Chapter 188 - Reverse

Ascension Square.

Enclosing its east, south, west, and north perimeters stood towering, towering Red Giant Walls rising ten thousand meters high, resembling pillars propping up the heavens.

Moreover, both the interior and exterior surfaces of these crimson barrier walls were heavily carved with coarse, primitive, yet profoundly archaic dragon and phoenix reliefs.

At a glance, they appeared both ancient and desolate.

Should any mortal happen to stand within the plaza and gaze outward, they would inevitably be awestruck by the distant Red Giant Walls, mistaking them for the literal edge of the vast world they inhabited.

Speaking of mortals.

Interestingly enough, within this Ascension Square spanning over a million miles across, traces of mortal existence genuinely thrived.

Furthermore, it wasn't merely a meager dozen or twenty individuals.

Instead, a population of several million mortals had coalesced into a sovereign kingdom, living and reproducing generation after generation tucked away in a tiny corner right against the red boundary wall.

This corner, spanning a thousand miles, had originally served thousands of years ago as the anchor point for a specific space-time boundary gate.

Unfortunately, the minor mortal realm linked to that gate had suffered a catastrophic invasion by an extra-dimensional void beast and was utterly destroyed.

Consequently, that boundary gate had been reduced to a useless waste.

Its installation site gradually emptied out, devolving into an insignificant stretch of wasteland.

Until eventually, the Grand Overseer governing the entire Ascension Square, Linen Sovereign, couldn't bear to see the land sit abandoned.

Thus, he purchased a large batch of human laborers from a miscellaneous marketplace within the Godforge Guild and dumped them into the wasteland.

Utilizing his arcane arts, he conjured mountains, excavated seas, planted forests, and cultivated flora, allowing them to evolve upward from a primitive tribal society step-by-step.

Ultimately, after thousands of years of history, they had blossomed into a mortal kingdom named the [Yeoa Kingdom], serving solely... to amuse him with tea and spectacles during his leisure hours.

It was essentially... a living bonsai potted plant.

Moreover, to render this bonsai even more "aesthetically pleasing."

Linen Sovereign would occasionally manipulate the meteorological phenomena to "trim" it, or shift the geological terrain to "sculpt" it.

Molding it step-by-step into the exact shape he desired.

Yet this mortal kingdom, which he viewed as a mere potted plant, had spent millennia breeding generations of citizens who firmly believed their little patch of earth was the sole Pure Land in existence.

Because they possessed zero awareness of Linen Sovereign's existence.

And Linen Sovereign had never once deigned to reveal himself before them.

Consequently, the mortals of the Yeoa Kingdom knew only that beyond their Pure Land, heading north led straight to the unreachable edge of the world (the Giant Wall).

To the south, west, and east.

Lay an endless, lifeless wasteland completely devoid of all living creatures and water sources (the Plaza).

Thus, driven by curiosity and a yearning for the unknown world beyond, the kingdom produced more than one brave soul who gathered climbing tools and launched a challenge to scale the edge of the world.

They hungered merely to gaze upon what lay beyond that boundary.

Inevitably, however, every last one of them failed.

Crashing to their deaths at the base of that sheer, ten-thousand-meter-tall giant wall.

Turning into piles upon piles of gruesome, shattered pulp.

Aside from these lone adventurers.

Within the Yeoa Kingdom, heroic warriors leading grand armies, heavily provisioned with water and rations atop mighty steeds, had once marched forth into that endless wasteland.

They longed to discover whether the outer wasteland possessed an edge of its own.

And whether other nations lay beyond that horizon.

Should they exist, they would conquer them.

Alas, those high-spirited, ambitious warriors failed all the same.

Because the Ascension Square, rife with over a million boundary gates and a year-round unstable space-time matrix, was hardly a place where mere mortals had any business wandering.

Lacking even the most rudimentary true energy, anyone wandering casually across the plaza would frequently stumble into random space-time labyrinth arrays of varying scales.

Ultimately exhausting their food and water, starving and dying of thirst within the mazes.

