Aksai twisted around a rocky outcrop and abruptly changed direction.
The chain adjusted its trajectory.
He shot upward, broke through the surface, and flew toward the clouds.
The chain followed him again.
It was as though the weapon possessed a will of its own. No matter how abruptly Aksai changed direction or how cleverly he tried to exploit his surroundings, the chain remained locked onto him.
Worse still, it was getting faster.
Aksai's expression darkened.
He increased his speed and attempted several evasive maneuvers, darting between the rocky formations scattered around the island's periphery. He even used a Spirit Spell to distort his trajectory at the last moment, hoping to make the pursuing weapon overshoot him.
It didn't work.
The sword chain curved through the air with unnatural precision, closing the distance with every passing moment.
Fucccck! Is this a 4th Order Spell?
Aksai gritted his teeth and pushed his cultivation to its limits.
