Early in the morning, Minmin's mother walked briskly into the hospital with a scowl on her face, holding a swollen bag, huffing and puffing after getting off the bus.
Minmin followed beside her, glancing at her mother's expression, and then whispered:
"Mom, can you change your expression a bit?"
She was supposed to visit a patient, but her face looked like she was visiting an enemy. It might have been better not to come at all.
Minmin's mother snorted disdainfully: "Let me tell you, if it weren't for you having your eye on Ling Qi, your father and I would never agree to you marrying into such a family."
"Look at your future mother-in-law. In today's world, who ends up in the hospital trying to save money on air conditioning costs?! Let me tell you, if you live with her in the future, you'll have a hard time."
Just thinking about it made Minmin's mom angry.