Thus, after countless failed attempts, the mortals of the Yeoa Kingdom reaffirmed their belief that their domain was the sole Pure Land in the world.

Under this mindset, the mortals gradually abandoned all exploration of the outside world, focusing solely on building their own civilization.

Yet they remained entirely oblivious.

That their civilization, spanning several millennia.

Including every poem, artwork, painting, literary creation, culture, script, and all the twists, turns, hardship, glory, and honor woven into their history.

In truth... served merely to entertain Linen Sovereign as he sipped his leisure tea after work, quietly appreciating the scenery beyond his wall.

When all was said and done, the Yeoa Kingdom existed merely as a toy he kept to pass the time and chase away boredom during a lifespan spanning hundreds of thousands of years.

Furthermore, mortal kingdoms existing purely as potted botanical landscapes like the Yeoa Kingdom numbered well over a million across the sprawling, boundless territory of the Godforge Guild.

Even within the private dwellings, courtyard walls, balconies, and medicinal herb fields of many high-tier Primordial Soul Sovereigns, one could find domesticated "potted" mortal kingdoms serving as aesthetic landscaping to elevate the refined tastes of those Primordial Soul cultivators.

Appreciated at a whim, toyed with at pleasure.

When grown weary of them, destroyed on a whim.

Or replaced with a brand new one.

No one cared, and no one paid attention.

Because within the grand, overarching Caelum-Arcanum universe, fragile mortals had never possessed human rights.

Moreover, aside from these "domesticated" mortal kingdoms.

Across the Godforge Guild's sprawling, tens-of-billions-of-miles territory, there existed a far greater number, ten or a hundred times over, of... "wild" mortal kingdoms.

Along the banks of any major river stretching trillions of miles across the vast plains surrounding the Godforge Guild's main architectural complex, or nestled deep within any mountain range spanning tens of millions of miles, countless "wild" mortal kingdoms of varying sizes flourished everywhere.

Unless these nations produced a promising cultivation prodigy who happened to be discovered by touring inspectors crossing mountains and seas specifically to conduct mass Spirit Root censuses.

Otherwise, their entire nation would eventually be "harvested" in periodic or irregular culls, reduced to raw ingredients for pill-refining, materials for artifact-forging, and general resources for cultivation.

...

Yet this security, which had persisted for thousands of years, came to an abrupt and absolute end today.

Because roughly 280,000 miles east of the Yeoa Kingdom, a somewhat archaic space-time boundary gate inexplicably... began flashing with intense, blinding radiance.

It was as though some terrifying leviathan was violently forcing its way through from the "other side."

HUM, HUM, HUM!

While the boundary gate vibrated and hummed relentlessly, two elite Qi Refiners streaked through the air, landing gracefully one after the other in its immediate vicinity.

The one standing at the front possessed a slender physique and a fair, handsome face.

Yet across his brow, above his nose and beneath his forehead, a pair of complex, compound-insect-like lenses were surgically embedded straight into his flesh and bone.

At a glance, the dense cluster of ocular facets looked bizarre and unsettling.

In truth, this "gadget" was a type of [Artifact-Core Mystic Implant] known as the [Heavenly Child Death God Eye].

This ocular implant granted the wearer a panoramic, three-dimensional field of vision far wider and a hundredfold sharper than their own native spiritual consciousness.

Moreover, the consumption of true energy and soul power required to operate it was far lower than deploying raw spiritual sense.

It was the ideal tool for cultivators tasked with patrol and inspection duties.

As for the term "Artifact-Core Mystic Implant," it essentially referred to... the cultivation-world equivalent of prosthetics or cybernetic plug-ins.

Such prosthetic Artifact-Core Mystic Implants enjoyed widespread popularity across every level of the Godforge Guild.

Due to their formidable efficacy and remarkably low resource consumption.

Only their price point ran somewhat steeper than standard magic treasures of the same tier.

A luxury completely unaffordable for impoverished paupers like Lady Serenitas.

