Chapter 2873 - Tamriel 1

When I come too with my head pounding in agony I'm in a cart, with my hands bound behind my back next to me a Argonian who's in the same boat. Other then one other guy everyone else appears to be a Stormclock, great. I'm stuck in the back with a bunch of Nords that think I'm a blight upon the land even after nearly three generations of working it. Great, what to do now.

"Right, I can guess why the Stormcloaks are here. I was just trying to cross the border, how about you?" The Argonian looks me over for a few seconds before seeming to make a decision.

"It was the same for me, I was making my way into Skyrim when I came across the Imps and the Stormcloaks fighting. Apparently we must be members of the latter given we haven't joined the former."

"Of course we must." There was a reason I stayed out of the Imperial vs Stormcloak debates and it wasn't just because I was sick of the Battle-borns and Gray-Manes fighting about it all the time. Hopefully there is someone reasonable where-ever we're going.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Execute them all!!!" No, of course not. We have to be with the dammed head of the Stormcloaks so they want everyone dead as soon as possible. Not a single word from anyone but the guy with the list and now here we are about to get our heads chopped off.

"I see you were mistaken, I suppose I shall be one with this Hist sooner then I wished." The Argonian, Shadeheart is dragged to the block. Head forced down while strange cries echo throughout the mountains, I think I'm next. They started with one of the most belligerent Stormcloaks but now they seem to be getting rid of the ones that threaten the story they plan to weave.

[Suitable Host determined, time of chaos arriving. Use our gift well.]

"Are you one of the nine?" Intervention from one of them would be a miracle right now, I'd honestly accepting help from some of the more palpable daedric princes.

[Incorrect, we are a force beyond those. You are our entertainment, given great potential to ensure our need for stimulation is satisfied. Try not to die.

Granting extra roll due to lack of current skills. 4 Golden Random Tickets to be distributed.]

[Rare Item: Bag of Endless Coins - A bag that produces 1000 gold coins every day.]

Even as some force grants me the knowledge on how to use the various things I can acquire from this boon. It works, unfortunately coins won't help me right now bound and facing the chopping block.

[Rare Ability: Call Thunder - Allows you to call down powerful thunder that strikes from the sky to strike any location in your sensory range, not very effective indoors.]

Okay this I could work with, calling upon the heaven's wrath would be very nice right now.

[Rare Skill: Total Concentration Breathing - Demon Slayer - You are trained in the Total Concentration Breathing technique. Allowing you to breathe in such a way that you can increase the concentration of oxygen in your blood and activate your muscles better, giving you a superhuman physique as long as you maintain the breathing. With enough training, you can constantly use this breathing without thinking.]

The feeling of knowledge being shoved into my head is not pleasant but it can't feel worse then an axe chopping off my head. I think if i do this right I could break my bonds.

[Uncommon Trait: Lady Killer - You are a natural lady killer, women always find you at least a little attractive regardless of their preferences, and a decent chunk of women would consider you handsome.]

I would very much appreciate something more useful at the moment!

"WHAT IS THAT!!!" My thoughts are shaken by the cry and I look up to see a dragon falling down from the sky. I know what they should look like, I've heard all the legends, and that right there is a dragon.

Everything goes insane in a second, people fleeing, fire everywhere, and as the Imperials begin to fight the Stormcloaks make to flee. Shadeheart and I among them because for all their issues with us I think they'll have something bigger to focus on.

-x-X-x-

.

.

Inside the keep tower we fled to I break my bonds and undo Shadeheart, my new breathing style already giving me extra strength. Our eyes meet and we nod, a silent deal struck. Neither of us trust the Stormcloaks so for the moment we'll watch each others backs.

"You two with me." I turn to the one that called out, Ralof the Imperial with the list called him. "We're going to try and get out one way while the others take different routes, even a Dragon can't strike at us all at once." Ahh, we're to be bait then. Better running out there then surrounded by Stormcloaks while dragon fire rains down from the sky.

"RWAHHHH!!" The cry is followed by the sound of the wall upstairs being demolished. Yes, running is sounding very appealing.

"Come warm-blood, we should make our way around. I saw the other gate go up in flames." Shadeheart is first in jumping from the tower, with me following shortly after. Dragons are agreat way to get rid of the nerves of jumping to my possible death. Thankfully my breathing enhancing my strength means I easily make it.

"Everyone get back!!" The cry is followed by a shriek and then a stream of fire, a handful of people scrambling around the side of a building to avoid being cooked alive. The imp that stood up for Shadeheart and I, Hadvar, takes the sight of us in and doesn't seem to care beyond the fact our arms are free for a second.

"You two, come with me. We need to find General Tulius, you join the defense and I'm certain he'll see reason." I don't believe that myself but he's not attacking us and probably knows the layout better then us.

"Very well, you lead the way and we shall follow." I back Shadeheart's statement and we're following the soldier as he leads us through the burning town.

-x-X-x-

The flames crackle, screams fill the air, and all throughout it that dammed dragon soars through the sky, occasionally lunging down to grab a poor soul and carry them up into the air to drop to their deaths. We have a close call where lands literally three steps in front of us but it chooses to ignore us in favor of the soldier it dropped down to burn alive.

"PHWAAH" Another blast comes down, I don't see it coming. It lands right in to my side and splashes me with flames. My left arm is singed badly and I can feel the same side of my face sizzle but I can still run, somewhat. Shadeheart dropping her pace to offer me support is a welcome thing.

"Are you all-right?!"

"Hurts like hell and I won't be using it for a while but I'm still breathing." Fuck it hurts but I don't look like I was pulled out of a blacksmith's furnace.

"Hadvar get out through the barracks with anyone you can. Meet back up at Solitude." I'm not paying too much attention to the General, just thankful he isn't ordering us filled with arrows before focusing back on the Dragon. With Shadeheart's help I follow along and find Hadvar arguing with Ralof, the two of them shouting at one another before making to leave in different directions.

