Lake was waiting impatiently at the front doors for the other two Omegas to arrive. They hadn't hung out recently, and he was beginning to shrivel from boredom being stuck in the house all day—he couldn't wait for the baby to be born.
Caspian was the first to arrive, the Omega's smile especially warm on a late winter morning. He was bundled up in a soft gray coat, which made him look older and tired.
Lake frowned as they hugged awkwardly because of his bulging belly. "Are you alright?"
Caspian's smile stung his eyes, but he bravely kept it on. "I was too excited for today to sleep."
Lake accepted this excuse easily, even though the weariness seemed etched into his friend's eyes—certainly not the result of missing sleep for just one night. "I feel like you're more excited for the dance session than you are to see me," he teased lightly.
