Elise and Marigold continue dragging Prince Magnus and the kidnapper back to their hotel.
Marigold-"Are we almost back to the hotel yet?"
Elise-"Should be soon, why they getting heavy?"
Marigold-"Well unlike you with your freakishly strong body I'm having to use my water skill to move him"
Elise-"Oh please, there's no way your low on mana already"
Marigold-"I've barely used any of my mana, I'm saying you're the one who should be tired. It's like if you were dragging a full grown dragon around at your full size"
Elise-"What? You can't carry people at your size?"
Marigold-"Not without using a skill no"
Elise-"Man, you really need to work out more"
Marigold-"We just spent the last year training on the Kaiju Archipelago"
Elise-"I mean your body not your magic skills. Say you come across an enemy who can either nullify magic or is immune to your magic. What are you gonna do then?"
Marigold-"I feel like the amount of people who can nullify magic or are immune to literal holy magic is pretty small"
Elise-"Yeah, but the odds aren't zero, especially since it seems the power of our enemies just keeps going up and up. We're bound to encounter powers like that sooner or later"
Marigold-"You have a point, but your enhanced strength comes from magic not simply pure muscle. If your mana was nullified too then what would you do?"
Elise-"If both of us had no mana and are the same size. I would still defeat you pretty easily"
Marigold-"I mean, fair point"
Elise-"Look, there's the hotel"
Elise and Marigold arrived back at the hotel the group is staying at.
Marigold-"Now, how do we bring two unconscious bodies up to their room without drawing attention?"
Elise-"Or we could, you know, have them come outside."
Marigold-"Oh... yeah that's a better idea"
Elise-"One of us should watch Magnus and the kidnapper lady while the other one goes to tell the rest of our friends what happened"
Marigold-"But they just tried to kidnap us, I feel like it's a bad idea to split up, we also don't know which one of us they were after"
Elise-"True, oh you got those new summons didn't you?"
Marigold-"Yeah, I unlocked that skill a few months ago, it came in handy a few times"
Elise-"Yep that one, just send one of those to go get everyone else's attention"
Marigold-"Holy water skill: blessed sea golems"
Marigold summons three water golems that are each the same height as her at about one foot tall.
Elise-"Can't you make them bigger?"
Marigold-"Well we're trying to be inconspicuous"
Elise-"You could have just said sneaky or quiet. Nobody says inconspicuous in real life"
Marigold-"Shush"
Marigold sends the water golems to the edge of the building. Two water golems grab the legs of the third water golem to hoist it upwards. The two then stretch their bodies into thin stilts to push the third water golem up to the floor the rest of the group is at. The water golem looks through the window and sees the rest of the group sleeping in their beds. Marigold makes little circles with her fingers and looks through them to see what the golem sees.
Elise-"Did you find them?"
Marigold-"Yep, they're in there"
Marigold has the golem start banging on the window. Since the golem is made out of water the bangs sounds like water balloons. After just a few knocks Adam, Joe, and Damion all jump up into battle position while still tired.
Damion-"Monster attack?"
Adam-"Prepare to- wait..."
The three of them look around and see Marigolds water golem in the window.
Joe-"Dang it, now I'm fully awake"
Adam-"I guess we're still in survival mode from the Kaiju Archipelago, that's gonna take some time to fade"
Damion walks over to the window and opens it up, after he does he looks down to the ground. He sees Marigold and Elise waving at him.
Damion-"...who are the two dead people?"
Adam and Joe-"What!?"
Adam and Joe run up to the window and see the unconscious kidnapper and Prince Magnus.
Adam-"Are they dead?"
Joe-"One of them probably is, look at how bloody they are, what did Elise do?"
Adam-"Shush! We need to keep our voices down!"
Damion-"You're the one who started yelling"
Adam carefully jumps out of the window, he's followed soon after by Joe and Damion.
Adam-"Elise what did you do?"
Elise-"I didn't do anything"
Adam-"So you didn't attack these two?"
Elise-"Well... I did attack the robed deer folk, but she deserved it, she kidnapped me and Marigold"
Damion-"Is this Magnus?"
Joe and Adam turn around to look at the unconscious body of Prince Magnus who is covered in cuts and blood.
Joe-"That totally is Magnus, what happened?"
Adam-"You said you got kidnapped; how?"
Elise-"Look at the wall"
Adam, Joe, and Damion look at the building wall. They see the square shaped hole that Elise and Marigolds room was taken out.
Joe-"She took the whole room?"
Marigold-"Well, her and one other person"
Adam-"Where's the other, did they get away"
Marigold-"Well um, Magnus... took care of them"
Damion-"What's he doing here?"
Marigold-"We don't know, after he fired a beam at the other kidnapper he fell unconscious from his wounds. Where's Julius, he can heal him so that we can find out"
Joe-"Julius isn't here, he floated off to explore the island. Don't you have any healing skills?"
Marigold-"I do, I just wanted to see if Julius would do it in case Magnus ends up attacking us"
Elise-"Julius sure did pick a good time to go sight seeing"
Marigold-"I'll heal Magnus, just be ready to fight if he decides to attack us"
Adam draws his sword that he grabbed before he jumped out the window. Joe didn't grab his bow so he just summons and arrow that he can throw, Damion sets up a dark magic spell while Elise charges up a plasma blast.
Marigold-"Healing skill: heal others"
Marigold uses her healing skill on Magnus. His wounds start to close up and his body is filled with more fresh blood. After a few seconds of healing he opens his eyes and starts to stand on his feet.
Adam-"Long time no see"
Prince Magnus rubs his forehead, looks at the group and sighs.
Prince Magnus-"... great you idiots are here. But since you are..."
Prince Magnus groans.
Prince Magnus-"I don't want to say this but, I need your help"
