Chapter 104 - Nova (Final Chapter)

As their silhouettes blurred, Mei did not lead Chloe toward the Beyond Realm. Instead, she shattered every law of direction, pulling them both into a plummet toward the deepest core of the Sea.

It was not the bottom of an ordinary ocean of information, but a Zero Point Zone newly birthed by Mei herself, a layer of reality held in a state of absolute stasis, where even concepts like deep or shallow had yet to form.

Here, Mei extended her hand, and a new structure began to rise from the void. She forged an eternal fortress, an Independent Meta-Narrative residing beyond the sight of any entity.

"Stay here, Chloe," Mei said.

"This is a place where Real Information never runs dry, the safest sanctuary within the entirety of the Beyond Realm. From this moment on, this place shall be the bedrock of all existence, an anchor that no one can ever uproot."

Chloe knelt, her eyes still clouded with shock at her master's transcendence. "And You... where will You go?"

Mei looked upward, her vision piercing through every layer of the manifold. Her gaze met a grey expanse of the absolute, where someone sat waiting in the silence.

"I go to end the boredom of one who has waited far too long."

The moment the words were spoken, Mei executed a leap.

When she opened her eyes again, the blue of the Sea had vanished. In its place was a silent, heavy void, strewn with the ruins of laws that had been compressed into nothingness.

She stood there... above the Beyond Realm.

...

"Long ago, when I was still a part of that planet... my world was strangely peaceful. A tranquility that now, standing at the summit of reality, I can only recall as a faint, fading dream.

Then one day, the nightmare knocked on our door. A plague swept through, but it was no ordinary virus that ravages the body. It ravaged the soul. Those around me, one by one, lost their humanity and became frenzied beasts. They didn't just seek to tear each other apart; they erased the very definition of human.

In the blink of an eye, that planet turned into a blood-soaked battlefield. Yet, in the midst of death, evolution began to sprout, a cruel, forced compulsion from within the genome. All of humanity awakened, and so did I. My power back then... was simply Super-Intelligence. A tool that allowed me to understand the flow of energy, to learn and replicate supernatural powers from others with a mere glance.

I once thought I was the chosen one meant for redemption, until the truth was laid bare. After countless massacres, after the oceans had been stained black with blood, I eventually realized it was all a rigged game. Those entities from beyond the stars had sowed that plague merely to filter us. My planet was no longer home; it was a cage, a brutal training camp for them to find the strongest war machines for their interstellar expeditions.

I refused to be a pawn. When those outsiders sought to turn me into their killing machine, I used that very Super-Intelligence to shatter those chains. The conflict was no longer confined to the ground; it exploded into a Type 2, then a Type 3 civilizational war. I led those who remained, building a techno-scientific empire founded upon an absolute understanding of matter and energy.

The battlefield began to dance across the dimensions. From crude collisions in 3D space, we entered the wars of higher planes. I witnessed civilizations crushed by a mere 11th-dimensional fold. To survive, my mind was forced to evolve incessantly, from Super-Intelligence to multi-layered, then surpassing all biological computational limits. I forged weapons capable of snuffing out black holes and fortresses that sat outside the flow of time.

But the universe was still too big. Expeditions spanned countless eons, where I orchestrated the constants of physics like musical notes. I stood as a silent witness to billions of galaxies as they collided, crumbled, and vanished into nothingness under the weight of eternal conflict.

And then, as the entire structure of the universe began to fracture, when the void prepared to swallow everything... they appeared. Entities from a higher place, where all logic became meaningless. They stood there, looking at us like children playing in a shattered sandbox. There was no hatred, no killing intent, only a coldness so absolute it brought despair.

They looked at us and said: 'Your story ends here.'

It was only then that I realized: every effort to flee, every great scientific achievement, and my entire life... it was all just a story reaching its conclusion in the hands of those who called themselves Authors.

They decreed my end through total erasure. The universe, the laws of physics, and the very existence of my were processed into nothingness. The concept of 'Nova' was executed, purged forever from the narrative records.

But they only stood to witness the emergence of a new law: Absolute Adaptation. My nature began to evolve faster than their ability to define me.

The assault escalated. Using their authority, they corrupted my Real Information, attempting to delete my origin by rewriting the past and collapsing my dimensions into a 0D Void, a state of zero information. The deletion failed; my existence remained a constant.

