"Did you catch them?" Yang Ruxin frowned.
Du Yunpeng shook his head, "Mark and Gu Can didn't find a trace, it's as if this person didn't exist."
"Then what's the situation with Meng Keran?"
"Meng Keran is Du Yunsheng's wife. She was pregnant at the time and begged me while crying, so I softened a bit."
Yang Ruxin raised her eyebrows slightly.
"Madam, this actually wasn't my husband's fault; it was the mother-in-law who softened her heart, thinking a pregnant woman didn't deserve to die." Du Juan defended Du Yunpeng generously, "She even asked my opinion. I didn't want to be so cruel, so we spared Meng Keran, but who knew she'd be as sticky as gum?"
"What happened to her child?"
"She lost it." Du Juan shrugged.
"Did she want to be your concubine?" Yang Ruxin looked at Du Yunpeng with a teasing expression.
"She wanted to be my maid." Du Yunpeng shook his head, "The close kind."
"You're something too." Yang Ruxin frowned at Du Juan, "Why keep someone like that around?"
