Chapter 17 - Chapter 16: The Omiverse

Before there was form, before time, before even the almighty divines took name. There was Malerenz. The First Will. Architect of Existence. A being who is truly in the echelon of boundlessness. A creator.

A creator of what?

Chaos.

The primordial essence that all power flows, exists. Within all matter, life, galaxies, the Omiverse, dimensions. Chaos is not born of morality, neither righteous nor wicked. It is potential, shaped by the will, discipline, and spirit of the one who draws such power.

As chaos stirs within a living being, they manifest an external shell.

Aura.

The visible expression of one's inner energy. Its density and color reflect the users strength, affinity, often taking on distinct colors or elemental traits. But controlled aura enhances the body, granting greater strength, speed, endurance, perception, durability.

Chaotic arts are techniques formed by shaping chaos through intent and practice. Chaos itself is formless; it becomes fire, wind, light, darkness, or whatever affinity is granted to the user.

Elemental shaping. Bodily enhancements. Martial enhancement and techniques. Weapon manifestation and infusion. Energy projection, blasts, beams. Summoning, necromancy, enchantments, anything is possible with chaos.

Although individuals possess natural affinities, mastery of chaos can allow them to learn additional forms. Albeit the user themselves must meet certain criteria to do so. But it is a very arduous task.

However, what all warriors of chaos try to reach is the most profound.

Pure Chaos.

Original, unshaped. It defies the natural law of time, space, matter. Only those with the natural talent, unmatched power, mastery, can reach this point, albeit barely.

When an individual reaches this echelon, they are no longer considered mortal. They are Numens, essentially demi-gods.

But the ones who stand above all are the true gods of this infinite universe. Worshipped by mortals and Numens alike.

Divines.

Such as the woman standing before Valentine and Alzar, keeping a gentle smile, waving at the two.

Nitanz.

"It's so nice to see you two again, ~" Nitanz chuckled, slowly approaching them. "How many years has it been since I last seen you, Val?"

"Eleven years exactly."

Nitanz stood at Valentine's short height, "oh don't make such a dangerous face at me, Val." Nitanz tilted her head, smiling, "remember when you were like a little sister to me?"

Valentine remained stoic, "what do you want?"

Nitanz remained quiet, her sharp eyes shifting to Alzar's, "I'm afraid this'll have to be discussed…privately, for now." With a simple wave of Nitanz' hand, Alzar's body began to glow a bright hue of white.

Before Alzar could even react, he was standing before the gates of his large estate. Looking straight to the calm beach as water drifted onto shore. Alzar gritted his teeth, "damn angel…"

In Valentine's home, she and Nitanz sat in the living area, across from each other. Valentine kept her guard, arms crossed, not entertained in the slightest.

"I happened to have seen your son before he left. Such a handsome young man he's grown into. He looks just like you and Astaroth, huh?"

"What happened to your daughter, Cleonatra?" Valentine asked, stoic. While she wasn't necessarily worried about the girl, Valentine knew more than anyone how Nitanz is. And a "heartwarming" mother was not one of those traits of hers.

Nitanz scoffed, laughing, "stabbed me and ran away. Little brat. After all I've done for her, molded her… mothered…" Nitanz clenched her fist, trying to hide the indignation on her expression.

Valentine could see how much it bothered her, the very space within them was steadily shifting like water in a cup, dots of white lights slowly blinking in and out. But Nitanz quickly fixed herself, "that idiot husband of mine ruined everything. If only she was much like her sister, Nefertiti."—Nitanz shook her head—"A shame, really."

Valentine nearly snorted in utter annoyance, but controlled herself, "care to tell me what you want now? I'm not in the mood for this."

Nitanz perked herself up, crossing her plump thighs, her large chest puffed out, "things will grow very hectic in the future, horrendous, even. The omiverse we know and live in will change forever in due time. I need your help, Val."

"The divine of Seraphims, needing my assistance? That's rich coming from you, Nitanz," Valentine scoffed, combing her fingers through her hair, "why exactly should I believe a possible accomplice to my own husbands' death?"

Valentine was nearly at the point of grabbing Nitanz by her throat and ripping it out. But she knew that couldn't happen. Two beings equal in strength, on a mortal planet. That would cause nothing but useless destruction.

Nitanz grew indifferent, "I had nothing to do with Rellgis' death, Valentine. I did nothing to support Sedreen, and you know this. I merely gave him insight for what was to come. He made that choice himself."

"Alright. What's to 'come'?"

"If I reveal too much too soon, things will grow worse, faster. But listen to me, Valentine. If it was something so small, I wouldn't even take the time to ask you this. I need you to understand that things will take a drastic turn if we don't do anything. Think of your family. Teyin, Astaroth, Juniper, Skysi—"

"Don't you dare try to guilt trip me! I know exactly how you operate."