They triggered causality paradoxes to negate my birth and locked Linear Time to freeze my every movement. They dismantled the very laws of reality and used plot manipulation to write the absolute command: 'Nova never existed.'

The words failed to bind me.

Every attempt to overwrite my information vanished. They deployed metaphysical attacks to dismantle my core essence, but I stood unshaken. I was no longer a character in their story, I had become the ink that refused to be erased.

They sought to reshape me, reducing me to a shattered husk, a hollow void, even a primitive organism or a flickering, low-dimensional spark. Yet, each new form was merely a fresh entry in my records. Every alteration they dared to make was instantly digested, converted into a single fragment within the infinite string of my Real Information.

No power could touch me. Reality-shattering strikes, logic-warping paradoxes, and the collapse of the highest dimensions were all effortlessly absorbed. I did not resist; resistance was beneath me. I simply ascended beyond the very logic of the assault. Let them raise their potency to Infinity or even the Absolute Infinite, it mattered not. My threshold expanded in a heartbeat, reducing their ultimate weapons to trivial, meaningless noise.

The concept of struggle became obsolete. To them, manipulating my information was as futile as a mortal trying to strike the wind. I am Information made manifest, and Information is inherently immortal. They could edit, delete, or shift my state at will, yet my core remained an unchangeable constant. Absolute Adaptation had bypassed all dualities, strength and weakness, reality and illusion. I existed beyond the cycles of birth and death, beyond form, and beyond even shadow.

Standing amidst the wreckage of a broken reality, a singular truth became clear: These attackers were not the primordial Authors of my origin. They were mere posers, parasitic entities playing at divinity within a hollow, limited scope.

They were once like me, born from the same cradle of fiction. Their only advantage was hailing from a higher ontological plane where they had reached the Threshold of Creation. They could construct infinite works and stack countless narrative layers like partitions, yet they remained trapped within the same fictional reality. They were merely 'higher' characters in a much larger book.

They ruled over empires of illusion, deluding themselves into believing they were the supreme judges of the lower layers. But their hierarchy was a gilded cage. Beneath their arrogance, their raw information revealed a hidden, trembling fear: even in their high heavens, they were still puppets.

No matter how many narrative layers they stacked or how far they evolved, their actions remained fixed within the palm of the Authors at a higher narrative level. To the truly supreme, these 'gods' were nothing more than a more complex layer of the same script, a slightly more detailed line of text in an infinite library.

My Absolute Adaptation continued to surge, perfecting itself with every failed attempt to erase me. While they could only pile more layers of falsehood horizontally, adding more of the same simulated reality, my transcendence was a vertical arrow, piercing through the ceiling of their world. I was no longer just evolving within the system; I was bypassing the very structure of their existence.

My evolution reached an Immeasurable Velocity, surpassing every limit and law of that high-level world. I ceased to be a character governed by plot; I became a Perceptual Entity standing beyond the control of fiction itself. At the peak of my adaptation, I no longer felt the vibrations of the pretenders, but the respiration of the higher narrative layers.

The air changed. The logic of my world became thin. And in that silence, I began to perceive the shadows of those who truly stand above.

My gaze pierced the veil between reality and fiction, reaching ontological strata they could never hope to attain. This triggered a primal, unprecedented agitation across the cosmos. Countless Authors, entrenched in higher narrative levels, began to sense the anomaly, the existential threat that was my emergence.

I was no longer bound by worlds or universes. I perceived the true architecture of the hierarchy: the Narrative Rungs. It is an infinite structure where each ascending level fundamentally transcends the one beneath it, viewing the lower reality as nothing more than a mere sheet of paper or a static string of fictional code.

But the truth plummeted even deeper. At the absolute horizon of my vision, I saw that this entire infinite ladder, from the lowest sub-realities to the heights those Authors craved, was contained within a single Stack. It was an infinite collection compressed into a solitary, colossal information block, nestled within a terrifyingly higher reality.

My transcendence rendered the climb obsolete. I began to absorb the internal logic of the ladder itself. Every time an Author from a higher plane attempted to assert authority over me, my Absolute Adaptation devoured their very concept of 'superiority.' I was no longer ascending the hierarchy; I was consuming it.