"Senior Zephyr."

The compound-eyed cultivator tilted his head slightly, speaking with a hint of doubt. "If I recall correctly, this boundary gate was apparently used just half a day ago, wasn't it?"

At that moment, the cultivator standing behind him, known as Zephyr, slowly paced forward.

His stocky, hunched frame carried an oval jade mirror the size of a palm, held reverently in both hands as he stared intently at its surface.

Violent surges of spiritual consciousness rippled around the edges of the artifact.

"Hmm? What was that, Spinner... Ah, right."

Distracted by his task, the chubby cultivator replied off-handedly, "Seems a maintenance crew used this gate for a routine lower-realm inspection. I overheard High-Rank Renchiko mention it earlier."

Curiously, alongside his slightly parched voice, his entire body emitted a faint, incessant mechanical hum.

Up close, one could see two massive, jagged holes carved directly into either side of Zephyr's broad back.

Spinning furiously inside those pitch-black cavities were two sets of multi-layered, whirring turbine rotors.

Indeed, this was yet another Mystic Implant: the Wind-Thunder Twin Wings.

Once activated, these implants could propel Zephyr at speeds of several thousand miles per second, over ten times faster than his standard sword-flight.

Furthermore, they could unleash devastating squall torrents capable of blanketing a thousand-mile radius in an instant.

As both a propulsion system and an offensive asset, it ranked comfortably among top-tier Qi Refining Mystic Implants.

In terms of utility and price tag, it was leagues beyond Spinner's Heavenly Child Death God Eye.

"Damn it all!"

Zephyr slapped his thigh, his eyes glued to the jade mirror in his hands as he cursed under his breath. "If you don't know how to play, don't play! Grind your skills before you queue!"

"What game has you so hooked, Senior?" Spinner asked curiously, peering at the jade mirror in the chubby cultivator's hands.

"Ah, I'm running "Wild Rogue: Chapter Two"..."

The other replied off-handedly, "The Arcane Net Edition."

"Tch, I've heard of that, but honestly..." Spinner chuckled, "I'm still more of a fan of "Swordsman Vagabond V"."

"Mm..." Zephyr nodded thoughtfully. "Word on the street is they're dropping the sixth installment soon."

"Right?"

Spinner sighed longingly. "I've been waiting for three damn centuries..."

"What the hell are you two idiots doing?!"

Suddenly, a frigid, icy shout cracked across their ears. "Didn't I dispatch you two to investigate the boundary gate anomaly? Why the hell are you standing around gossiping about video games?!"

Trailing the voice, a purple-haired female cultivator materialized before Zephyr and Spinner, startling the pair into bowing instantly:

"Captain Aethel."

"Hmph!"

The female cultivator, known as Aethel, slowly turned to face them.

Her delicate nose sat above an entirely blank canvas; she lacked both a mouth and a chin. In their place, a semi-circular jade box etched with dense, complex runes had been surgically carved directly into her lower facial bones.

Inside that jade box, three minuscule golden horn-speakers vibrated faintly in sync with her crisp reprimands.

Indeed, this was yet another Mystic Implant: the Sonic Phantom Box.

Its utility allowed the user to play powerful, mind-fracturing, soul-shattering demonic symphonies at a moment's notice.

It could even project sonic roars potent enough to shatter three thousand miles of solid terrain.

Among Qi Refining-tier Mystic Implants, it belonged to the absolute apex tier.

HUMM!

The hundred-foot boundary gate behind the trio suddenly erupted with blinding, pearlescent radiance, shooting beams of light in all directions.

Accompanying this brilliant bloom came thousands of layers of violent space-time fluctuations, rippling outward to blanket a hundred-mile radius in a split second.

"What's going on?" Aethel spun around, her brows furrowing as she stared at the increasingly violent boundary gate.

Behind her, Spinner and Zephyr wore equally curious expressions.

HUM, HUM, HUM!

As the flash of light faded, the boundary gate returned to its original state, falling dead silent.

