Caspian sighed. "Not exactly. But they'll tattle to Asher about where I am, and he'll show up."
A mischievous light twinkled in Angelo's eyes as he nodded solemnly. "I understand."
Caspian wasn't exactly sure what he understood, getting thrown against his seatbelt when they suddenly sped up. A series of sharp turns later, they were parked in a bustling parking lot. He could only watch in quiet shock as the car his bodyguards were driving sped past them, still chasing after them.
He found that he couldn't say anything until they were driving up to the knife-throwing arena, his jumbled thoughts visible on his face.
"Asher is a Mafia King," Angelo spoke up as he turned off the car. "You can't reason with him."
After seeing the light slowly go out of Caspian's eyes, Angelo realized he knew the Omega better than he thought. Caspian was too nice; it was clear he didn't understand how sturdy his mate was.
Caspian's eyes slowly widened. "Oh," he mumbled, still not understanding.