-x-X-x-

"Will you idiots stop fighting and get inside. You can fight each other when we aren't at risk of getting turned into charcoal!!" It hurts to shout, the burnt skin not liking it when I do so but I'd rather have two warrior with us then risking them fight.

Hadvar and Ralof share a glance and nod, Ralof letting Hadvar take the lead while Shadeheart and I follow. The screams of another man crying out as he rushes towards the ground are cut off as the door slams shut behind me. We all take a second to rest and then the two Nords are glaring at each other once more. I hiss at them Shadeheart sets me down on a bed and looks over my wounds.

"Will you two cut it out, there is a fucking dragon outside. Bury the hatchet for now and wait until we can get away from it before you start trying to kill one another. I'd rather not get cooked anymore then I already am." Hadvar looks at Ralof and nods.

"He's right Ralof, we can fight another day. I swear upon the Nine to honor this truce, we shall get out alive and go our separate ways." Ralof looks at him in shock but takes his hand.

"I can agree to that, till we are safe we are united and even then we go in peace."

[Rare Ability: Despair Aura III - Allows you to emit an aura of despair that makes people feel a sense of deep unease and fear toward you, weaker targets will feel their morale and spirits crushed and be overcome with despair unable to retaliate.]

I slot that one into place, happy I'll be able to do something … I pause that thought at Shadeheart holds a hand up to my wounds and it glows with light.

"Stay still, I should be able to remove the scars from you. I imagine you would look handsome even then but burns can have lasting effects down the line." The magic seeps into my body and I welcome the warm relief as my burns fade.

"Thank you."

"You got my arms free, this repays my debt." I nod and stand up; Ralof and Hadvar gathering all they can salvage from the barracks.

-x-X-x-

Thankfully there was enough to outfit both myself and Shadeheart in imperial armor; although she had a very unique way of wearing it, preferring to maximize the amount of movement she could have.

.

--------------->

.

With her taking the two daggers we found while letting me take the sword we were also armed. I might not be trained in it but I'm at least confident I won't kill myself with it.

"Right, we stick together and we get out quickly. Be careful when we get lower because those tunnels are old and haven't been used; there's no telling whats crawled into them since." Ralof nods, holding only a shield he had found and saying he'd wait for an axe or at least a larger weapon. Our group makes it's way forward only to stop down the hallway as voices fill the air. Eyeing each for a second we make our way forward, flicking the switch to open the gate and entering a chamber to find two Stormcloaks.

"Imperials!!" They rise up, weapons at the ready but Ralof gets in front.

"Hold Brother, Sister. We have an accord, Hadvar leads us out and we separate in peace. I gave my word and honor upon it." the two armed Stormcloaks look at one another. Hadvar doesn't draw his weapon but its a close thing, while Shadeheart has her daggers ready. I never sheathed my sword but I point it away from them.

-x-X-x-

"Very well brother, we shall stay our hand for now. We shall abide by your truce." Hadvar removes his hand from the sword and moves forward.

"I'm glad we can avoid a fight. Now come along, this building is strong but I don't trust it to stand up to a dragon." That gets everyone moving, checking the walls above us and making each shake a concern, justified ones given the ceiling collapses behind us as we make our way down the next level.

"Ralof, this was the wisest call you could make." He nods and then looks at me, giving me a deeper nod. Thankfully our next meeting with Stormcloaks goes more smoothly, the fact the numbers are now in their favor isn't even a concern given how Ralof makes it clear he's placed his honor on their cooperation. We even manage to stock up, each member of our small party handed a bag of provisions. Sadly the next floor doesn't goes as smoothly as the sounds of fighting reach us.

"Shit, what is that old blackheart doing!" We find a torture room, an old wizard and a massive warrior fighting another batch of Stormcloaks. Hadvar and Ralof intervene, thankfully no one is dead yet but now all the Stormcloaks look ready to come to blows. Shadeheart is scooting back, in a position that I lets her strike from behind as the arguing grows.

"We need to kill them all, they're the enemy."

"A dragon is outside, we need to run before this whole place comes down on top of us."

"Look at what they've done Ralof, we have to avenge our brothers and sisters."

"I'm as angry as you but we have an accord and my honor won't allow me to strike out at them." They won't be able to stop it this time, before it was a mild hate but now the Stormcloaks are seeing the results of this old man's handiwork and they have a serious numbers advantage now.

-x-X-x-

"ShUt Up!!" Tapping into Despair Aura I can practically see the miasma leaking out and spreading among the soldiers and the old man.

"We are all going to leave, I agree he's a sick freak that no one will cry for once he's cold in the ground but you know what he also is?! A skilled mage, and I'd quite like that if we run into any beasties or monsters further down." Marching past their frozen forms I grab the Mage and push him against one of the cages.

"As for you, you will behave and when we're out of here you will happily walk the other way from these Stormcloaks without a hint of violence or so help me I will slit you groin to throat as slowly as I can!" I shove him forward, placing him at the head of the pack as the others lower their weapons and start forming up in a lose formation, Ralof and Hadvar taking command while Shadeheart slides up to me.

"That was quite impressive, you had seasoned warriors ready to soil themselves."

"Thanks, help me keep an eye on him though. I don't want to risk him trying to fry us while we're in this group."

"Agreed, keep this up. You're becoming quite … impressive." I shiver as her tail slowly slides against my leg and she walks ahead with a captivating sway in her step. Even some of the Stormcloaks can't help but watch as she moves, one getting smack upside the head by his shield-sister.

.

------------>

.

"Hadvar, thank the divines you're ali.. Shit Stormcloaks!!" A group of Imperials are our next little run-in. Thankfully their greater discipline means that when Hadvar gets between them they hold their arrows and let him explain, none of them like it but they aren't willing to push it. Not when we hear the sound of another ceiling collapsing behind us.