Yet beneath that profound silence, an instinctive, chilling dread prickled at the trio's hearts.

It felt as though some cataclysmic disaster... was about to descend.

"Something's wrong!"

Aethel whipped around, barking an urgent warning to her two subordinates. "I have a terrible feeling that something is about to hap—"

Before she could finish, that boundary gate expanded instantaneously by countless trillions of times without the slightest warning. It swallowed up the three cultivators, the Yeoa Kingdom, the entirety of Ascension Square, and the mountain-sized Red Giant Walls surrounding it, vaporizing them into nothingness in the blink of an eye.

Following that instantaneous vanishing act, a blinding, shimmering torrent of space-time energy spanning several million miles in diameter materialized dead-center within the core architectural hub of the Godforge Guild.

RUMBLE, RUMBLE, RUMBLE, RUMBLE!!!!

An incandescent flash devoured the firmament, and apocalyptic tidal waves of energy roared in all directions.

Three million miles, seven million miles, fifteen million miles, eighty-eight million miles...

Within a mere heartbeat or two.

A staggering expanse of over a hundred million miles, encompassing the Godforge Guild's most elite, densely built sectarian core, was utterly erased down to subatomic ash.

Down on the boundless earth.

A second glorious Great Sun was abruptly born.

Centered upon that blast, an incandescent, blinding brilliance too searing to gaze upon instantly surged outward to devour the skies and lands in all directions.

CRACK, CRACK, CRACK, CRACK!

Every single object illuminated by this radiance instantly lost its spiritual defense, bursting into raging infernos before twisting, collapsing, melting, and vaporizing into useless plumes of burning gas that vanished without a trace.

This was the desperate counterattack unleashed by a tiny mortal world. Stripped of its existence by the merciless, supreme Heavenly Dao, compressed by a factor of billions, it sacrificed its space-time, matter, and energy, everything it was, to strike back fiercely at the detestable outside world.

Consequently, the sheer, terrifying magnitude of the devastation it unleashed exceeded its own baseline "weight" by countless hundreds of millions of times.

Thus, beneath this cataclysmic, world-shattering wave of destruction, an expansive domain spanning hundreds of millions of miles collapsed in an instant, plunging straight into a boundless inferno.

RUMBLE, RUMBLE, RUMBLE, RUMBLE!

Everything was burning.

Everything was perishing.

The Grand Patriarch Hall that had stood silently for eternity, countless tens of thousands of cultivators, countless potted botanical kingdoms, millions of star-sized towers and palaces, magnificent mountain ranges stretching tens of millions of miles, winding, roaring rivers...

Everything, absolutely everything, disintegrated and dissolved under the grand annihilation brought by Calamitas. It morphed into boundless, blistering torrents that roared outward to engulf even wider, more distant skies and lands.

Deep within the epicenter of this absolute devastation, Calamitas floated effortlessly amidst the howling energy vortex, eyes half-closed and arms spread wide, completely unharmed. She was accelerating rapidly toward... Spirit Transformation.

In truth, having authored her foundational scripture, the "Heaven-Ascending Dragon Momentum", 99% of all phenomena and energy within the universe could no longer inflict so much as a scratch upon Calamitas.

Instead, they served as her supreme assets, entirely subservient to her command.

Therefore, upon arriving in the Caelum-Arcanum universe and sensing the exceptionally dense, vast, and surging Ether saturating this higher-tier world, Calamitas began cultivating on the spot.

Throughout the cultivation process, tens of thousands of invisible maws opened across her entire frame, greedily devouring the turbulent, violently boiling torrents of Ether flooding the realm.

Each wave of boundless Ether consumed by Calamitas was instantly converted into massive volumes of high-grade true energy under the influence of her super Spirit Root.

Her cultivation realm surged like a blazing inferno doused in oil, charging violently past structural thresholds to break into higher dimensions.

Her realm breached the peak of Essence Refining in a flash, surging straight past the barrier into Early Spirit Transformation.

