When Li Xinyuan put his foot in his mouth, unintentionally, and agreed to make reparations to the Heavenly Demon in any feasible — and personally agreeable — manner, he had not done that with expectations of being hauled back to the Heavenly Demon Cult ranges.
Anyhow, being back to this place was hardly something he refused to do. The Cult was not half-bad, in his — admittedly scarce — previous experience with the time he'd been all but abducted here a while ago.
Regardless of the intent, this achieved two of his goals at the same time.
For one, he could do a long awaited check on Cheon Yerin while doing whatever the Heavenly Demon needed him for. Two birds and one stone.
Pleased with how things turned out, Li Xinyuan exited the carriage, the human face mask long discarded once they were on the journey back from the war; and a new carefully carved hairpin in his hair.