"I don't know how the General will take this Hadvar but for now I agree with this course of action. I give my word to honor this accord so long as they do." That sees us moving forward, the torturer grumbling all the while but keeping his hands pointed away from the Stormcloaks, honestly I don't think the Imperials would mind if we did cut him down with the looks they were giving him.

"RAHH!!!" Another roar sees us all looking up as the ceiling shakes.

"Move!" Its close but we all get across the bridge before it is crushed by falling stone. Everyone shares looks and moves forward, a fragile trust forged by the nightmare above us. As we crawl lower the air chills and Shadeheart calls out.

"I can taste spider in the air. We must be approaching a nest." That gets everyones attention and they all get ready to fight. Frostbite Spiders are nasty and sometimes if desperate they'll even come after livestock. As we approach the next cave the webbing builds up and we can hear their skittering around.

-x-X-x-

It's a massacre, the Stormcloaks charging in after a wave of arrows and magic from the Imperials soften them up. Shadeheart dances across the battlefield, coming in from wherever the spiders aren't guarding and severing legs or carving open sides. It's an amazing sight but a bit of movement catches my attention and draws gaze up to see a particularly large frostbite come down from right above Shadeheart.

"Above you!" I move forward, Breathing giving me the boost I need to grab Shadeheart and pulling her out of the way of the spider slamming down to the ground. Swinging my sword at it with all the strength I can muster I cleave it's face in two; not even giving it time to let loose a death keel as its mutilated body crashes to the ground.

Useful down the line but for now it doesn't help me.

"Hmm, what sort of training did you undergo?" Shadeheart is quiet, the rest of the group is impressed but already moving on.

"I was a farmer, this is all new to me." Shadeheart looks me in the eyes, searching for something but seems satisfied with whatever she sees.

"Well then you are quite the diamond in the rough." Fuck; her tail brushes against me once more but this time she also makes sure to press her chest into mine, showing off her cleavage as she does so.

"Do keep impressing me, I find I quite like it." The next cavern isn't far but whats in it give us pause. Skyrim's bear population is no laughing matter, a full grown one can rip a man to shreds easily and this one is quite large and no matter what we do I'm certain someone will make a noise that gets it up and moving.

-x-X-x-

Thankfully a volley of arrows takes the creature out quickly in it's sleep. Moving forward quickly we all hurry outside, eager to get out of this cave.

I would like to think on that more but the cry of the dragon gives me something else to focus upon.

"Keep down!" Hadvar's warning has everyone pause, sticking to the mouth of the cave and further back. The dragon that just torched Helgen to the ground flies by, roaring as it does so. For minute no one dares to breath, waiting to see if we needed to flee back inside but as the dragon becomes a speck in the sky our fear decreases. For a second both sides eye each other but the urge to fight isn't there, not after what we all just went through. Even the torturer isn't willing to start something although that might just be my promise to bisect him.

"Alright you lot back to Windhelm with you, I need to check on Riverwood." Ralof sends his men off, warning them to avoid picking fights and to get back as soon as possible while Hadvar does the same on his end.

"Report back to Solitude as quickly as you can. I pray the General survived but if he didn't Legate Rikke must know what happened and get our troops informed and mobilized." The Legion soldiers salute and march of, dragging the torturer along and soon it's just Ralof, Hadvar, Shadeheart, and myself. The two stare each other down before Shadeheart cuts through the silence.

"Will you two quit this foolish staring contest, it's obvious the two of you might as well have been from the same clutch." They focus on her for a second and then look towards one another.

"Continue the truce till we can see how home is?" Hadvar holds out his hand in response.

"Aye Ralof, lets go home." They shake on it and turn to us.

"If you don't mind I'd prefer we come with you, safety in numbers. Shadeheart?"

"Agreed, not to mention soon the sun will set. I'd prefer a bed after today."

"There's an inn in Riverwood, I've got some coin on me to get your a room tonight. My uncle will have a place and Ralof's sister can put him up, a saint that one for putting up with his snoring."

"Oh now that is rich coming from you, at least I can attempt to sing without scaring off the wildlife if they don't go deaf." Oh yes these two are brothers, another reminder of the bonds torn apart by the Civil War we're in.

-x-X-x-

I had heard tales of the Guardian Stones and the blessings they could impart. As I touched the Mage Stone I had my belief in them solidified as I felt an energy pass through me, Shadeheart shivering herself as she touched the Thief Stone.

"I have to admit I say the lass there picking the Thief Stone but you chose Mage?

"I've wanted to learn before but I was a farmer and the third son at that. We had more important things to spend money on and couldn't spare the time for further education. If this can help I'll take it." Shadeheart smiles at me as I speak.

"If that is your desire I can help you learn the basics, heal and flames to start with."

"That would be much appreciated." Shadeheart nods and then moves behind me, startling me when she jumps up and grabs me from behind. Her arms across my chest and her legs around my waist, I instinctively reach up and grab her thighs to gain support.

"Good, now pay for your first lesson by carrying me to Riverwood. I require rest after today and the back of my leg is still sore from one of those legion brutes kicking my leg out from under me." I don't bother arguing, shifting her around a bit to get her better balanced and following off after Hadvar and Ralof, both of who shoot me a smirk. Once they turn their backs though Shadeheart's tail wraps around me and begins to glide across my groin.

"And perhaps we'll find other ways you can pay me for future lessons." This woman is a succubus, that can be the only explanation.

.

---------------->

.

-x-X-x-

Riverwood was a smaller settlement, a few dozen people at most. The fact is wasn't on fire with corpses scattered across the ground was a welcome sight.

"Hadvar, it that you?"

"Uncle Alvor, good to see you." Hadvar moves to greet his uncle while Ralof slips off, heading towards a woman with more then a passing resemblance.

"Hadvar, shall we give you time for a family reunion. I'd like to get some food in my belly and a good night's rest. Shall we meet up tomorrow morning and discuss our next steps." Shadeheart speaks up from my back, having refused to get off although her teasing had abated as we reached the town.