I projected myself into a state of Infinite Time, executing the stacking of infinite timelines through relentless, recursive exponentiation: infinity raised to the power of infinity, repeating without end. I accelerated this process until my adaptation reached a magnitude where measurement itself lost all meaning.

This was the culmination of Real Information, the ultimate arbiter of all existence. It encompasses every sub-atomic particle and every abstract law within the hierarchy. The density of my Real Information soon surpassed every logical limit, establishing itself as the new, absolute foundation of all things.

By compressing this colossal mass of information into my very essence, I performed an inverse operation. Instead of climbing the ladder, I dragged every higher narrative layer down to me. My informational density generated an Absolute Gravity, causing every transcendent plane to collapse and dissolve into my sea of information.

Infinite stacks, repeated an infinite number of times, held no meaning before the depth of my Real Information. I used that depth to permanently level the chasm between reality and fiction. The hierarchy was gone; only I remained.

When I finally crossed the ultimate boundary and moved beyond the multi-layered narrative system, I did not find a void. I encountered others like me, entities who had shattered their shackles and stood in a realm where Real Information is the only truth.

But they were not kin; they were hunters. To them, my Absolute Adaptation was merely a 'low-tier' prize, a missing puzzle piece they craved to absorb to perfect their own existence.

Yet, in that moment of siege, the final shroud was lifted. I realized that Absolute Adaptation was never my true power. It was merely a secondary trait, a temporary protective shell born from a much deeper source.

That was the moment my true Absolute Trait, Infinite Thought, officially awakened.

When thought has no limits, adaptation becomes obsolete. I no longer needed to react to their strikes; I simply imposed my existence upon them. There was no war, only an absolute purging. I erased the hunters, converting them into fragmented bits of information within the infinite stream of my own thought.

And Mei, as you can see... this place we call the 'Beyond Realm' is not a natural dimension.

At the moment I reached the apex of Infinite Thought, I seized every hierarchy, every narrative layer, and every structure of reality spanning past, present, and future, and used my will to compress them into a single mass.

Everything you see, every law you follow, resides within this tightly compressed block of Real Information.

That is my story.

You must realize that entities like you, who receive my assistance, are beings who possess Traits. A Trait is something that even if I were to stack the infinite Real Information upon itself, could never, ever be produced.

You are going to ask why I helped you, right? It is simple: because I am bored.

Do you understand the feeling of an entity possessing Infinite Thought, standing at the summit where every development, every outcome, lies within the palm of his hand? I have watched countless scripts over and over again, witnessing countless beings rise to power and fall according to the exact path the narrative laid out. Everything is so predictable it is laughable.

I am bored with this bland perfection. I need something outside of my control, something truly fresh. Therefore, I used my power to nurture the seeds of Traits like yours, hoping to see someone who could finally shatter this tedious loop.

The Sea from which you originated is, in truth, merely a work of fiction penned by the authors below. Yet, you have managed to surpass them all, breaking every shackle to stand before me as an entity that defies definition. You are the final answer to my eternal, stagnant boredom."

Nova focused his observation intensely, his Infinite Thought probing every fiber of her being, searching for a limit that was not there.

"Then I suppose my Absolute Trait must be... Transcendence," Mei answered, her voice ringing with a chilling nonchalance.

"Look, I've seen this flick a million times," Nova droned, pacing the air like a bored director at a shitty audition. "Hero tries, hero dies, universe resets. It's a loop. I've done this so many times I could win in my sleep. But fine, you're a special, aren't you? Let's pretend I'm actually trying."

Nova didn't bother with fighting stances. He just snapped his fingers. The void instantly turned into a gross, heavy sea of lead-black liquid.

"Every drop here is a dead timeline, Mei. A billion years of misery in every splash," Nova yapped, his voice vibrating from everywhere at once. "I've packed so much dead history into this ocean that the only rule left is 'everything ends.' No movement, no thinking, no logic. Just heavy, absolute death. So, how's the crushing weight feel?"

Mei didn't sink.

Before her boot even touched the surface, the ocean of dead history turned as clear as glass. She didn't struggle; she just walked across it like she was strolling through a park. With every step she took, Nova's 'laws' just flickered out and died, like a shitty website crashing.