Thanks to the endless, regenerating supply of Caelum-Arcanum's infinite Ether "sponsorship," her combat prowess exploded manifold on the spot.

True energy scaled up to the Primordial Soul tier, transforming into radiant, multicolored streams that swirled and danced in countless recursive layers around Calamitas.

Such true energy coverage was a terrifying display of power exclusive to high-tier Primordial Soul Sovereigns.

Yet at this moment, it was casually brought forth by Calamitas, who had only just stepped into the entry tier of the realm.

Suffice to say, the gap between Primordial Soul cultivators was evidently vaster than the gap between humans and stray dogs.

Furthermore, compared to her Qi Refining days, Calamitas's macro-perspective and sensory perception of the grand cosmos underwent a profound, qualitative metamorphosis upon entering this realm.

Within her vision, the Caelum-Arcanum universe eclipsed the lower realm across every conceivable metric.

Not only were Ether concentration and purity incomparable, but the blatant, unmasked display of various cosmic rules and Dao Intents made Caelum-Arcanum look "generous and open-handed" compared to the stingy lower realm.

To draw an analogy: if the mortal lower realm resembled a maiden swaddled in layers upon layers of thick winter cotton padding,

Then the Caelum-Arcanum universe was akin to an alluring, voluptuous supreme beauty strolling along a summer beach clad in a sheer, translucent bikini, flashing an enchanting, seductive smile.

Sheer, unadulterated exposure.

Raging gales, majestic thunderclaps, heavy bedrock, boundless vitality, circulating magnetic forces, dense frost, boiling flames, and undulating space-time...

The countless rules and Dao Intents lurking deep within all phenomena surged forward like overlapping mountain-waves, scrambling toward Calamitas and dancing ecstatically as they practically begged her to comprehend and harvest them.

Consequently, Calamitas felt she didn't even need to actively cultivate.

Propelled by the oceanic density of the surrounding Ether and the unreservedly displayed splendor of countless rules and Dao Intents, the "Heaven-Ascending Dragon Momentum" was stimulated into autonomous operation, driving her cultivation realm upward in a frenzied surge.

Contrary to Lady Serenitas's understanding, a cultivator who stepped into the Spirit Transformation realm could no longer rely on blindly absorbing massive quantities of Ether to drive their cultivation forward like a mere Qi Refiner.

They were required to observe and comprehend the countless Dao Intents and True Laws embedded within all phenomena of the universe to sustain their upward trajectory.

Thus, if a cultivator possessed a monstrous Spirit Root but lacked profound comprehension aptitude, they would frequently hit bottlenecks and get permanently "stuck" upon reaching this realm, gradually fading into mediocrity over the passage of endless years.

Yet for Calamitas, the concept of "profound comprehension aptitude" was utterly, hysterically laughable.

In Calamitas's eyes, the rules and Dao Intents permeating every square inch of this realm were as obvious as a louse on a bald head, blatantly apparent.

A single glance yielded understanding; a single reach guaranteed mastery.

The Dao enlightenment that countless realm cultivators prayed for yet could never attain was, for Calamitas, an uninterrupted, every-second-of-the-day state of being.

"Truly an... exceptionally splendid world."

Floating amidst the boundless Ether, Calamitas snapped her eyes open, her tiger-like gaze erupting with divine light representing myriad phenomena.

HUM, HUM, HUM!

Innumerable rules, resembling countless flitting, iridescent hummingbirds and cicadas, flooded her entire field of vision.

Innumerable rules, resembling endless, colossal dragon-serpents spanning heaven and earth, soared freely across the mortal dust, enveloping her from every cardinal direction.

In short, beneath Calamitas's sensory perception, the entire grand cosmos was overflowing with boundless Dao Intents, transforming into an ocean of the Dao.

And as Calamitas bathed and drifted within this boundless ocean of dao-patterns, her cultivation and spiritual attainment skyrocketed with frenzied velocity.

HUM, HUM, HUM!

A mere half-cup of tea's worth of time.

