Upon hearing Ying Zheng's words, Xuanzang's face remained calm, but his eyes shone with resolute determination without a hint of hesitation. He immediately clasped his hands together and replied in a voice as loud as a bell, "For the westward journey of the Great Qin Buddhism, to relieve the suffering of all beings, I would die without regret."
"If it fails in one lifetime, then I'll try in the second."
"If it fails in the second, then the third."
"Until the Great Qin Buddhism is brought westward."
Each word from Xuanzang was sonorous, as if containing the force of thousands of pounds, echoing within the Heavenly Palace where only he and Ying Zheng were present, demonstrating his determination.
"Good."
Ying Zheng nodded slightly, his eyes reflecting a hint of appreciation, and said no more. The slight curve of his lips seemed to silently convey his approval of Xuanzang's firm resolve.
Just then!
"Xuanzang's heart has never changed through each of his lifetimes."
