What Shen Biran found hardest to make sense of was Gu Qingyuan's thinking. Gu Qingyuan had always thought that way, consistently, in a way that was unbearable, that left people feeling utterly at a loss.
Should he really be explaining his own problems like this? If he explained everything clearly, then of course there'd be no issue, but if he really didn't explain things this way, then how was he supposed to look at the problem?
Gu Qingyuan clearly knew that if he did this it would make it impossible for Shen Biran and Gu Xiaonuan to ever forgive him, yet he still went ahead and did it.
As if by doing this, nothing bad could possibly happen at all. But what came after, only he himself knew, and only he knew why things turned out like that.
Shen Biran often wondered, if she and Gu Qingyuan could start their past all over again, would she still choose to trust Gu Qingyuan?
