[KIYOMI]
Kiyomi stared at the letter in her hands like this was the first time she was seeing or even understanding what was in there. Like this was the one thing that shouldn't have pulled her in with so much ease, yet it had. Maybe because even after reading, Kiyomi was confused.
The letter said one thing.
And Elif's actions in Doiwa had been something else.
It was as if there were blank spaces that needed to be filled, but with no one to fill them. It was haunting to say the least because even the gods couldn't understand what this was.
"She promised me you, Kiki…" Elif had said on the battlefield.
And Kiyomi hadn't understood one bit.
Liu had insinuated roaring feelings. But this letter was different.
It spoke of something else, and for a moment, Kiyomi wondered if this was a letter she wasn't supposed to see just yet. If this was a final act of goodbye to her. If this was the last stage of a sequence that had drained them both.
Maybe it wasn't.
Maybe it was.