Nitanz took a deep breath, "fine. If that's how you want to play…" She raised her head, looking dead into Valentine's eyes, "I'll kill both your son and daughter, and the red head boy he just met as a bonus, Valentine. You and me both know you can't protect them if we go head-to-head..."

Valentine's violet eyes grew smaller in rage, "you wouldn't da—"

"But I would. I'll do whatever it means to make sure everything in this Omiverse doesn't get destroyed. Even if it means sacrifices need to be made. Egregious ones, at that."

Valentine grew silent, her blood boiling. Nitanz was right. There was absolutely no possible way she could protect her kids if her and Nitanz fought it out, to the death. They were on equal standing. And for Nitanz to even come up with such machinations meant that whatever was going on behind the scenes, was not anything pleasant. A Divine, a goddess of Seraphims, angels, asking for help. It's rare.

Valentine nearly gulped, swallowing her pride, slowly replying, "…alright, Nitanz. What is it?"

"That's my girl!" Nitanz cheered. She leaned forward, resting her cheek on the palm of her soft hand, smiling, "I need the demonic woman before she married Rellgis, Val. The High Fiendevor who killed all that stood in her way. Destroyer of worlds, threat to the Omiverse we live in. The menace that all gods feared…"—Nitanz rose her hand to Valentine— "I need you, Valentine Karnàge Lucius."

Nitanz looked at Valentine, yet she didn't see the person Valentine had become in the present. Instead, she saw the ancient predator from millennia past—a striking demon with long, flowing grey hair and twin ruby horns sweeping back over her head and branching into the air. Her mysterious black eyes were enough to instill fear in even the most powerful gods. In one small hand, she gripped a blood-red cleaver. A killer.

Nitanz' plan wasn't anything that required peace, by any means. No. She needed strength, might, unprecedented power.

And Valentine is one of the pieces she needs.

The Omiverse, just as beautiful as many people stated. This specific part of the Omiverse where Skysin and Crim reside is known as the Vinteel Galaxy, also known as the Yuman Province: Second Half of the Mortal Realm.

It is said that the Vinteel Galaxy was once an entire piece, whole. However, a disastrous war amongst the Yumans and Fellen race caused a split. Quite literally. An ancient fellen goddess, a divine, had sliced the Vinteel Galaxy in two, separating the fellen and yuman race from each other, putting an end to the horrible war. Even with the Vinteel Galaxy being divided into a pair, it is greatly vast, much larger than an entire universe! Still, with that, it grows, infinitely, and the power of chaos continues to advance ever more.

Within Crim's lucanaship, Lucy, him and Skysin gazed before the wondrous scene. Nebulae bloom everywhere, like stunning, cosmic flowers. Colors shifting between gold, sapphire, emerald and soft rose, as if the stars themselves breathe. Rivers of starlight wind through the cold darkness, forming luminous paths of what ancient civilizations believed were the footprints of gods walking between worlds.

The star fields are breathtakingly dense. Millions of stars hang close together, forming luminous tapestries across the dark blanket. Some burn steady and calm, while others flare and dim rhythmically, creating slow celestial rhythms—vast, silent heartbeats that echo across space.

Skysin and Crim's eyes glimmered with the beautiful lights before them.

Skysin smiled, "this is so damn cool… I know my mom said space was great, but that was an understatement."

"For real. My dad told me about it all the time too. But witnessing it firsthand is something else."

Skysin leaned back, "so, where we goin' man?"

"That's a great question, actually," Crim replied, raising a brow, "I'm not really sure. But I do need a few parts for the ship though. O3 sensor and a battery. I should've done this before we left…dammit."

Skysin sat his hands behind his head, "guess we should go to a near-by planet then."

Crim pressed a button near his radio, showing an entire holographic map, like a GPS, of the Vinteel Galaxy, showing many types of planets and their distance.

Skysin raised a brow, "what's this?"

"It's an Omni-Satellite. Any previous planet the ship passed or landed on, it automatically saves the location and details into the system. Pretty helpful."

"Cool."

"Lucky for us, whoever was driving this girl before my pops got her… been traveling a lot. There's a shit ton of planets saved on here." Crim's grey eyes slightly widened, "and there's one not very far either. Planet Vallorey."

"Guess we know our next destination then, huh?"

"Yep," Crim grinned, pressing his foot on the clutch pedal and changed gears. Lucy's engine roared, and shot forward, disappearing in an instant, already hitting speeds of several thousand faster than light, shooting through the stars.