She broke through from the entry tier, smashing past the mid-tier, conquering the high-tier, and violently charging into the pinnacle tier, a milestone that Heaven Spirit Root cultivators typically required a millennium or longer to touch, officially ascending into a top-tier Primordial Soul Sovereign.

Standing tall at this echelon, Calamitas's power inflated by trillions of fold over her initial entry state in the span of a few brief moments.

If an ordinary top-tier Primordial Soul Sovereign's full-strength strike could flatten a trillion miles of terrain.

Calamitas at the exact same realm outstripped that benchmark by over ten thousand times.

In other words, if she exerted herself at this very moment, she could quite literally blast half of Cloud-Mist Island to smithereens.

Yet this was still far from Calamitas's ceiling.

Having reached the pinnacle of Spirit Transformation, she continued her relentless cultivation, probing for a breakthrough into the esoteric Void Reversion realm.

Though the threshold separating the peak of Primordial Soul from the entry tier of Void Reversion was an immense chasm, one capable of trapping 99% of top-tier Primordial Soul Sovereigns for tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of years.

Yet for Calamitas, what others called "immensely difficult" was merely a variation of the concept [Simple].

Every problem could be categorized as: Super Simple, Ten-Thousand-Fold Simple, Extremely Simple, Abundantly Simple, Exceptionally Simple, Extraordinarily Simple, Quite Simple, Rather Simple, Ordinarily Simple, Slightly Simple...

In short, every obstacle in existence was, to her, devoid of difficulty.

Meanwhile, after this brief lapse of time, the cataclysmic devastation raging around Calamitas finally subsided into a standstill.

The world returned to a tense silence.

Yet the Godforge Guild's sectarian headquarters had tragically birthed a colossal crater spanning several hundred million miles across and plunging millions of miles deep.

This giant crater was so gargantuan that it could comfortably swallow the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, and their respective orbital paths whole.

Right at that juncture, three figures materialized at breakneck speed upon the rim of this colossal abyss, hovering just above the drop-off.

The figure standing dead-center wore a towering scholar's cap and archaic robes, his entire frame wreathed in a heaven-shattering, towering sword intent.

This individual was the Patriarch of the Godforge Guild, Skyft Sovereign, a peak Primordial Soul Sovereign.

Flanking him to his right was a gloomy, emaciated elder lacking legs, whose lower torso had been replaced by four long, golden, multi-jointed Mystic Implant prosthetic limbs.

This elder was an Elder of the Godforge Guild, Dragide Sovereign, a peak Primordial Soul Sovereign.

Flanking the elder to his right was a breathtakingly gorgeous female cultivator whose face bore a murderous expression, radiating a searing aura of lethal intent.

Much like Dragide Sovereign, she bore two slender jade prosthetic limbs mounted upon her shoulders.

Her left hand gripped a mirror, her right hand held a bell, both radiating intense, spiritual magic treasure auras.

This female cultivator was likewise an Elder of the Godforge Guild, styled as Mirage Sovereign, a peak Primordial Soul Sovereign.

"Son of a bitch!"

Skyft Sovereign roared in blind fury. "The ten-million-year legacy of my Godforge Guild has been reduced to ruin in a single breath by this wretched thief!"

Dragide Sovereign remained silent, but judging from his expression, dark as a thunderstorm, his internal state was undoubtedly past the breaking point.

"Save the breath, Senior Brother!"

Mirage Sovereign's exquisite face twisted with murderous intent as she pointed a finger toward Calamitas, who sat cross-legged in the void trillions of miles away, eyes closed in cultivation, and spoke coldly: "Beat this bastard half to death first, and we can discuss the rest later!"

"Agreed!" Skyft Sovereign wasted no further breath, snapping his fingers together and pointing them toward the heavens.

BOOM!

In an instant, tens of millions of miles of the firmament convulsed violently.

Then, out of nowhere, ten million illusory giant swords, each a million miles thick, materialized and plummeted downward with cataclysmic force toward the meditating Calamitas.

This was the Heaven-Propping Sword Qi.

