Standing there in a full wedding ensemble, Angelo wondered what was supposed to come after this. He stared at Nikolai through the tulle of his veil, wary of moving on his unsteady shoes.
"When can I take this off?" He asked after a long stretch of silence with Nikolai doing nothing but staring.
Nikolai's murky gaze darkened, visibly displeased by the mere suggestion. "Come here," He murmured, closing the distance despite his words.
Angelo braced himself to be swept off his feet, already starting to get used to the miniscule changes in Nikolai's eyes. So he was completely caught off guard when the Alpha lifted his veil instead, a gentle, reverent kiss pressed to his lips.
His heart thumped so hard it hurt, heat rushing to his face. His vision cleared, the layered veil falling down his back, well past his long hair. Then he was swept off his feet.