"I agree with Shadeheart, I could use something filling after today and I haven't had a good bed in a while." And if I got a chance to pay this temptress back all the better. Hadvar seems to consider it before nodding and handing me a small pouch.

"That should get you food and lodging for the night, just remember other people will be around." He smirks at us as he says that and walks off with his uncle to go inside the man's house. Ralof is also gone, probably with his sister."

"Alright, ready for your first meal in Skyrim?"

"Quite." Despite her agreement I feel like we're talking about different things. Still I set her down and we walk into the inn, a blonde behind the counter and a delicious smell drifting through the inn.

"Ah, mam can we have two servings of whatever that is along with two tankards of whatever you would have available. That would be much appreciated."

"That will be 5 gold." Giving her the agreed upon amount we take a seat and soon have food and drink in front of us. Conversation is nil as we fill our bellies, eager for noruishment after the day we had, yet as our bowls were emptied and tankards dried I noticed the look Shadeheart was giving me. Clearly she was ready to continue teasing me but I think I had a way to fight back.

"Is you're leg still hurting you?" She thrown off by the change in topic but quickly replies.

"Only slightly, by tomorrow it will be good as new."

"Would you like me to massage it, I think I can make it feel better at the very least." Shadeheart's tail slides across my leg under the table, running along my outer thigh but I manage to not flinch.

"Oh, you have quite the list of talents. If you think you can I suppose it wouldn't hurt." I nod, grabbing our empty bowls and tankards and dropping them at the counter.

"One room please." The owner stares at me before shaking her head and pulling out a key and pointing at a door.

"This one is at least somewhat soundproofed, make too much of a racket and I charge you extra tomorrow." I know I blush at that but still I accept the key and gesture to Shadeheart to follow me.

-x-X-x-

"I suppose I should get rid of these clothes, they would only get in your way." Can't let her get too much of an upperhand.

"Agreed, I want out of this armor as well." I strip down as well, leaving myself in only my pants while Shadeheart strips nude. Slinking down onto the bed and showing off her ass as she does so while throwing me a teasing smirk as her tail hides her most private areas.

.

---------------->

.

"Well, show me what you can do?"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"MMPH!!! Oh by the Hist!!" The power of Master Massage can't be understated. Within minutes Shadeheart had melted like wax beneath my touch as I massaged her thighs and legs, shoving her head into the covers to muffle the noises she couldn't contain.

"How are you feeling, does your leg feel better." Moving to her calfs and keeping up the work as she nods, a sigh of relief showing that she wasn't just playing when she mentioned her pain.

"Ahh, so many times in my life I would have killed to have you around. Could you get my back." I comply and take my chance to have a little payback. Getting on the bed I laydown behind her, gently putting some of my weight down on her legs while my covered cock presses against her ass. Already at full mast from the sight before me and now poking against the source of its state.

I don't give her a chance to reply, just start working on her back and following my new skill on how to deal with the tension in her back. She's moaning again in thirty seconds and more puddle then woman soon after. Just spread out and looking so relaxed, before there was lust and desire in her eye but now thanks and affection are there as well.

"Oh you're a gift from the Hist, stand for a second." I comply and Shadeheart rolls over, sinking back into the bed after she does so. Not putting in any effort to further tease or show off just baring it all as she lays spayed out on the bed.

"Oh could you perhaps massage my chest and then just fuck me. I know we both want it."

.

------------>

.

-x-X-x-

I strip bare myself and straddle her stomach, placing my cock between her breasts and gripping the tantalizing mounds. I do massage them make no mistake, but as I do so I use her to stimulate me further. Enjoying the feeling of her smooth scales on my cock it only gets better as she pokes her tongue out and licks at the head.

.

------------------->

.

"You do know what will happen if you keep that up."

"I could use a snack." The lick that follows that is the one to draw out my release, spraying her face with my cum. Her tongue shooting out to lap it up from her face is an exquisite sight but I can't afford to stop.

.

--------------->

.

"Now let's make sure this is nice and ready for me." Reaching down I finger cunt, enjoying the warm grip on fingers as I continue to play with one of her breasts. Her moans and whimpers tell me to continue as my skills enhance my own experience and allow me to have her writhing on the bed.

.

--------------->

.

"It isn't right for me to have been the only one to cum. Just let go and enjoy it." A quick jab deeper and curling my fingers at the right spot sees her break.

"AHHH!!!" Her back archs as she squirts, soaking my arm before her body collapses back onto the bed. I don't let up, spreading her legs and slapping my still hard cock down on her dripping slit. Her eyes are clouded but I can see she's still ready and excited to continue.

.

-------------->

.

-x-X-x-

"GHHCK!!" No warning, no going slow, after all her teasing I'm too excited for this. I slam into her and relish the feeling of her cunt wrapping around me as I plunge into her.

.

-------------->

.

"Ah, I … I didn't think a fleshy cock would fe..EHH feel so gooood!!" Weak spots are already mapped out but it's harder to concentrate wrapped up in her embrace as I am.

"I can admit I didn't think a scaled slit would either. Glad we're both surprised, now take IT!!! Another thrust has she squealing as she cums around my cock as she grips the sheets, her cunt clamping down on me drawing another release.

.

--------------->

.

"Ahh, ahh you have quite the talent with this blade. I enjoyed it." I chuckle, taking in her trembling body.

"Are you done?" I grab her by the horn, giving her every chance to tell me to let go but she doesn't fight back as I press my cock against her lips.

"Remember to watch the teeth." My piece said I start to fuck her throat as she hung limp in my grip, eagerly licking my cock as she made sure not to bite me.

.

-x-X-x-

Hours passed as I fucked Shadeheart thorugh a variety of positions and degrees of intensity. At the end of it Shadeheart lay on the bed in the form of a panting mess; coated in cum, leaking cum, body quivering as she rode out her last orgasm and barely awake.

"Ahh… ahh… you.. you surpassed all before you. I look forward to when we can do this again." With her piece said she fell asleep, I wasn't in tip top shape but I was in better condition then her.

