade we have left. All other areas, would take more time and for you to reach the goal of being POTUS."

"For others being, superstar actors, directors, musicians—entertainment elevates them above ordinary people. For Bruce Wayne, it would normalize you. And when you eventually expose and punish the monsters hiding in that industry, you'll be the most relatable person in the public's eyes. Even cleaning up Gotham wouldn't hit the same, because your personal stakes are too obvious there—everyone knows why you care about Gotham."

Harry paused, sensing Bruce's emotions, and nearly swore. The man was still unconvinced.

So, Harry decided to go for the throat. "Bruce… just imagine how many children could get justice. How many future children could be protected if you made this move. Think about yourself at eight, newly orphaned. You know what happened to me, what my uncle did to me. You were incredibly lucky to have Alfred. Now imagine—what if Alfred had been a pedophile or more greedy. Don't you want to be an Alfred to someone else?"

The words barely left his mouth before a batarang flew straight at his face. His reflexive mental defenses kicked in, boosting his personal shield by ten percent while his telekinesis froze the batarang in midair. A few sharp beeps later, it exploded. Harry wrapped the blast in a telekinetic bubble, crushed it down, and let the debris fall.

"Never say that again." Batman's harsh voice was a whisper, but it echoed through the Batcave.

Harry nodded, ignoring the threat. "Even now your mind isn't made up, so consider this too, Bruce. By following my plan, you'll help countless innocents survive. To increase my own power, I've already taken the Super Soldier Serum—my body was always my weakest point. I have other methods to strengthen it, and I'll use them. As for the world, I don't care whether I become a tyrant and enforce my will by killing thousands to establish my rule on the muggle world through the wizarding world, or whether I conquer nations through economics and politics. Right now, the path of money is easier, so I'm taking it. But don't think for a moment that I couldn't go the violent way."

Bruce almost snorted at the idea—Harry as a tyrant, or the wizarding world trying to conquer a modern planet filled with mutants, advanced weapons, and billions of people.

"Harry, do you actually believe the wizarding world could win such a fight, even with you?" Bruce asked, incredulous.

"Do you really think the Statute of Secrecy exists to protect wizards from muggles?" Harry scoffed. "No, Bruce—it exists to protect muggles from wizards. Every government knows about the wizarding world. They're not doing anything, even though they're jealous and terrified. Why, Bruce, why? Because they know monsters like Dumbledore, Voldemort, and me exist on the other side—monsters equivalent to walking, talking nukes. And I'm an omega-level mutant on top of that. Conquering the muggle world would be easy for those with knowledge. The hard part would be ruling it. And even harder would be conquering the wizarding world to fall in line."

"Are you saying that wizarding world could deal with omega level mutans as well as the sheer population of normal people?" Bruce asked in surprise. "You know they would rather use nukes and let everything burn than let a handful of wizards rule them."

"Bruce," Harry said with a sigh, "as I said, if it was the normal foolish wizards who actually try, then they will fail and only us wizards being the favorites of Lady Gaea will allow us to survive. But my dear friend, normal wizards will never get enough support to attempt something that reckless. Such plans belong to the magical lords who attract people just by existing, and they are never foolish or idiotic. Even a magical lord may not be able to defeat an omega-level mutant, but he wouldn't be defeated easily, and he would escape, making the next time more dangerous for the mutant. After all, a mutant is a one-trick pony while us wizards have an endless variation of magic. Think about it, my friend: Gellert Grindelwald had the same responsibility for World War Two through his manipulations of Hitler as well as Hydra, yet no government has made any movement against wizards to contain them overtly. Why? Because they still remember the final fight between Dumbledore and Gellert. Then there are a number of immortal monsters hiding in secret, including metamorphmagi, an alchemist, vampire lords. No muggles want to poke them out by going after the wizarding world. Even I don't want to change the status quo between us so much that I am going my economic conquest path. I am asking you, do not make me change my path because it would be too much disaster for many."

Bruce, for a second, looked horrified and finally sighed defeatedly.

"I agree with your cursed plan, Harry," Bruce said, exhausted. "Make sure you add the technological know-how and directing memories of the famous directors to my mind. I couldn't be bothered to start from the beginning."

Harry finally grinned happily. "I am glad to hear that, and I will do the needful regarding the knowledge. Now, it will take some time to prepare the portkey and time-turner. You can prepare for the Gotham plan immediately. I will do the preliminary check and inform you how many could be reformed by the end of the week. Also, I reward my friends. I will make two Super Soldier Serums for both you and Alfred."

Bruce immediately shook his head and denied it. "I don't want any superhuman powers, Harry. I am happy with what I am."

Harry just raised his eyebrow. "This world is incredibly dangerous, and we are venturing knee-deep into it. More than that, the use of the time-turner will age you, and people will notice by your 50s. You are at peak human physically, and taking the specified serum will enhance you to the maximum, Bruce. You must take it, otherwise I am not sure even you would survive until you could be president."

Bruce's eyes narrowed as he looked at his hands and the scars on them. His thoughts went to Alfred, who was old, and Bruce knew Alfred would reject the serum if he himself didn't take it. Finally, for Alfred, Bruce agreed to it.

Harry smiled happily while he summoned a manuscript from his storage trunk. Harry had checked what books existed in this combined world when he had time, and he was happy that A Game of Thrones by Martin or by anyone didn't exist in this universe. Immediately he had used his memories and perfect recall to remember the book series and finally wrote it using telekinesis as well as magic. It took him almost 19 hours over several days to manually control the pen using telekinesis and write the pages simultaneously. By the third day he could use six pens at the same time and copy the print down from memory. It was good practice for his telekinesis and even wandless magical control.

He gave the bound pages to Bruce, who looked curious and read over the name.

"Here, Bruce, publish under your name and see for yourself what I explained. You will see for yourself that people will start to see you slightly differently, and many would even accuse you that it was ghost-written."

Bruce eyed the book and even speed-read through a couple of pages.

"I will read it and decide whether to publish or not. I have a standard to maintain after all if I am going to enter this new sector," Bruce said with finality.

Harry grinned predatorily as he was sure Bruce would succeed like everything else he had put his mind and business acumen to. After all, he made a 12-billion-dollar company into a 50-billion enterprise in almost a decade, one of the biggest in this world.

"So, anything else for me to do? your grace." Bruce added with only a glint in his eyes.

Harry's eyes widened slightly before he laughed heartily.

"The world is ending because Batman is joking," Harry snipped. "Since you asked, there is something. I want you to make a training room with Red Sun radiation for Kal."

Bruce almost nodded before Harry added, "Here in the cave."

"What? I am not a babysitter," Bruce snapped.

"Oh, come on, he would be far more safer temporary Robin than your usual apprentices." Harry said with a shrug. "Don't worry about him that much since I will be here whenever he is here to train and practice with. Even I need to relearn my martial prowess, while he needs the lessons. Who is better to supervise and train against than yourself?"

Authors Note:  so batman is successfully recruited… being broken and healed my have helped to make harry more convincing as well as some mental nudges… as for the plan, don don't worry, we are not going to follow bruce closely and become a Hollywood fic.. tbh I never had any plan to venture that way for bruce, yet in my view to even have a chance for being potus within 15 years, even one rich as bruce would need a very exceptional story for people to believe in…. the plans and work will happen in background and we are still following harry….
