This is an overpowering situation purely on the level of equipment. The crude weapons in the hands of those Monsters, even natural weapons, simply cannot pierce the armor forged of Dwarven steel.
Either they fall in swathes, like straw being harvested.
Or they crumble like an army, fleeing backwards.
