Chapter 315: Girl, Time to Honor the Promise (Part 1)
"Sister Bingbing, we missed!" In Pretty Elf Squad's channel, Chenchen's expression changed drastically. She was better with an M4, but her AWP skills weren't bad either—in countless matches she had sniped players using bunny hops, spin jumps, or quick-peeks. But Zhang Yang didn't use any jump at all. He just showed half his body and instantly pulled back.
Yet in that fraction of a second, he shot Lili—still midair—clean out of the sky, while both her own and Sister Bingbing's shots missed entirely.
No fancy technique. Just speed. Human reaction speed caps at around 0.2 seconds, and with keyboard and mouse delay, beyond good hardware, all that's left is personal reflex and hand speed.
Clearly, [I'm God]'s reaction and hand speed completely crushed both of them. It was absurd. If he were just stronger than her, fine—but Sister Bingbing was different. She was the team's professional-level sniper.
Her skill wasn't inferior to real professionals. Players using super spin-jumps, bunny hops, long jumps, or lightning-fast peeks weren't even a challenge for her—yet this guy didn't use any technique. He solved everything with pure speed. And his speed was terrifying.
"Our computers, keyboards, and mice are better than pro setups. Hardware-wise, we've maxed our advantage. But under these conditions…" Chenchen's voice sounded heavy.
"Finish the others first…" Bingbing remained calm.
As she spoke, Zixuan's group pushed A long.
All four of them came out of A gate together—but quickly learned how terrifying Tutu's skill was. With just a Desert Eagle and an AWP, she wiped all four.
Her strength was so overwhelming that Liu Zixuan's group nearly spat blood. The gap was too huge.
They had scrimped to buy AK47s and armor, ready to go all out this round—but ended up like this.
Especially Jinglan—she didn't even fire a single bullet before getting headshotted, and that was with a Desert Eagle.
After dying…
Her pretty face turned red with fury. She completely dropped her usual obedient princess demeanor, yanked off her headset, and ran to Zhang Yang. Staring at the screen through gritted teeth, she slapped her full chest angrily while panting, saying, "I'm so mad, so mad! I'm going to die from anger! That… that Tutu is too awful! You MUST avenge me. Best if you stab her to death. I'm furious…"
"Yes, stab her…" Liu Zixuan and the others all stood up, slapping keyboards and pounding their mice.
They were raging. Too outrageous. Four of them surrounding a sniper at close-to-mid range and still getting wiped? What kind of bullshit was that?
Their frustration quickly turned into hope.
Because Zhang Yang had already slipped into B tunnels silently. As though he had predicted Chenchen's rotation path, he hid behind a crate. Chenchen thought he was camping mid and crept into tunnels with a knife—only to get ambushed immediately.
Once she died and saw Zhang Yang was hiding behind a crate, she snapped. This guy was shameless—so strong and still playing dirty tactics. Crying in frustration, she yelled in channel, "Sister Bingbing, you HAVE to avenge me! This guy is too awful—hiding behind crates to ambush! He might've gone back to mid!"
"Ambushing?"
"Yes! Hiding behind crates! Who knew he was so low? What kind of professional plays an amateur match using such scummy tactics?"
"Got it… wait, I see him. He's going to A long…"
"Sister Bingbing, it's only you left…"
"Uh…"
"Bang!" A shot rang out—but no kill notification appeared. Pretty Elf Squad's channel tensed instantly. "Sister Bingbing, what happened?"
Silence. After a moment, Bingbing's low voice came through: "I hit him… but only in the leg. He's not dead."
"Then he's low HP, Sister Bingbing!" the girls cheered.
"I'm not doing much better…" To their surprise, even calm and composed Bingbing was gritting her teeth. "That bastard tried to stab me… I've got less than twenty HP left."
"Thump! Thump!" Chairs toppled. Yan Xichen, who had just calmed down, spat out her mouthful of water.
"Sister Bingbing, what did you say? He tried to stab you?"
"Yes. I thought he was on the slope, but he hid somewhere outside my vision and rushed me with a knife. That lunatic. I won't forgive him."
"Found him… that lunatic is ambushing again… ah—bang! bang!"
After a roar in the channel, everything went quiet.
No one had to say a word. The killfeed showed it clearly—Tutu was dead, and the weapon was a knife.
Pretty Elf Squad members instinctively covered their faces…
"Cheating! They MUST be cheating!" Sisi screamed. "I'm asking the referee to check!"
"Sisi… um… we're hosting the server. How can they cheat?" Chenchen said helplessly.