That will be useful down the line, for now I clean Shadeheart off with a towel an get her under the covers. I make to join her but a knock at the door cuts me off. Having an idea of whats to come I grab the coin pouch Hadvar gave me and pull the door open slightly. The owner is there, tapping her foot. I pass her the pouch and she peeks inside.

"You get breakfast tomorrow on the house, got two wanna-be casanovas that took it real hard hearing how good you were."

-x-X-x-

"So, we hear that someone caused quite a ruckus in Delphine's place last night." Hadvar and Ralof are looking at us with shit eating grins, clearly finding the whole thing very amusing.

"Yes, Elderin drew a great many noises out of me. Far more then I expected but enough of that. What is it you desire? I can practically taste your worry." Shadeheart apparently can be very blunt when she feels like it but it gets the two of them to drop the smirks.

"Hadvar and I are worried about Riverwood, take a look around. It's a small settlement with minimal guards and it's made of wood. If something were to happen like at Helgen…" I finish for him, neither of the two looking willing to say something.

"It would be reduced to ash within minutes." A weight joins the conversation, both men nodding at my statement.

"The two of us have to return to our respective sides before someone starts questioning our loyalties. We'll try to hit up as many of our respective camps, explain the situation and hopefully they'll focus more on watching the skies then killing each other but Riverwood needs protection. Someone needs to go request it from the Jarl." I nod, Balgruuf is an honorable man who would send enough guards to ensure the villagers had a chance to evacuate.

"I was going to head back to Whiterun anyway, see if they got hit. I'd be happy to take a plea for aid while I'm at it."

"Thank you, that's a load of both our minds. What of you Shadeheart?"

"I'm new to Skyrim and require a guide, Elderin has proven interesting so I shall stick with him for now. Besides I keep my word and so I shall teach him what I can of magic." I'm not ashamed to admit how pleased I was she chose to come with me, between surviving Helgen and last night I was already growing fond of her.

"Let's get moving then Shadeheart, if we keep a good pace going we can reach Whiterun by the time the sun starts to dip. At worst we'll have to wait one night to see Jarl Balgruuf." A letter from Gerdur, Ralof's sister and the effective leader of Riverwood, is handed to me along with a sack of provisions. Only two horses could be spared and both Hadvar and Ralof have longer travels ahead of them, goodbyes are said and all four of us split up.

-x-X-x-

"Tell me about Whiterun, I know its one of the majorholds but beyond that nothing much." Shadeheart breaks the silence about an hour into our travel, I had been working on maintaining the Breathing skill at all times but I let it go to answer her question.

"It's the trading hub of Skyrim, pretty much everyone who's making their way across the land stops there to either unload their wares or take a rest. Not to mention its got a lot of farmland, I worked on one myself. In the family for about three or four generations, depending on if you count when the 1st one brought it." Shadeheart looks at me in curiosity at my response.

"And you didn't stay with them?"

"I'm not aware of how Argonians do things but when it comes to farming the first son gets the land but is expected to provide for his younger siblings. What that comes down to is I would have to work for my eldest brother for the rest of my life, so I made a choice to leave. It wasn't a popular decision with the family. What about you?"

"I was born under a special sign, one that put me on a different path from any clutch siblings I had and the ones I found are either scattered to the winds or one with the Hist."

"Oh I'm sorry."

"Do not be, if they have died then it was their time. I have already mourned their passing and now simply wait to see them one day when I join the Hist. Now if you'd like I can begin to teach you the spell for Healing as we travel, Flames shall wait till we are somewhere less likely to burn."

-x-X-x-

The lesson went incredibly well, channeling my magika was easy. Breton blood, the mage stone, and having a feel for it from the Gacha's abilities. Shadeheart was a decent teacher, she was quite clear magic wasn't her specialty but she knew the basics and good use a few spells. Skyrim might be pretty anti-magic in a lot of areas but only the truly stupid turned their nose up at healing magic.

"You are quite the quick learner Elderin, this is a perfect healing spell. Just remember this is a basic spell, it won't do a lot for major injuries that can kill quickly."

"Thank you for the lesson." I look down at my glowing hand, this was a spell I learned. One that I worked for, not had handed to me. It's a nice feeling.

That sounds like it will be useful later on but for the moment I just need to focus on making sure we head in the right direction.

Hours later we reach the outskirts of the hold, farms around us but no one is present. That sets off a alarm bell inside my skull, the sun may be starting to set but there would still be work to be done. Shadeheart can also tell something is wrong but we don't get to question it when a shout reaches us, one I recognize.

"Shit, a giant came. Must have gotten kicked out of its tribe or decided it could handle it." Shadeheart's look at me in shock even as she follows me towards the ever growing sounds of the giant.

"Those are real?! And they live near here."

"Yeah, one's bad enough but a tribe you'll either need some really skilled people or or a large chunk of troops whose loss you can accept. Normally they keep their distance after the examples made of their kin that picked a fight but there is always one stupid or brave enough."

"So they are easily handled."

"Whiterun's gotten good at it but it can go poorly very quickly. Come on I want to see whats happening." What was happening was the Companions were on the job. Five of them surrounded the Giant, picking away at it whenever it turned away from one of them. Before I would have been content to watch but now I had the ability to help, the question was how or if I should.

-x-X-x-

"No." I look at Shadeheart and she is staring at me with a knowing look. "I have seen that look in too many people's eyes. You are not going to go charge that thing, you have tremendous potential but you are not going to get to put it to use charging at that thing." I want to argue, those are the companions after all and impressing them would be a boyhood dream come true but the fact is Shadeheart is right. I have some abilities but no real skill yet. I could perhaps use Call of Thunder but the way their all moving around, I might have hit one of them instead.

