I apologise for not posting in a long while. A lot has happened. Some people very close to me have gone to happier place, while some people have started new chapters in their life. It's been overwhelming at times.
I am writing this message on the 20/12/24 I have continued to write this fan-fiction in the background, but stuff happens. When I started again, I had writer's block. So I re-read this from the start. Some parts of this were absolute dogshit (Like the prologue. I have no clue what I was thinking when I wrote that), while some bits I really liked. I'm thinking of adding a chapter for a flashback for all the changes and a chapter or two dedicated to the professors.
And it's me again on 17/06/25, I'm doing a huge edit. The chapters are all going to be in second person and I'm trying to only follow one character to keep it more consistent. I all deleted a lot of scenes that contributed nothing to the plot. I also got rid of the chapter dedicated to the professors. I also have the first antagonist after the MC graduates ready. There are a few hints dropped in before the first task.
And it's me from 30/08/25. Completely happy with chapters one and two. Took longer than expect. Thought of a better way to introduce the changes so chapter three is taking a lot longer. I'm really excited to write the start of chapter four. It's going to be completely different from what I'm used writing. Also, I'm trying to write shorter passages daily and trying to be more consistent so I don't burn out or get writers block again. The old chapters will still be available but I'll get rid of them soon once I have everything I need from them.
Also, new title. (Old Title: 'HP: The Plague Doctor') The events of the novel stay mostly the same. Also, I grouped up the chapter, so you have fewer but longer chapters to enjoy. Release schedule is about every 3 weeks or so with each chapter having 6k words or more.
And it's me from 17/07/26. My PC had a motherboard issue. So I lost everything. I had saved the new chapters on Obsidian but didn't have it synced up to my email. I'm now basically writing it from scratch, using the chapters posted here as the foundation, and from memory. The first few chapters have been uploaded. Also, I'm going back to smaller chapters now because of it. Please don't read anything after this as I can't guarantee the quality of the writing. If you do, I wish you luck.