"Then what do we do? We can't lose!" The channel exploded.
"Yes, what do we do?"
"Enough. If we're weaker, we're weaker. Fix your mindset and finish the last round," Bingbing said calmly.
"There IS no next round, Sister Bingbing… you don't know…" Sisi said irritably. "Losing one round means we lose everything."
"Uh… we can't actually strip, right?" Yingying asked with a trembling voice.
"Strip? What's going on?" Bingbing's voice instantly sharpened—clearly she had been kept in the dark.
"Well…" Lili stammered for a long time. Silence fell. No one dared tell the truth.
"Chenchen, you say it. What's going on?"
"Sister Bingbing… we made a bet with them for this match…" Chenchen hesitated, then explained.
"WHAT?" Bingbing's voice changed. "How could you agree to something so ridiculous?!"
"W-we didn't think we'd lose!" Lili finally spoke. "Forget it. Let's just admit defeat. Give them money and send them away."
"Will they accept?" Yingying asked nervously.
"Hmph. If they don't, they get nothing. Sisi, didn't your brother work in IT? Have him find their address. Also, isn't Xi Chen Jinglan there? She's your brother's fiancée. Let your future sister-in-law pass the message." Lili said casually.
"Lili, Jinglan stopped acknowledging that engagement a year ago. Why do you think she ran away from home? Asking her to pass the message would just humiliate me," Sisi said unhappily.
"Ah, that happened too? Forget it. We can still dig up their info. I'll negotiate myself."
…
Both sides entered a Penguin group chat and turned on video. Lili stated her proposal.
"What? Fifty thousand?" After Lili relayed her message, everyone on Zhang Yang's side was outraged. They had been promised stripping.
"If you think it's too little, a hundred thousand works too…" Lili said coolly.
"Sorry, but we're not short on money. Please honor the pre-match promise," Liu Zixuan said with a cold smile.
"Tch… what promise?" Lili's face turned ugly. "What promise did we supposedly make?"
"Oh? Trying to weasel out of it?" Zhang Yang smiled.
"Weasel out? Do you have proof?" Lili said smugly. The bet was spoken only over voice chat. No text. What could they do?
"Proof? Sorry, we recorded everything from the start of the chat."
Lili froze, then sneered. "Really? Then play it."
She didn't believe it one bit. How could those amateurs have predicted they would win and planned a recording? He must be bluffing.
But to her shock, Zhang Yang immediately played the recording.
"Pfft!"
Not only did her teammates fall silent, even Liu Zixuan's group stared wide-eyed. Was this guy psychic? He even thought to record everything in advance.
"You're awful! Secretly recording us!" Pretty Elf Squad members jumped up.
"Come on, if I didn't record it, we'd have no proof at all now. Ladies, don't forget—your faces are all on video. I'm sure entertainment reporters would be VERY interested."
At his words, the girls immediately fell apart—some blushing furiously, some nearly in tears. How could this man be so terrible? They were pampered heiresses and beauties—couldn't he show a little mercy?
Didn't he have even a shred of pity for beautiful women?
"What do you want? If you want money, we'll pay. Name your price," Lili said, panicked. She wasn't afraid of voice recordings—but appearing on video was another story. If it leaked, she was done.
"Miss, if you had won, wouldn't you have wanted US to strip? Oh right—I recall someone even wanting me to shave… something?"
Lili went speechless, then angry. "Don't push your luck! Since you know who we are, you should know the consequences of offending us. And don't forget—we can track your IPs. If you're smart, delete that video. We'll give you a hundred thousand. Pretend nothing happened."
"Is that a threat?"
"Damn right. Call it a threat or a negotiation—I don't care. Make me mad and see if you survive the Lantern Festival."
"A toad yawning—such big breath!" Even Liu Zixuan couldn't listen anymore. "Enough. Just you wait."
"You brat, we've already recorded your face. Be smart and—"
"Stop. So what you mean is—you want to use a hundred thousand to settle this, right?" Zhang Yang said calmly.
"Correct. If that's not enough, we can discuss two hundred thousand."
"Then negotiations have failed. Expect tomorrow's internet to be full of news."
"You wouldn't dare…" Lili was losing her mind. This brat dared talk to her like this.
"Lili!" At the height of the argument, a voice cut in. "Enough. This incident is our fault first. Since we made a promise, fulfilling it is only natural."
She hadn't turned on her camera yet, but Zhang Yang glanced at her ID—one character: Ice.
Then she turned on her video.
