Iskander didn't answer right away. He walked over to Yohana and gently but firmly took her arm to guide her back to the bed.
"You shouldn't be standing," he said in a low voice. "Sit down before you open your stitches."
Yohana pushed his hand away, refusing to move. The pain in her side was nothing compared to the storm brewing in her mind. "Don't ignore me, Iskander! Why is Sam here? Why did he hire those rogue wolves? Does my brother know about this?"
Marvin stepped into the room behind Iskander. He looked at his brother, waiting for a signal on how much to reveal.
Iskander sighed, realizing there was no point in lying to her anymore. She had already heard the most important parts, and filled in to her that happened till now.
"Your brother doesn't know," Iskander finally said, locking his eyes with hers. "But his wife does. Flora is the one who funded the attack. Sam was just the one executing her orders here. She must be after you because what I did to Vincent."