"You're right, lets at least help any injured." The giant put up a fight, even the companions don't have it easy and as I watch them fight I realize with absolute certainty I would die if I ran in. Still we're close enough to be able to help when something goes wrong. The redheaded archer gets grabbed and tossed our way, that I'm able to help with, a quick breath of air and I'm moving towards her falling form. It isn't a graceful catch, but her head doesn't slam into the ground like it was looked like it was going to. I even manage to not fall on my ass as I stumble back.

"Anything broken?" The woman looks up at me as I set her down, I think her name is Aela. In the background, the Giant lets out a dying roar as a hammer breaks it's leg and allows another to slit its throat.

"No, although my ribs feel cracked. Thank you for the catch. Given you were just watching I figured you for a milk drinker unwilling to do anything." I grimace at that but hold my hand up, letting the healing spell rise.

"Not really much of a fighter yet, my traveling companion knocked some sense into me before I could go out and have the giant to knock my head off." I push the spell into her and she breathes a sigh of relief as the spell does it's work.

"I suppose I shouldn't blame you, we lose a lot of whelps in the companions that face something they can't hope to overcome. Besides I can tell you have some potential, this is a fine healing spell. When did you learn it."

"This morning." She looks up at me in shock while Shadeheart walks over to us.

"He tells the truth, and given he survived a dragon I think he'll do much more in the future."

"Shit, those rumors were true. We heard one had been sighted but quite frankly I thought weak-livered fool had too much to drink and that the Jarl was overeactting by locking the hold down.." I shake my head at that.

"No it was very much real, fire breathing and snatching people into ths sky included. Helgen is ashes and people in Riverwood asked us to deliver a request for aid." Aela stands up, testing how everything is feeling before looking at me with a small smile.

.

-------------->

.

"Well let me pay you back, we'll make sure you get inside. We were only allowed out because the Giant had been spotted. Come along and if you ever wish to join the Companions once you get your skills up I'll be looking forward to seeing what you can do. Ah, I'm Aela by the way. Come and let me introduce you to the others." Her piece said Aela turns and walks back to her fellow companions.

This could have ended very poorly because I made such a stupid decision but at least some good came out it.

-x-X-x-

The companions are easily able to get us in the gate; something I'm grateful for because I recognize the guard outside the gate and he is a complete mammoth's ass who would happily have forced us to stay outside if we hadn't been backed by the companions.

"I hope to see you at the hall one day, until then may your blade stay sharp and your spirits strong." Saying our goodbyes to Aela and the companions the two of us look at the sinking sun, already half swallowed by the horizon.

"You are the native, shall we try and see the Jarl tonight or wait till morning?"

"You act like I was a common visitor in Dragonsreach, the family farm is about a day's journey northwest of here and we were farmers. I think my father talked to Proventus, the steward, once or twice but that it. Still Jarl Balgruuf is known to be fair and a good leader."

-x-X-x-

"The guard wouldn't be sent out this late, I know that much. We should she about getting some lodgings for the night and then first thing in the morning deliver the letter, that might see the troops there by the day's end." Shadeheart nods, following me as I lead her toward the Bannered Mare.

"Agreed, you speak highly of this Balgruuf but my experience with politicians and nobles is they love to make you pay for the slightest slight."

"I don't doubt it, wait till you meet Nazeem. There's a pot for when someone snaps and wrings his neck."

"Hmm, you'd be surprised how common that is. Now one question, how shall we pay for our lodgings." Ahh, that is a good question. I have that bag of gold from the gacha but it's not like I have a good explanation for how I have it in the first place. I may have to tell Shadeheart about this whole thing, because otherwise I'm not sure how we can pay for lodgings tonight.

-x-X-x-

"I can take care of it, please just hold your questions until tonight and when we're alone I'll answer them. I'd rather no-one else overhear me.

"Very well, I shall trust you Elderin but know I will see my curiosity quenched tonight." Nodding in response I look around, at this time the streets are empty aside from a few patrolling guards and they ignore us for the most part aside from some curious glances. Another thing to do tomorrow, see about getting some new armor that isn't from the Imperial Legion.

Still as no one is watching I let the pouch form in my hand and tip twenty-five gold pieces into my hand, somehow I can tell the pouch has exactly 1975 pieces left, showing that the pouch has no limit except for a thousand gold per day. They're not Septims even if the shape is similar but that isn't a deal-breaker; gold is gold and I know Hulda trades for room and board if the offer is worth it. Shadeheart gets closer as I let the pouch vanish back to where-ever it stays when not in use and whispers into my ear.

"I shall have many questions indeed but for now answer just one, how much do you have."

"The pouch produces a thousand pieces every day so at the moment 2000 total. Tomorrow after we deliver the letter we'll take care of necessities and anything else we need. If anyone asks we killed some bandits on the way here."

"Is that believable?"

"The war's seen banditry skyrocket thanks to both deserters and those who hear about the war and see easy pickings with troops being directed else where. I'm honestly amazed we didn't actually run into any on the way here. Ahh, and here we are." Opening the door for Shadeheart we enter, the smell of food and alcohol mixing with the music of the bard for a pleasant atmosphere. Walking over to the bar where Hulda watched over her tavern I greeted her.

"Hulda, it's a pleasure as always."

"Oh, it's … Elderin right, Spellbane farm up north?"

"Aye, I've recently parted from them though. It wasn't a life I wanted to stick with."

"Hah, you can be honest young man. You made the right call getting out given you had no prospects that didn't depend upon your brother's good will. Now I assume you'll be wanting food, drink, and a warm bed, or will that be two beds?" Shadeheart leans over my shoulder, nuzzling her face against my neck while I can practically feel the smile on her face.

"We need only one room." Hulda's shit eating grin practically makes the room brighten as she laughs.

"All right, you have coin?" I place ten of the pieces out on the bar.

"I have this, I'd have tried selling it before coming but it was getting late and well…"

"Belathor is enough of a pain in the neck when he isn't trying to close the shop for the night. Fair enough, I think these ten can cover your dinner and a room for the night."

"Thank you Hulda, just take a seat?"

