"This Castle Faction." One Demon Monarch said, "Less than two months on the Endless Continent and they've gathered a trillion troops, with over a million Gods. Their troops ascend by killing, no shackles, no bottlenecks beyond their growth potential. Every golden light on that battlefield is a sign of ascension."
"Our Abyss also breeds ordinary Demons by the billions." Another one said, "But a million gods in two months, even we can't do that."
The castle faction's innate ability, gaining strength through killing, was a gift of the Endless Continent's Laws. It was openly envied. If the Dimensional Demons had possessed the same talent, the whole universe itself would have been theirs already.
"It's that wretched Law." Someone said, "It has God Monarch Tier strength, locked to the Endless Continent. When the Throneveil Shrine falls and the wall cracks, the Laws would get suppressed below the God Monarch Tier. That's why we can be here at all."
Even so, the unease didn't leave.
"Once the battle of planets begins, we split off a part of the Burning Legion, and add Demonic Armies from our direct commands, to hit the Castle Faction hard. Destroy them before they finish growing. The pure-blooded Demons we'd lose to a fully developed Castle Faction would cost massively."
Ordinary demons were cannon fodder, bred by the hundreds of millions. Their deaths meant nothing. The pure-blooded Demons were their race's foundation, and they were difficult to replace. That distinction mattered.
"Two or three legions of our Demonic Armies would be enough to erase the Castle Faction. Their gods are mostly weak Lower True Gods. Two million sounds like a lot, but it isn't."
One Demon Monarch, a peak Supreme God, with dark-purple eyes burning with killing intent, had already made his decision privately. The moment the Burning Legion entered the Endless Continent, he would move personally to suppress the Castle Factions and cut the threat before it could fully bloom. The castle faction would not survive long enough to become a real problem.
"Don't overlook the Great Aetherium." Eisenfaust said.
Someone scoffed, "An empire? In the Ancient War, empires existed and we destroyed them all."
"Other Castle Lords and Rangers can be ignored. Their strength is too weak to matter." Eisenfaust paused, "But the Great Aetherium is different."
His intelligence on it was detailed and verified, "The Great Aetherium fields a God Class Race called Angels. In less than two months, it has produced several Supreme Gods, two of them at the peak. In a recent small Divine War between them and the Endless Continent's Evil Pantheon, one of those peak Supreme God Tier Angels defeated the Titan Lord Varkath."
Silence.
The Fifth Demon Lord Temerith broke it with a dismissive sound, "The Titan Lord Varkath? I defeated him in the Ancient Era. If it hadn't been for those bastards Elunara and Drakenvader pulling him out, he would have died in my hands. That's not impressive."
Eisenfaust looked at her, "In the Ancient Era, you were at the late-stage, and so was Varkath. A hundred thousand years have passed. You are still at the late-stage, but Varkath has ascended to the peak." He took a pause, "If you fought again today, the one defeated would be you."
Temerith said nothing. She had underestimated Varkath. Which meant she had underestimated the Great Aetherium. Defeating a peak Supreme God Varkath, who was a pure blooded Thunder Titan himself, what level of power did that require? She ran the calculation and didn't like the answer.
"So the Great Aetherium is a strong opponent." the Fourth Demon Lord said.
"Stronger than that." Eisenfaust said, "The Great Aetherium's greatest threat isn't its peak Supreme God Tier Angel. It's their Emperor, a human named Kazehaya Haru."
He laid out what he knew. In that very recent war, he, then a late-stage Supreme God, had fought Malakar and Skarion simultaneously and suppressed both. When Malakar's Godhead self-destructed, generating a catastrophic Divine Power explosion, Haru had reversed it with the Law of Time.
He then killed both of them and ascended to the peak on the battlefield from the exp gain. He masters the origin of nearly two hundred Divine Laws, one of which is Space-Time Law.
The Demon Monarchs who have lived through the Ancient War recognized those names. Malakar and Skarion had survived everything the twelve Demon Monarchs had thrown at them in that era. But they were dead now, at the hands of an Emperor who had been a 'supernatural' for less than two months.
Several Demon Monarchs felt something unfamiliar move through them.
"Eisenfaust, nearly two hundred sources of Divine Laws require an attributeless Godhead capable of holding all of them."
"Yes. An attributeless Godhead, the kind that accommodates any law, any attribute, without any limits. No top-level Supreme God Tier Artifact comes even close to its value. If its secrets could be studied, the benefit would extend all the way to the comprehension of a God Monarch Tier Law's comprehension."
Every pair of demonic eyes sharpened. The greed was immediate and unanimous. Kill Haru, take that godhead, and the gains would exceed killing several Supreme Gods of equivalent standing.
"When the war begins, we go for him first. He's the greatest threat."
"Killing a peak Space-Time Lord who commands two hundred Divine Laws isn't simple."
"Can even the twelve of us together not manage it?"
"He must die!"
