Chapter 382 - Kevin vs. Tarsa

Town Square, Grand Province

Xavier's head lifted from the concrete tiles, gasping upon the fading of Chrome's body into the air. "You're a good fighter, Protector of the Phantoms," he admired. "I look forward to our next battle." Riley's eyes bulged, focusing on Chrome's physical disappearance from the Town Square. "A clone," he whispered. His strict gaze turned towards Xavier, still captivated by curiosity and confusion. "Rare to see someone from the northeast all the way out here," Riley began, supporting Xavier off the ground with a bright smile.

Xavier hesitated for a moment, noticing the NFEHH emblem on Riley's long, white robe. "Riley, the NFEHH's captain. Pleasure to meet you, although it isn't under the best circumstances."

Riley smiled, accepting Xavier's formal handshake. "While you two were causing a scene, I sensed eight separate powers racing across the Common Realm's streets. Four of them were easy to pick up, while I had to use Advanced Senses to track the other four."

"Three of the four members you picked up with Standard Senses were my allies, while Lila represented the fourth. Not long ago, I told them to race after the fleeing cult members…" Riley nodded, admiring Xavier's intelligent decision. "Even if they don't succeed at containing the cultists, I believe it won't be long until they're contained…"

Volume 13, Chapter 52 - Kevin vs. Tarsa

Kevin's fist struck through the pile of debris stacked onto his body, pushing them into the air with his gravitational force. He wiped the dust from his face, glaring into his opponent's red, dreadful eyes. "Seems like you survived that attack," the beast began, pushing his sharp, pointy teeth into his tongue's flesh. Kevin's eyes blurred, clashing against the excruciating pain settling into his limbs. "Trembling with just a singular punch," he whispered. The beast cackled, slamming his right leg against the concrete tiles. "I am no longer Tarsa the Strong," he declared. "Ever since I joined Fire Moon, I became Tarsa the Beast!"

"Tarsa's your name, eh?" Kevin joked, struggling to maintain his breathing patterns. "No matter how much power you have, you aren't a beast for you were still born a human!"

Tarsa's fist began to glow white, coated by Pyron's raging flames. "You barely know me, leaving you out of place to classify me as anything!" A strong essence of power emitted from his body, creating a persisting rumble across the streets. "I'll pummel you until you learn how to respect your elders, boy!"

Kevin's stance widened, brushing his blue shoes against the vibrant tiles. "Like it or not, everyone here was born human! You can beat me, but I'll fight back until I'm unable to stand, let alone breathe!" The beast's eyes bulged, remaining shocked from Kevin's persistence. "Very well then," he replied. His body disappeared into thin air, leaving Kevin to sense his power's swift movement across the street. A singular second passed, and he reappeared behind Kevin with a blinding-white shade of fire. "Dimensional Flame!"

Kevin's fist tightened, quickly countering with a Gravitational Spear. Both attacks whirred through the sky, causing an explosive reaction blowing them opposite sides across the street. Tarsa disappeared from his starting point yet again, attempting to sweep Kevin with his kick's extreme force. The boy quickly weaved, pushing his left fist onto the ground to propel his right. "GRAVITATIONAL PUSHING PUNCH!"

His fist extended, pushing his fist's gravitational force against Tarsa's rock-hard skin. Fully recovered from his leg attack, Tarsa firmly grappled onto Kevin's right hand.

"Your screams of pain delight me, boy!" he shouted, listening to Kevin's scream of absolute pain. He threw Kevin into the air, pushing him across the streets with a dangerous dropkick. "I've heard so much about you, yet you haven't impressed me one bit! Crawl across the ground and BEG FOR MY FORGIVENESS!"

The impact sent another large rumble across the streets, pouring small rocks of debris into the large dust cloud. He slapped through the dust, meeting Tarsa's bloodshot eyes once again.

Just like the battle's beginning, the efficiency of Kevin's stance began to crack. "Beg for your forgiveness?" Kevin questioned, replacing his painful frown with his determined smile. "To surpass the Realm God, I have to continue pushing towards victory! If I surrender now, my progress will be in vain!"

A wispy, purple presence circulated across Kevin's body, merging with his outstretched fist. This presence resurrected the purple glow surging through his veins, now pulsing with multiple colors like a rainbow.

Tarsa's eyes rolled, pushing his body across the streets towards Kevin's shaking body. "This fight is guaranteed to end in your surrender, boy! Using my dimensional power, you'll be floating through an endless void serving as your tombstone!"

Pushing through the air like a fighter jet, Tarsa's body disappeared into thin air once again. His calm expression maintained, Kevin's hands joined together. "Gravitational…"

The air near his chest began to swirl, revealing Pyron's immense flames merged with Tarsa's dimensional powers. Once his eyes readjusted, the so-called beast gasped in utter shock.

"HAMMER!"

The Gravitational Hammer instantly consumed the force of Tarsa's sneaky punch, slamming right into his back and forcing him against the concrete. The wind's whirring drowned Tarsa's shouts of pain, abruptly returning to silence just moments after.

The silence, in question, was nothing anticipated - Kevin's body thudded against the ground, lifting his head across the streets. His head lifted, confronted by a sudden wave of shock striking him like an almighty sword.

All that remained on the battlefield was Kevin's fatigued body, and the fierce battle's aftermath.
