" GET READY FOLKS,WE ARE ABOUT TO BEGIN " the training instructor said.
* Though I was nervous, but I think I now have a clear chance of staying through till the end. I stood behind almost the last group as I watch one of the most gruesome training session which automatically stir up my fears, and the big question came back, ringing in my head ' what am I doing here ' *
A girl named Stella Mayfield stepped forward, walking shakily towards the instructor.
" WHAT'S YOUR NAME KIDDO " the instructor asked.
" Stella.... Stella Mayfield..sir " she said stuttering.
" IF YOU ARE SCARED AND DON'T WANT TO BE HERE, PLEASE, YOU CAN STILL LEAVE " the instructor said calmly.
" Am am....I think I belong here "
" No one belongs here baby girl " a female voice said from the crowd, making everyone laugh a bit.
" THEN LET'S BEGIN " the instructor said
Pointing out a doorway by his left.
* Some people came out with teary eyes and others smiling, I don't really know what the test is but I'll put in my best in order to pass *
It finally came down to Wilson's turn as he stood in front of the instructor, a bit afraid, but over the years he has learned how to suppress his emotions.
" ARE YOU READY " the instructor asked.
" Yes " Wilson replied knowing fully well he wasn't.
He was then directed to the left, which he followed quietly and was expecting the worse to happen.
He got to the door, a door painted black and white with a sign that read.
" Throw away all fragment of fear and embrace a stone heart " .
He scoffed a bit and and opened the door walking in confidently, ignoring a last reading that says.
" Don't be fooled, death is real ".
Wilson entered the room and saw nothing, it was an empty squared room.
" What the hell " he muttered.
" Wilson dariket, welcome in, are you ready for the test " the voice was so heavy in his ears that he didn't realize he was on the floor.
" I see you are a bit blown away with my voice, well it's natural " the voice continued.
" So tell me if you are ready " the voice said.
Wilson stood up with a nod, he couldn't even answer, still trying to recover from the waves the voice patches in his head.
" Okay, Wilson, do you know a person who thinks he cannot be afraid must be afraid of something. you on the other hand makes your emotions grieve in you that you think you are all grown up. So Wilson today we give you your biggest fear to see if you can endure as you've always done ".
* I was still trying to put myself together when he said those things, I was surprised, how the hell did he know that much about me, before I could ask any questions the room changed into a Forest *
Wilson was unable to speak because he recognized the forest, it was the same one in his dream.
He started hearing gunshots and screams coming towards him, from the rough movements of the trees he could tell those monsters were coming.
He took some steps backward breathing heavily, with his mind split in two, the first was to stay and face his fears besides it wasn't real, but the second was his inner ego telling him to run or they are going to die.
He tried running but was unable to, looking at his legs he saw them stuck in the mud, but he was able to turn and walk but cannot run.
" What's happening " he said in panic.
Tears gathering around his eyes, he looked at the direction the monsters were coming from and the trees were still, no more gunshot sounds, he was a bit calm.
" Let's get out of here " he said to himself.
He was about walking out the region when heard a growl behind him.
Trying his possible best not to turn around.
" This isn't real " he said those word repeatedly.
" Wilson look at me " he heard a voice behind him.
He turned around to see a man standing in front of him naked.
Breathing with relief Wilson asked
" is it over ?"
" Who said anything about your suffering being over, you are in hell " the weird looking man said.
The woods changed into a war dessert where Wilson saw a lot of dead bodies.
" This is just a glimpse of my fears, it isn't real ".
He was looking around when he saw a viggon monster coming towards him, Wilson started running as fast as he could, but this monsters will make even the fastest man look slow, and Wilson wasn't that fast to buy himself time, the monster closed in on him, before he could find a place to hide, the monster pounced him, still struggling on the ground, the monster found an opening and bit him by the shoulder, giving him a bloody wound, Wilson was in screams when the room changed back to the squared room, with himself in tears, shaking vigorously on the floor.
" Now that we brought that reality of you back, let's start from the beginning, why do you want to be a warman, I know your therapist has indeed asked this same question before you all came here, but I want to hear it for myself "
" I...I..want to..pro.. protect those who can't help themselves, I want...to m..make a difference " Wilson replied stuttering.
" You know eventually you become one you'll have to face those monsters till the day you die or the day we conquer them.
So give me an answer will, are you in for this or out for good "
" I am Wilson dariket and I want to be a warman to help the world eradicate this monsters out of our lives and purify our future " Wilson replied boldly.
" Pick up the papers from the floor and submit to captain Mason, trainee, you are part of his squad now, good luck soldier "
* I couldn't answer to his luck wishes or ask him how the papers came in the room,I just picked up the papers and walked out, I got to the hall where I thought people will be a little bit annoyed for me being long in there but I found out it was just me and the instructor in the hall *
" DID YOU FINISH OR YOU ARE GOING HOME ?" He asked.
" I will like to ask you where can I find captain Mason " I said.
He smiled at me then said.
" FOLLOW THE RED LIGHTS IT'LL TAKE YOU TO HIS SQUADRON HALL, THERE YOU'LL FIND HIM "
" Thank you sir " I said about leaving when he said.
" THE ROAD IS TOUGH KID SO GOOD LUCK "
* I gave a nod then walked out of the hall, wishing me good luck because am going to be a warman isn't that bad the problem is can I face my fears all through, so I'll say that good luck I really need it *
