Liyana suddenly said with a teasing giggle as she leaned closer to me.
"Hehe, why the long look, Darling~?"
"...You just surprised me."
"Fufu~ You had the same reaction when I teased you about having babies last time, too. Hmm, could it be that you don't want to have some with me?"
She tilted her head, her crimson eyes gazing into mine with a mixture of curiosity and amusement.
Although her words sounded playful, there was something about the way she watched me that made it difficult to tell whether she was entirely joking or simply using humor to bring up something she genuinely wanted to discuss.
I let out a quiet sigh.
"You know that's not the case."
"Hehehe~"
Liyana's smile widened, seemingly satisfied with my answer.
"That's true. I know you wouldn't say something like that to me, Darling."
She settled back into her seat, though she remained close enough that our shoulders almost touched.
