Chapter 39 - Volume 2 - Chapter 9 (Compensation Chapter)

My Twin Sugar Mommies and Two Systems are 100 Years Late! Volume 2 – Chapter 9.

"R-Retrieve my Indenture Contract?" Dou E repeated those words slowly, her tone ripe with doubt.

"Mm-hmm," Yan Anle nodded. "It's about time."

"Young Master… why?" Dou E asked, her voice growing lower with each word. "Do you want to 'let me go'?"

Yan Anle flicked her forehead with a finger. "Always overthinking. What are you imagining again?"

However, this time, things did not play out as jovially as before.

"Ah!" Dou E staggered backward, clutching her head with a pained expression.

Yan Anle's raised hand remained frozen mid-air, and his expression shifted to shock, then concern. He approached her, his steps both hurried and cautious.

"Dou E, are you alright!?"

[Immortal Clan] told him, [Master, you need to take some time to learn how to control your newly acquired strength and other aspects—such as your Divine Sense and the application of your combat technique.]

[Myriad Worlds] topped up, [Not only that. Combat experience is also paramount. I would have recommended purchasing an Array Plate that generates illusory combat opponents, but the current you can't afford the cheapest one.]

[Master, don't think about taking out another loan. The interest-free one for creating the Mobile Secret Realm was a one-time thing.]

I will keep your words in mind. He internalized their advice.

[Myriad Worlds] added in a cheeky tone, [If you want to take out another loan, the interest rate will be 30% every day.]

"…" Yan Anle was stunned speechless, and his footsteps halted.

He cussed mentally, thinking, 30% daily increment… Even terrorists don't play that big. This isn't just black-hearted! It's black-souled!

[Myriad Worlds] finally pulled the trigger, [Failure to repay the loan within the stipulated time will lead to heavy penalties. At best, you would lose a few minor realms of your cultivation base. Worst case, I will be forced to unbind from you.]

"Young Master, you... what realm have you reached?"

Dou E did not sound angry or pained. Instead, she spoke with curiosity and even… excitement?

"I didn't mean to hurt you. I have yet to gain full mastery over my suddenly acquired power," Yan Anle first apologized. Then he told her, "As for the realm I've attained… It's more than enough for you to get your revenge on that Manager Pei and—what's her name again? Ji something."

"Ji Yuanlan," Dou E reminded him.

"Right. Her." He nodded. "Anyway, are you alright?"

"Yes, I'm fine! Just a few minor injuries. Nothing a little bit of meditation won't solve."

"Young Master, you still haven't told me—what realm have you reached?" She backtracked. "That force just now is far above mine. As expected of an Immortal, able to raise your cultivation to such a level in such a short period of time. His means are as expected; simply extraordinary!"

Yan Anle smiled, relieved, and confessed, "Master said my current strength is at the Fifth Level of the Viscera Forging Realm."

"Viscera Forging?"

It only took Dou E a moment to retrieve the Body Cultivation Realms from her memory.

Her eyes lit up, "So, Young Master's current strength is comparable to Mid-stage Core Formation!?"

"Mm-hmm." Yan Anle's smile deepened. He was just as happy as she was, if not more.

"Now, all I have to do is master my own strength and we can roam the cultivation world with some assurance," he told her. "No need to continue remaining cooped up in that small courtyard. And to do that, we must first retrieve your Indenture Contract."

"Indeed. Young Master's words make sense," Dou E agreed.

"Alright, little girl, go on and distribute those items."

"Remember, also tell Pan Ting not to let anything slip when we go back. The reason why that Sun Ziyun approached us remains unclear. Although I currently possess some strength, caution is king."

"Yes, Young Master," Dou E chirped, a spring in her step as she turned around and headed for the stairs.

Her mood was so good an onlooker would wonder whether Yan Anle was the one who broke through the third Major Realm or she was.

Watching her retreating figure, he muttered, "The fact that I am still alive will soon reach my parents' ears—if it hasn't already. After we retrieve her Indenture Contract, we should leave the clan."

Then, he turned his attention back to the systems.

"Myriad Worlds, when I'm upgrading the Mobile Secret Realm to allow Core Formation figures in, can you add a Training Room?"

He sighed.

"You really went and prioritized the Alchemy and Forging rooms instead. Whether I have talent in those occupations is yet to be seen."

[Myriad Worlds]: [Host, don't you remember what we promised you when we bound to you? As Imperial-grade Systems, as long as you spend points, even so-called 'Talent' can be purchased.]

[As for the matter of a Training Room, I did not see the need to prepare a specialized one since this whole building was meant to be an auction house in the first place.]

[However, if you are eager to work up a sweat and immerse yourself in the Fist Technique you bought, you can do it right here in your bedroom.]

[From the floorboards and walls to the mugs and furniture—everything in the current Prosperity Abode was built to withstand power comparable to the Peak of the Core Formation Realm.]

