Chapter 52 - Closer

Bursting out of the water fang was hit back down as a white snowglobe ball with clouds shifting around inside made contact.

A few seconds past and fang was nowhere to be found. Around thirty seconds later a freezing frost crawled everywhere practically freezing sections of the small river.

Damon watched carefully as he knew fang had something up his sleeve.

Boom!

Big Chunks of ice from the river shot up and flew towards Damon. He dodged the first four, but had some difficulty as the chunks got bigger then suddenly stopped. Seconds later three six foot blocks of ice flew up, coming at him all at once.

Flipping and sliding out the way Damon instantly felt something wasn't right. The chunks of ice were too big and very slow. He looked around with eager eyes trying to find Fang when multiple cracks were heard behind him, emerging out one of the soaring ice blocks was fang.

"He was...."

Fangs whole body was covered in an icy blue energy. He kicked Damon into one of the ice blocks shattering it completely. He hit the ground in pain as one of his arms folded inward with a snap, he could feel his ribs shift slightly as the ground caved in slightlycreatinga small crater.

Landing next to him fang was breathing pretty hard. Looking at Damons arm he realized he went overboard but didn't have the breath to apologize at the moment as he fell to his knees.

"He was able to push Fang further than me. " Calvus thought with a displeased look at first, but it gradually turned into a smirk.

Damon laid there activating recovery mist banging the back of his head on the ground trying to figure out what mistakes he made that hurt him the most.

He never thought he would actually win, He just wanted to learn a little. He was learning about himself and paying attention to his flaws as it was the only way he would get better.

He paid attention to the moves his body would instinctively do like an uppercut and choke slamming his opponent. He had done the same to Taylen twice.

Ding!

[Objective completed.]

[230 exp gained.]

[380/1200 exp.]

[skill- recovery mist has reached Level 2- mist healing speed has increased. ]

[skill-down pour has reached Level 2. heavy rainfall now takes away stamina from oppents at a slow rate.]

Seeing his objective completed and leveling up two more skills made him he realize he had done better than he thought. Fang had a few minor wounds, and Damons mist was healing him as well.

Damon was smiling from ear to ear, out of all these years, his rain was finally developing. To be able to drain someone stamina was a great skill.

"I have to admit, for someone who's lacking a fighting technique. Your strikes hurt like hell." Fang said with an outstretched hand helping him to his feet.

"Yea, well for someone so thin. You can take some hits."

"Thin? " What the hell do you mean, you overgrown monkey."

"You heard me, instead of cooking all the time you may need to eat more." Damon said in a witty tone.

The next moment fang was putting Damon in a headlock.

"Get off me you frost rat. "

Calvus began laughing uncontrollably as Damon and Fang went back and forth for while. They all had gotten much closer in such a short time. Different sides of themselves had began showing.

From the moment they encountered the ape beast, Fang had decided there was no way he would worry about his original task with recording their progress. It was all about sticking together, getting stronger and getting off the planet as soon as possible to him now.

After their wounds were healed, they all sat down and enjoyed a meal. It was the usual beast meat with nothing but water.

Loud noises and weird sounds echoed throughout the night which made them keep a eye out, even though they felt safe inside the cave with Fangs ice covering the entrance.

"Hmmm, sounds like nature taking it's course out there." Damon thought laying down in his tent. It wasn't long before he drifted off as he barely had any rest.

[BACK AT HOME]

Walking through a massive building full of machinery with hundreds of conveyor belts and glass doors, was a seven foot man with a red beard. His fists were at his side as his eyes focused on the path in front of him. A bulging vein moved in the middle of his forehead as his walking speed increased.

"Bell, tell me you have something on where the hell my son Calvus is. Its been three days now. " A strong voice resounded throughout a large room.

"Malcolm, I assure you, Me and my team are doing everything we can to target they're precise location. We've made contact with them like I told you before and for the moment they are safe."

More veins appeared on the top of his bald head twitching like dying snakes.

"Don't play with my intelligence, you said they contacted you on the first day. Well they haven't contacted you since so how can you be so sure my son is fine."

"Why can't you reboot or remap that damn machine of yours, you built the damn thing."