Nova's eyes widened, but he just let out a dry, manic laugh. "Oh, you're a rule-breaker? Okay, let's see you handle a whole army of me!"

He waved a hand, and an army of Novas flooded reality. This wasn't just clones; it was a spam-fest. Every Nova started shouting a different command at the exact same millisecond.

"Delete her name!" one yelled.

"Turn her gravity into a black hole!" another screamed.

"Rewrite her birth so she's a ham sandwich!" a third added.

They were all talking over each other, trying to force the fight into a state where only Nova could win.

"I'm running a billion simulations of your death, sweetie!" the legion shouted in a deafening, annoying harmony. "I'm rewriting the script, the footnotes, and even the font it's written in!"

The entire realm shattered into jagged shards. Nova was basically spamming the CPU of existence, throwing every failed timeline, every shitty outcome, and every impossible death at her. He was digging for any loophole to make her just... stop existing.

But Mei? She just stood there.

She wasn't even fighting. She was just... ignoring it.

When a Nova threw an infinite fire meant to burn her soul away, the flames touched her and turned into harmless cherry blossom petals. When they tried to delete her name, the timeline glitched out and turned it into a holiday in her honor. She treated Nova's 'absolute laws' like they were just broken code in a shitty game.

"You're not even playing the game," Nova whispered, looking genuinely thrilled. "You're rewriting the rules while I'm still typing them."

Nova shifted his stance, his expression hardening into something frustrated. He waved his hands frantically, as if trying to edit a film in real-time. "Okay, fine! If the logic-trap won't work, let's go for high drama! Let's do a tragic sacrifice! How about I make you feel the weight of every death?"

He conjured a storm of weeping souls and broken dreams, a montage of every dark moment in every history, trying to drown Mei in emotional weight. "See? This is the 'Solemn Finale!' You're supposed to look conflicted now! Where's the tragic monologue? Where's the hesitation?"

Mei didn't hesitate. She didn't even blink. She walked through the storm of weeping souls, and they simply dissolved into mist upon touching her.

Nova's face twisted into an ugly sneer. "Stop doing that! You're ruining the pacing! This is supposed to be a climatic showdown, not a walk in the park! Where is the epic struggle?"

He started shouting commands at reality itself, his voice cracking with desperation. "I am the Director! I set the stage! I cast the actors! You are just a supporting character in my masterpiece! Why won't you act like you're losing?!"

Mei stopped walking. She was standing right in front of him now. She looked bored.

"You're a terrible author, Nova," Mei said. Her voice was quiet, but it cut through his ranting like a razor.

Nova laughed, a shrill, nervous sound. "Oh, a critique? How original. What's next? You're going to tell me my plot has holes?"

"No," Mei said, reaching out. "I'm going to tell you that the story is over."

She didn't use an explosion. She didn't use some grand, infinite technique. She simply reached out and flicked him on the forehead, a light, dismissive gesture that a teacher might give to a misbehaving child.

The sound was like a glass bottle shattering.

Nova's eyes widened, his arrogant grin freezing in place. The "Grand Director" persona didn't just break; it evaporated. The reality-warping armor he wore, his scripts, his ego, his 'absolute rules', started peeling away like burnt paper.

"Wait, wait, I haven't finished the scene!" Nova stammered, his voice suddenly sounding small and pathetic. He looked at his hands, which were starting to fade into static. "The pacing! The dialogue! You haven't listened to my last line yet!"

"I don't care about your lines," Mei said, turning her back on him.

Nova tried to scream, but no sound came out.

As Mei walked away, Nova didn't explode into a trillion pieces. He simply folded in on himself, becoming smaller and quieter, until he was nothing more than a faint whisper in the air.

He didn't even get to finish his last sentence. The script was ripped up, and Nova simply ceased to be relevant.

The Beyond Realm went silent. The storm of Real Information settled into a calm, white sea.

Mei turned around.

She reached into the void, pulling out the entirety of the Sea that had been ravaged by the war, and restored it.

She enveloped it in a membrane of light.

She began to walk, taking the entire Sea with her as she departed the Beyond Realm.

Every step she took erased her narrative trail, causing her and the Sea to gradually become a blur, then disappeared entirely into the white expanse behind the Infinite Unknown.