"Aye, Saadia will bring you your plates when their ready. Have a seat wherever you can." Nodding at her once more Shadeheart and I take a seat in the corner, Shadeheart picking it out and specifically taking the seat that left her back to the wall while allowing her to see most of the room. It wasn't long before plates of beef, bread, cheese, and a bowl of potato-leek soup for each of us are brought over by Saadia and we dig in.

-x-X-x-

"Mikeal I told you I'm not interested. Now go back to playing music and leave me be." Shadeheart and my own attention are drawn the bard on his break, it seems he's infatuated with Carlotta. I can't rightly blame him for that but given the expresion on her face his advances are less then welcome.

.

---------------->

.

"Oh Carlotta, truly your jests hurt. Hasn't it been long enough, surly I could help fill that hole in your life." He leans closer, arm making to go around her and I stand up. Walking over and grabbing his arm right after he places it around her shoulder, saying something truly vile about her bed, I yank him off and push him away.

"Hey, what do you think you're doing. I was here first and I was this close to showing Carlotta how good I'd be for her." I had never had the displeasure of meeting this man before but Carlotta was a good woman who always dealt fairly with my family. I don't intend to let him get away with harassing her.

-x-X-x-

Dispair Aura leaks off me as I glare at the bard, his face paling and his eyes widening as I take a step towards him. He starts to move back but I lash out and grab his collar, pulling him closer as I speak.

"You're going to leave Carlotta alone going forward. The Divines know she can do far better then you and she's been kind enough not to slug you so far. But if you continue to bug her I'll find out just how many teeth it takes before you can't sing anymore and if that doesn't work I'll just feed you your instrument in one pice sideways. Understand!"

"Of course, there is no need to make threats good sir. In fact I think it's time I get back to work." Hulda's voice booms throughout the tavern.

"This is you're only warning from me as well, keep harassing my customers and you go out the front door head first."

"Yes Madam." Scrambling away I make to rejoin Shadeheart who's eyeing me up with glee only to be stopped by Carlotta.

"Thanks for the help Elderin, I know I should have slugged him one but I don't want to deal with the guards. Most of them are good guys but I'd probably have to spend some time explaining it and with the stall and my daughter it's just not worth it."

"Of course, you've always been a good business partner with my family and I've always been impressed by how hard you've worked. You shouldn't have to put up with that kind of stuff, please let me know if he tries to start up again."

"I think I'll take you up on the offer, now I'll leave you to your lady friend while I go get Mila tucked in for the night. It's good to see you back in Whiterun, hopefully we'll see more of you around." Before I can respond Carlotta pecks me on the cheek and heads out the door, hips swinging as they always seem to. There is a reason she was my boyhood crush and that was before motherhood was so kind to her. Sitting back down Shadeheart can clearly tell what I was focused on.

"She was a beautiful woman, quite popular it seems."

"Yes I had a crush on her a few years ago, no I don't think anything is going to happen." Shadeheart smirks, leaning forward to show off her cleavage.

"Well I certainly can't blame you for desiring that woman but I think I have your attention more, correct." I roll my eyes, she acts just like that old cat we had once that was alway's desperate to pull your attention away from other creatures and to herself. Still its time to give her some answers.

Well those are something. At least one's a good demonstration that won't bring down the inn or rouse the guards. Leaving our empty dishes behind Shadeheart and I head upstairs, fighting down a blush at the sound of several patrons whistling.

-x-X-x-

"There, unless a great mage tries we won't be listened in on." At somepoint I'm really going to have to question how Shadeheart learned all she's presented so far, this latest spell apparently a stationary version of one known as Muffle.

"Wait, couldn't you have used this in Riverwood." A smirk is my answer for that one.

"Right, well it started right as you were being dragged to the chopping block…" I explain what I knew, the 'gacha' and how it claimed to be something other then one of the nine or a deadric prince as well as all I had gotten before now.

"I see, my understanding is none of the princes would ever deny their identities out of pride, the nine would be far more clear about this, and no random deadra would have the power for this. Mmh, I suppose this is the work of either one unknown to people before now or something from beyond what we know of." I blink at that, the level of understanding in her voice.

"How do you know that much about the subject?"

"A mix of studying and practical experience." There has to be more to it then that, between her magic, weapon skills, and now this knowledge I can't believe she doesn't have a past.

-x-X-x-

There is clearly more to it, Shadeheart has a look in her eye that tells me she can see the question in my mind but I don't ask it. It's probably best to let her tell me at her own pace. Given I owe her not having several scars and her promise to teach me magic this is the least I could do; Shadeheart breaks the stalemate as she begins stripping off her clothes.

"Now then, I believe you owe me for not just a lesson but for your lies. A massage first and then you can show off your new skills." Naked in a flash Shadeheart is laying face down on the bed, tail lifted to show of her ass as she stretches.

.

-------------------->

.

"My this is wonderful bedding, I can see why this place has no competition. Hurry up dear Elderin, it's not polite to keep a lady waiting." I swallow the response on the tip of my tongue and instead move to massage her, if she's going to show it off I know what I'm starting with.

The moan she releases as I begin massaging her cheeks tells me I made the right call.

-x-X-x-

"FUCK!!!!" Shadeheart's scream fills the room as I plow into her, pushing her face against the bed as I lift her tail with the other hand and plow into her from behind, we're into hour two or so of our bout of lust.

"You decided to tease me, you should have known the cost." Letting her head go I use that hand to spank her, causing her to clutch the sheets tighter as her ass jiggles. Liking the sight I continue to do it further, drawing more screams and cries for more out of her, continuing to fuck her and put my new skills to work as they guide me in hitting the best spots inside of her.

"HERE IT COMES!" Letting her tail go and grabbing her horns I pull her body off the bed and bend her back, taking in the sight of her eyes rolling back as I release another load inside of her. Shadeheart goes limp, collapsing forward and moaning softly as she comes off her last orgasm.