"Malcom, you of all people know it doesn't work that way. The gate was closed before the saving sequence was activated. There is no way to tell where they are without using the communication system they have. The more they contact me , the stronger their signal and directions to their location will become. "

Just then Gavin and Issac walked in along with a beautiful brown vanilla skinned woman with salt and pepper hair that formed into a single pigtail stopping at her waistline.

"Mr. Bell, has anything changed, have you located my brother Fang." The woman asked. Her diamond blue eyes moist with water. Around her eyes looked to be irritated and red like she had been crying.

"You're wasting your breath, He doesn't know where they are. I should tare you to pieces right now." Sir Hughes shouted.

Tension filled the room as blood lusting energy was felt. Gavin and Issac backed away as the blue slick haired man called Bell and Calvus father, Sir Hughes moved in front of eachother.

"Hmph, We both know that's easier said than done, don't act like you didn't have a hand in this. You helped come up with this test, this is your fault as well. You wanted your son to be one of the first

"I really don't feel like destroying my lab right now, but if you rather fight than figure this shit out then so be it." Bell said calmly pushing his glasses up on his nose.

Sir Hughes looked at him balling up his lips as if he wanted punch him,but instead turned around and took in a deep breath.

"If you haven't found what planet they're on, then what have you found."

" We know the area they're in, but not the exact planet. Whatever happened scrambled our original location and somehow forced them to an entirely different world. That's the theory anyway, other than that I have no logical explanation how this occurred."

Gavin and Issac listened in on the conversation and so did the dark skin beauty. The question on everyone's mind was where do they go from here.

"We also know how many planets are in the solar system they're in. It's twelve. We could send Soul masters to all twelve, money won't be a problem."

"Do it, the first person or team to give me a location on my son will receive one thousand in gold. Put the word out with your social technology or whatever it is you call it." He said before walking out.

Bells attention turned to the rest of them, He assured them as well that he would do everything he can to locate them. Issac had informed Gavin about the whole situation, but they both wanted more information.

Walking in on Mr. Hughes and Bell discussing it was everything they needed for now, so they left as well, along with the beautiful woman.

"Cason."

A pale man with the same slick back hair style as bell kneeled before him. The only difference was Cason hair was longer and orange in color. Cason was almost exactly the same size as Mr. Bell as well with his 6 foot and six inch frame.

They both walked through multiple glass doors and down many hallways. Ten minutes later they were on an elevator heading down and soon entering a large spacious area.

Woooooooom!

Woooooom!

The sound of energy constantly firing up echoed from behind a huge glass cage.

A vibrant purple color light pulsated from somekind of core that was broken in half. It had crystallized jagged rocks with glittering sprinkles like an amethyst stone. They stood on the other side of the glass watching its power ripple out.

Thinking of the purple blotch that appeared on the portal moments after Damon and company entered. A wide smile creeped on Bells face.

"Finally, after fourteen years we've discovered the other half of Mother, Is the ship ready."

"Yes, Master."

"Good were going to Planet Sactus 00-5. Make sure to clear our travel under a different location."

"Yes master."

A few hours later he was woken up by Calvus who had his finger over his mouth, signaling for him to stay quiet.

"Not again." Damon thought.

Exiting his tent Fang was looking at the entrance. Multiple deep low growls and scrapping of claws were heard outside.

They stayed quiet and listened closely and could tell it was at least seven to ten beasts.

The ice was was too thick to see through but it wasn't hard to tell they were being hunted, as loud snorting and sniffing sounds were heard by the ice wall along with multiple steps.

"You guys thinks it's something to worry about?." Asked Damon.

"It seems we're ok, if it was something to worry about that ice wall would be shattered by now, but it's best to be prepared. " Said Fang.

Forty minutes passed by and the beasts were still there, then an hour, three hours. Damon took it as a chance for more practice, He shaped clouds and practiced throwing his tomahawks.

Originally they tried to be quiet, but it really wasn't a need now. Whatever was at the wall knew where they were and it didn't seem like they were planning on leaving.

Calvus sat their meditating while Fang did a little practice of his own. Daybreak hit and the beasts were still out in front. They weren't doing a lot of moving around as before, but they could still be heard.

After talking about it for a while, they agreed to go out and take care of the beasts before they brought them more unwanted attention, like a strong beast that could take down fangs ice wall.

With a wave of his hands, the ice wall began crumbling, with a look and a nod they ran out, but stayed close to the entrance.

[Oversee]