Once unleashed, it manifested ten million extreme-yang, soul-annihilating sword lights capable of obliterating both tangible matter and intangible spirit across a trillion-mile radius.

Even among Primordial Soul-tier sword arts, it ranked comfortably in the upper echelon.

Simultaneously, the jade arms mounted upon Mirage Sovereign's shoulders lashed out in sync.

The archaic mirror clutched in her left palm radiated a hazy, profound beam of mystic light, sweeping straight across the trillions of miles to lock onto Calamitas's frame.

This artifact was a top-tier Primordial Soul esoteric treasure: the [World-Anchoring Mirror]. Once activated, it projected the World-Anchoring Divine Light, capable of remotely locking down the target and all surrounding matter in motion, effectively freezing time itself.

Sure enough, bathed in the treasure mirror's mystic light, Calamitas, alongside the surrounding millions of miles of firmament and earth, froze instantly, locking every single phenomenon and object dead in its tracks.

Whether it was rising dust, evaporating flames, or drifting residual light, everything plunged into a horrifying, absolute standstill.

In the very same split second, the golden bell clutched in the palm of Mirage Sovereign's right prosthetic limb shook violently, instantly sending the entire firmament boiling into a frenzy.

SWISH, SWISH, SWISH, SWISH, SWISH!

In the blink of an eye, 8.88 million crimson meteors, each measuring a million miles wide, slammed downward with apocalyptic force toward the silently meditating Calamitas in the distance.

This golden bell was likewise a top-tier Primordial Soul esoteric treasure, named the [Star-Falling Bell]. It could summon falling stars from beyond the heavens to bombard a target's geographic coordinates from afar.

Meanwhile, Dragide Sovereign withheld his attacks, deploying his mobility instead.

The four golden prosthetic legs beneath his waist blurred into a vortex of motion, propelling him in a flash to circle the trillion-mile crater surrounding Calamitas, clocking over a dozen laps per second.

The Mystic Implant wielded by Dragide Sovereign was likewise a top-tier Primordial Soul-grade esoteric treasure.

Once activated, it permitted the user to instantly traverse 3.6 billion miles in a single thought.

Empowered by this treasure, though Dragide Sovereign had yet to strike directly, he served as a dynamic, evasive spotter, perpetually probing Calamitas for any sign of movement.

Though the sequence took longer to describe, the trio's coordinated assault unfolded entirely within a single second.

Yet in that exact same second, faced with the ten million giant sword qi plunging from the sky and the 8.88 million falling meteorites, Calamitas simply ignored Mirage Sovereign's so-called World-Anchoring Divine Light and snapped her eyes open:

"You two are way too noisy."

HUM!

Following that frigid utterance, Dragide Sovereign, who had been zooming frantically around her with his four robotic legs, suddenly froze dead in mid-air.

It was as though the one "frozen" by the World-Anchoring Divine Light wasn't Calamitas at all, but him.

Simultaneously, all the sweeping sword qi and outer-space meteors hurtling toward Calamitas inexplicably stalled in mid-air.

Then, defying all logic, they violently reversed their trajectories, screaming back with overwhelming, world-devouring force toward the slack-jawed Skyft Sovereign and Mirage Sovereign a trillion miles away.

"How is this possible..."

The two figures shrieked in mounting panic, retreating trillions of miles in a mad scramble to avoid being pulverized by their own counter-attack.

SWISH, SWISH, SWISH, SWISH!

With horrifying bizarreness, no matter how many times they retreated or unleashed brand-new techniques, the newly cast spells instantly inverted the moment they left their hands, turning to strike them down.

Thus, the two utterly terrified Sovereigns were forced into a chaotic, unbroken rout, fleeing toward the farthest horizons.

They remained utterly clueless that this supernatural phenomenon was the sheer, crushing might of Calamitas's "Heaven-Ascending Dragon Momentum".

All phenomena and objects within the universe could serve as swords within her grasp.

Including, and especially, the attacks of one's enemies.
