During dinner, they were stopped in time by Mrs. Feng, so they didn't actually start fighting. After dinner, the two of them took a shower and lay on the bed back to back, the surroundings so quiet they could hear each other's heartbeat.
However, five minutes later, Qin Mu was the first to lose her composure. She sat up, grabbed her pillow, and smashed it down onto his shoulder.
"Mu Yichen, you bastard!"
She hit hard, but Mu Yichen just buried his face in the sheet and raised a hand to cover his head as a way of dodging. When she was finally done hitting him, he sat up, hugging her pillow, staring straight at her. "How am I a bastard?"
He didn't know why, but after he asked that, he himself kind of wanted to laugh.
