A dinner, under Eden's deliberate mediation, had a very relaxed atmosphere. Gong Ting spoke little throughout, focusing on eating whenever dishes were served, much to Gong Zhen's frustration.
Several times, Gong Zhen kicked him under the table, signaling him to talk with Eden, but Gong Ting showed little interest, paying full attention to the food.
Dinner lasted nearly two hours. Eden glanced at her watch, and Gong Zhen, noticing this, realized she had other plans and didn't want to overstay. He got up to say goodbye, "Your Majesty, thank you for hosting us tonight. Gong Ting and I are very pleased."
Eden stood up, her gaze sweeping over Gong Ting before landing on Gong Zhen, with a slight smile, "I should have sat with you longer, but I have a meeting soon, my apologies. Let's gather again when there's a chance."
