Meanwhile… Mo Han's Office
Mo Han stood by the floor-to-ceiling windows of his office, his phone in his hand, a rare, genuine smile on his face.
Ji Eun was coming to see him.
Today, everything would finally be clear.
He had already cleared his schedule. Even the celebration at Glam Club had been postponed. Nothing was more important than this.
Just as he was about to call his assistant to prepare for Ji Eun's arrival, there was a knock on the door.
"Come in."
His assistant entered, looking slightly unsettled.
"Young Master… there's been a sudden development regarding the Next Group deal."
Mo Han frowned, turning fully.
"What development?"
Before the assistant could answer, another man entered, one of the senior executives responsible for the partnership.
His expression was grave.
"Mr. Mo… the deal has been frozen."
Mo Han's expression hardened instantly.
"…What?"
"The official reason given is 'pending executive review,'" the man continued carefully. "But… it came directly from the top."
From the top.
There was only one person that could mean.
Park Hyun Woo.
Mo Han's grip tightened around his phone.
"That's impossible," he said sharply. "We finalized everything. The contracts were signed."
The executive lowered his gaze slightly.
"Yes… but Next Group has the authority to halt implementation before execution. And from what we've gathered…" he hesitated briefly, "…the CEO himself gave the order."
Silence filled the office.
Mo Han felt something cold settle in his chest.
This wasn't business.
This was deliberate.
"Why?" he demanded.
No one answered.
Because there was no explanation.
Only power.
