Near the far end of the hall, Mo Han had just arrived. His usual confidence felt… thinner tonight. His eyes searched.
Found her.
Ji Eun.
And something in his chest tightened. He started toward her. But he stopped.
Because he saw who stepped forward at the same time.

The air shifted as Hyun Woo walked toward Ji Eun. Each step measured.
Unhurried.
Certain.
People instinctively made way. Two forces colliding. And everyone knew it.
Hyun Woo stopped in front of her. For a moment, they said nothing. The music played softly in the background. But for them, it might as well have been silence.
"You look beautiful," he said quietly.
Ji Eun's lips curved slightly.
Not in gratitude.
In challenge.
"You look predictable," she replied.
A faint chuckle escaped him.
Then...
Without warning, Ji Eun stepped forward. Close enough that only he could hear her next words.
"Let's end this tonight."
His gaze sharpened slightly.
"Oh?" he murmured.
She stepped back.
Turned.
And walked, straight toward the center of the hall.
