Chapter 17 - Seventeen

My Twin Sugar Mommies and Two Systems are 100 Years Late! Chapter 17

The systems' Beginner Gift Boxes contained a significant assortment of rewards, Spirit Stones included. Precisely, he had 10,000 low-grade and 30 mid-grade Spirit Stones in his inventory. Usually, an unused mid-grade Spirit Stone could be traded for 100 low-grade ones. Thus, he had a net worth equivalent to 13,000 low-grade Spirit Stones.

Amongst those who had yet to form their Core, he could beat his chest and proudly wear a name tag with the words "low-key tycoon" inscribed on it. As for how to explain it to Dou E? Naturally, a certain illusory "Business Immortal" had to carry the blame for this.

Still, while Dou E was fine regarding their financial situation—in fact, she could not be more ecstatic—there was a part of the situation that felt like a fishbone in her throat.

"Young Master," she called out just as he approached the second floor's entrance, her tone hesitant.

"Hmm?" Yan Anle glanced back at her. "What's wrong, Dou E?"

"Young Master, how do you intend to amass such an expenditure record in such a short time?" The loyal maid pursed her lips momentarily before spitting out her question. "Surely, you are not going to order tens of courtesans simultaneously, are you?"

Yan Anle's expression turned strange, and he blinked several times in a single second. "Damn, little girl! What kind of nonsense are you imagining?"

'How didn't I notice before that her mind was so rich in imagination?' He really wanted to bring his fist down onto her head, but in the end, he restrained himself and told her to just silently follow him in.

His gaze wandered the second floor and quickly rested upon an unoccupied table, which he led Dou E over to. Once seated, the nearest lady hastened over. "Welcome, dear guests. Do you have any requests?"

Dou E's expression soured slightly as she noticed the lady bending over subtly to reveal her cleavage. Yan Anle also noticed this but restrained himself, his eyes fixed on the lady's face.

"I am interested in wine," he told her. "Why don't you bring over the best I can get on this floor? One jar of each."

"Ah? Dear guest, are you sure?" A look of surprise flashed across the woman's face, though it disappeared shortly after as she explained. "The wines we serve on this floor are all Spirit Wines; ordinary ones can only be found down on the first floor. The cheapest one here goes for seven hundred coins a jar, and that is only because it has been heavily diluted. An undiluted jar would go for three low-grade Spirit Stones. As for the best-rated ones… those start at about eight low-grade Spirit Stones a jar and go up to thirteen, I think. Dear guest, do you still want to try them all?"

The 'coins' there naturally referred to Gold Coins commonly used for mortal transactions. Generally, most businesses took one Low-grade Spirit Stone to be equivalent to 1,000 Gold Coins.

In essence, the cheapest Spirit Wine this establishment had to offer was worth more than half a Low-grade Spirit Stone per jar.

Yan Anle went silent after hearing this as he performed some mental calculations. 'If I procure twenty jars of wine worth ten Spirit Stones each, doesn't that solve the issue directly?'

'Spirit Wines cost that much?' Dou E was in a bit of a daze, 'The cheapest legit Cultivation Techniques go for about forty or fifty Spirit Stones a manual. Just drinking five or six jars of wine here can buy one! Should I start saving up to learn and invest in Wine Making?'

'What is he hesitating for? He couldn't have heard the prices and been scared away, right? Did I score a big spender or not?' Seeing him like this, the lady could not help but feel like every second was a century. 'Think positively, Pan Ting. Think positively. Today, it's finally your turn to secure a big spender!'

Unaware of her silent prayers, Yan Anle calmly relayed his decision to her. "Yes. One of each that costs up to ten Spirit Stones, please."

Hearing this, Pan Ting's smile widened noticeably. "Would that be all, dear guest? Drinking Spirit Wine alone is not as good as having some Demonic Beast meat with it."

Yan Anle was about to turn down her offer, but catching Dou E in his peripheral vision, he gave in and placed an order for a few Demonic Beast meat dishes. Of course, he specifically requested that three out of ten of them be fish-type dishes. Things that swam in the sea were his favorite part of mealtimes.

How many decades had it been since he had a Spiritual Fish meal? He likely had not had any since his parents stopped welcoming him to the dining table.

"Fish-type? No problem!" Pan Ting could hardly restrain her excitement as she skipped away with a spring in her step. "Wait a moment, dear guest. I'll be right back!"

Yan Anle could not help but be a bit puzzled by her excitement. As a courtesan here, what did the sales of wine and meat have to do with her?

'It's not like she gets a share of the money I spend on the order, right?' He guessed. 'Hmm, wait—that is not impossible.'

Meanwhile, Dou E spoke up. "Young Master, why did you order so much food? The wine we can take with us and store for a long time. But the food—even if we pack it up and take it with us—it would spoil before we got around to finishing it."

Yan Anle smiled, shaking his head. "Who said we don't have the means to store Spiritual Food for an extended period of time?"

While the transmigrator and his green-clad maid chatted, a certain silver-haired one-horned figure silently appeared nearby.

"Your Highness," the stalkers greeted her in unison.

Sun Ziyun did not respond immediately but stared at Yan Anle and Dou E instead.

Despite being so blatantly ignored, Yuruo and Bingruo showed no grievance. In fact, they had none.

The black-clad Demon Princess stroked her chin as she walked around the table, observing the transmigrator-maid duo keenly. Shortly, she nodded her head and said, "The resemblance is indeed uncanny."

At this point, Yuruo finally dared to probe, "Your Highness, did Her Majesty say anything to confirm that he is indeed the one we seek?"

"Big Sister is not sure. We can only wait until he establishes his foundation and see." Sun Ziyun clasped her hands behind her neck as she turned to them, "But, I personally believe he should be the one."

Bingruo had doubts, "But, Your Majesty, he has not even stepped on the path of cultivation at this point. By the time he Establishes his Foundation, how many years would have passed us by?"

"You only see that he has yet to start cultivating but you probably haven't noticed the strangeness of the laws around him, have you?" Princess Ziyun chuckled.

"Laws?" Bingruo and Yuruo could not deduce what she was hinting at.

"I may not have stepped into Void Refining yet, but I am infinitely close." Sun Ziyun explained, "As such, I can already perceive the Heavenly Laws that only Void Refining big shots can, albeit only vaguely. Although I can't detect any Special Physique or Spirit Roots from him, the excited state of the Laws in the Void are proof that there must be something extraordinary about him."

Bingruo and Yuruo shared a look and could see that the other's pupils had shrunk slightly.

Laws!

What were those?

Those were manifestation of the authority and intent of the Heavenly Dao!

They could only be perceived and barely comprehended by Void Refining experts.

How could such a profound thing be clamoring for an existence that had yet to step on the path of cultivation?

What kind of existence would this fellow become once he stepped on the path of cultivation?

As expected, Her Majesty would never trick us! This fellow must truly be our hope!