-x-X-x-

"Come on, don't hog the bed." Shadeheart is a terrible bedmate at times like this, I've only shared with her twice but she hogs the center like Nazeem hogs his gold.

"You shouldn't have fucked all the feeling out of my legs, I would be able to move it I did." Huffing at her response I move her over slightly and take my share of the bed.

"You're a greedy thing aren't you?"

"I can indulge how I wish now, I expect you to continue sating me going forward."

I take a minute to let that soak in, both the reason and the result, before deciding I will sort it out in the morning. For now I'm just going to cuddle the argonian in my arms and get some sleep before we have to get up to Dragonsreach tomorrow.

-x-X-x-

"I see no problem with this, you shall claim a large stable of mates and ensure you have many offspring." Of all the outcomes that was not what I expected Shadeheart's response to Harem King to be, seeing my confusion she stops getting dressed and further explains.

"Argonian's have practiced such things before in darker times, it is remembered neutrally. It was put in place during a time of reduced numbers, the strongest of our kind told to breed as much as possible. Given your potential I have no doubt you can accomplish such a thing. Besides this means you can have that lovely thing from last night and me with no problems." Right, dropping this for now. Looking over Shadeheart I note we're still in the imperial armor and decide something has to change quickly before our meeting.

"First we head to Adrianne's and get some new gear that doesn't put targets on our back form the Gray-mane's and anyone else that hates the imperials."

"Ahh, wise decision. I was worried about that being a possiblity. How much support do the Stormcloaks have here?"

"I'd put it at a 60-40 split, not in there favor but that's been shifting as the Thalmor have been getting more active."

"Those sacks of arrogant shit would push people to the Stormcloaks banner." If there was ever a reason it would be that, the Empire's biggest issue with skyrim was right now was the fact they outlawed Talos worship and let the Thalmor run around. The Stormcloaks didn't help the issue but it didn't stop people from pointing fingers at the ones letting them in.

-x-X-x-

Adrianne was able to outfit us in leather armor with some metal bits for me while Shadeheart was able to get her preferred style. Taking our imperial armor in trade and two hundred gold, not the worst cost when we had over three thousand avalable, the coins were good enough for most people it seemed and for that I was thankful.

.

---------->

.

"Tell me do you know your way around the court?" I give Shadeheart a side eye at that.

"I have manners! And I know how to greet the Jarl at least, beyond that all we're doing is delivering a letter." Stepping into dragon's reach we find the Jarl holding court, Irelith his faithful bodyguard and aid marching forward to meet us.

.

------------>

.

"No one may see the Jarl yet, what brings you here?"

"We have a letter from Gerdur of Riverwood for the Jarl, it's in regards to the recent events." Irileth stares us down and for a brief second I imagine a slight blush on her face before it's gone.

"You were the ones the companions got in weren't you. Why are you only arriving now?" Shadeheart speaks up at that.

"We knew you wouldn't send troops in the dark and when we arrived we doubted we'd be allowed access if the gate was any indication. We felt it was better to spend the night at the inn and arrive early." Irileth looks us over and then nods.

"Yes, I heard what occurred there last night. Thank you for putting that bard in his place, Carlotta is a good woman." I nod at that, noting that the news reached her ears so quickly.

"Been a wonderful business partner for my family and deserves to be left alone."

"Your family?"

"Spellbane mam, farm northwest of here."

"Right, they're one of the more productive ones if I remember. Right come and pass this letter to the Jarl but mind your manners."

-x-X-x-

Jarl Balgruuf's presence is instense, there's a reason he's so beloved and trusted and the way he feels so … large even just reading a letter is clearly one reason for it.

"Irileth, I want a squad sent to Riverwood. Make sure they understand I don't expect them to fight a dragon if it shows up but they are to focus on evacuation."

"My lord?" Balgruufs eyes are on me and Shadeheart, both of us tensing as he focuses on it.

"You were both at Helgen according to Gerdur, burnt to the ground apparently?" Shadeheart is content to let me take the lead here and so I do it.

"Yes my Jarl, we were there when the Dragon arrived and turned Helgen into a ruin. It was powerful and cruel, capable of wreaking buildings with ease as it toyed with the Imperials there."

"Cruel you say?" Shadeheart speaks up here.

"It threw flames around without care, happy to leave men screaming as they clutched blackened limbs, it grabbed men and took to sky to let gravity finish them off when it could have easily crushed them and been done with it. It saw that as a game and it enjoyed drawing it out."

"I see, Proventus see to it the guard is increased and put on alert. Irileth have scouting parties prepared to check any nearby spots that it may use to rest. You two what are your names?"

"Elderin Spellbane my Jarl."

"Shadeheart, Jarl Balgruuf. No family name."

"I see, and would you two have been prisoners set to be executed when this occurred." That isn't a question, fuck this went south. I ready Call Thunder and prepare for things to go south while Shadeheart starts taking in the room. Her hands twitching but not going for her weapons even as her voice becomes icy.

"If by prisoners you mean people grabbed for no reason other then being near a battle. The imperials thought we were Stormcloaks, I'm sure they would love one of my kind among their number."

"Ahh, so what you're telling me is a citizen of my hold was to be executed for no reason other then being in the wrong place. I shall make certain the General is aware of my displeasure at such a thing."

"My Jarl?"

"Peace young Spellbane, your family grows a considerable amount of produce so I certainly remember the name. You both should have never been placed in this situation and I shall make sure that Tulius knows what shall happen if he thinks he can execute my citizens without trial or reason. Now I have things to discuss and plans to make, when there is time I shall see a suitable reward be granted for this." Taking the unspoken order to leave we make our way to the exit, Proventus stopping us on the way and passing a small purse of gold over.

"I'll make sure the Jarl knows you've been compensated. Thank you for your service but I must get back to him before the rest get him in a battlefrenzy."

"I must say, that went quite well. I see why this Jarl has your respect. Now Elderin what should we do now?"