[As you continue to upgrade the Mobile Secret Realm, this sturdiness will be elevated in kind. It will continue to be one major realm above the limit.]

Yan Anle wore an annoyed expression, but the upward curve of his lips remained. "You black-hearted system, why didn't you just say that earlier? Why bring up that Array Plate?"

"Tsk, truly a Bandit System. When I have enough points in the future, who knows how much you will fleece from me. I'll be like a sheep you can shear wool off all day long, every day, right?"

At the same time, a figure approached the Righteous Flame Dynasty.

They were not riding any Spirit Boats or flying artifacts, but their speed was equally immense.

When they crossed the northern border of the Dynasty, they paused above a city.

This person—who looked exactly like Sun Ziyun but was hornless, had a preference for red-colored robes, and had a regal demeanor that contrasted her younger sister's playful one—was none other than Sun Ruoyun.

The contemporary Burning Mountain Demon Empress.

After dealing with those scoundrels from the human race that had teamed up with traitors from her camp to ambush her, she urged a subordinate to spread the news about her being injured.

She trusted that particular subordinate because they carried her Soul Imprint in their Sea of Consciousness.

A thought from her was more than sufficient to end them, and she could vaguely sense their moods and feelings towards her.

Distance was not an issue as long as there was no special interference with the Soul Imprint.

She pulled out her Spirit Communication Mirror and poured her Spiritual Qi into it. Soon, a black-haired version of herself appeared in it.

Sun Ziyun was the first of the twins to speak, "Elder Sister, you're free now? How are things on that side?"

"Mm, it's already settled." Sun Ruoyun nodded lightly. "I have just arrived in the Righteous Flame Dynasty. Can you give me precise coordinates?"

"Hold on a moment." Sun Ziyun looked away from the mirror. "I'll send over the coordinates now."

As the two sisters chatted, Yan Lingrong and Zhaozhao, who had mostly recovered, looked over to see the 'Senior' holding a mirror. Her lips were moving but they could not hear anything.

The Young Miss and her maid made eye contact but did not dare to gossip. They could already guess that a barrier had been put in place at some point.

The former glanced at the Senior again, or more specifically, at the mirror she held.

That was most likely a Spirit Communication Mirror—a treasure she had only heard and read of. The method for forging them was counted among lost knowledge.

She did not know of anyone in the Great Yan Clan who had one besides her grandfather, the current Patriarch. And it wasn't originally his, but a hand-me-down.

Once she thought of this, her wariness and awe of Sun Ziyun were elevated a few more levels.

She gulped and looked away.

After Sun Ruoyun received the coordinates from her sister and exchanged a few more words with her, she tucked away the Spirit Communication Mirror and resumed her journey.

At some point, she was flying over a mountain range when she overheard a conversation that made her pause.

"Haha! This time, the Great Yan Clan will surely have its foundation weakened by a great margin."

A man in white robes, whose hair was split into three parts, laughed heartily as he refilled his wine cup.

"When the Fourth Prince first proposed this scheme, I was blind and spoke out of turn. Please, accept my humble apology!"

"Prime Minister Bai is too serious." A youth—the one dubbed 'Fourth Prince'—picked up his own wine cup and clinked it with the Prime Minister's.

"Even I, who came up with this plan, did not have full confidence in its success. Who would have thought that that Twelfth Young Master Yan would try to do such a thing that offends both Heaven and Man to his fiancee?"

Besides the Prime Minister and Fourth Prince of the Righteous Flame Dynasty, there were two other people—one man and one woman.

Both sat cross-legged with their eyes closed. They were the Fourth Prince's Protectors.

The Fourth Prince, Qi Hongyu, who appeared to be almost thirty years of age, stroked his chin beard and glanced at them.

"I can't take all the credit. It was my two able followers who risked their lives to infiltrate that event and make the necessary moves. I'm still thinking of how to reward them."

"For now, I am waiting to see how this all plays out before deciding how massive this fallout between the Sword River Sect and the Great Yan Clan will be. The greater the impact, the better the benefits I can request from Royal Father when this is over."

The Prime Minister gulped down the wine and voiced his agreement, "Their merits are indeed as heavy as a mountain. Suppressing one's cultivation base to sneak into a Secret Realm—if anything went wrong, they would have perished in soul and body."

"Anyways, let's continue to watch the good show. Any day now, the clash will begin." The Fourth Prince chuckled. "When that time comes, this Prince might even get the chance to fish in troubled waters."

Prime Minister Bai: "Heaven bless the Righteous Flame Dynasty!"

Fourth Prince Qi Hongyu: "May its prestige reign as long as the Sun, Moon, and Stars!"

Sun Ruoyun's eyes narrowed slightly and she watched them for a minute more before resuming her journey, muttering something under her breath.
