Chapter 502 - Chapter 602-603 – Hit the Ground, Enel

Whitey Bay: "That version of Conis… yeah, she looks really good. Looks like I ought to get myself some black stockings too."

Domino: "No clue whether they'd suit me, but Arton definitely seems to like them. Problem is, hardly anywhere sells them."

Stussy: "Black stockings are still too niche in this world. Even I've only collected fishnets."

Smoothie: "Still, niche or not, it looks like we need to start stocking up. It'd be a waste not to make proper use of these long legs of ours."

Cinnamon: "Exactly!"

Cinnamon agreed with her sister completely.

As members of the Longleg Tribe, their greatest asset was probably these long legs of theirs.

Since Arton was clearly into the way Conis looked in black stockings, there was no way he wouldn't like the sight of Longleg women wearing them too.

Cinnamon didn't even dare imagine how much Arton would like seeing her and Smoothie in black stockings.

As for disliking it? Not a chance.

If Arton didn't like that look on her and Smoothie, then the fanworks he made of them wouldn't have included scenes of the two of them wearing stockings in the first place.

At first, Cinnamon hadn't paid much attention to the fanworks where she and her sister wore stockings.

After all, there were just as many where they weren't wearing stockings—where they weren't wearing anything at all, but now, as Arton kept revealing more and more of what he liked, Cinnamon would've looked down on herself if she still couldn't figure out why he'd created those versions of her.

At this point, she was already starting to wonder whether the tailors back home could make that kind of clothing.

Skypiea.

The moment Enel saw the change in Conis, his sense of danger exploded.

Without hesitating, he swung a lightning-wreathed fist straight at her, but against an attack that would've terrified any ordinary Skypiean, Conis didn't feel even the slightest fear.

She quickly strummed the guitar in her hands, and a huge amount of lightning began gathering around her.

Not only that—even the lightning covering Enel's body started flowing toward Conis.

It began with the giant lightning fist.

Then, little by little, all the lightning on Enel's body started peeling away from him.

In just a few seconds, the gigantic thunder god form Enel had taken vanished completely, and he was back to normal.

"H-How is that possible?!"

That voice didn't just belong to Enel.

Gan Fall and Wyper had cried out too.

They'd figured Conis might win.

They just never imagined she'd win like this.

A moment ago, they'd been bracing themselves for a fight that would shake heaven and earth, and then it just… ended like that.

They weren't mentally prepared at all.

Of course, the one least prepared for it was Enel.

"You… how can you use m-my power…?"

Enel stared blankly at Conis, so stunned he forgot to turn elemental, and that let Conis's guitar smack him clean in the head.

"So you wanted to destroy Skypiea and then run off to Endless Vearth."

"You bastard—just lie down already!"

Conis raised the guitar high and smashed it down on Enel's head again and again.

In the end, under Conis's overwhelming strength, Enel lost consciousness and collapsed to the ground.

"So… that's it? She won?" Wyper smacked his lips and muttered to himself.

He still hadn't fully recovered from what he'd just seen.

"That's right. She won just like that," Raki said with a smile, patting Wyper on the shoulder.

"…Man. That's great." Wyper let out a long breath.

He wasn't the one who beat Enel but just seeing that bastard Enel lose was enough to make him happy.

Still, when he remembered the agreement he'd made with Gan Fall earlier, he turned toward him with some concern.

"Don't worry," Gan Fall said seriously. "Since I already made an agreement with you, I'll honor it."

"No matter what, I'm glad to hear you say that." Wyper nodded, then looked toward where Conis and Arton were standing. "In that case, let's head over. There are some things I want to talk to Arton about."

Gan Fall nodded too. He also had a few things he wanted to discuss with Arton, but at that moment, Raki pressed a hand to both of their shoulders.

Under Wyper's and Gan Fall's puzzled looks, she shook her head and said, "Let Arton talk with his companions first. You two can go over in a bit."

As she spoke, she looked toward the nearby woods.

Sure enough, Nami, Nojiko, Robin, and the others—who had been hiding there for a while—finally came out, smiling as they walked toward Arton and Conis.

Wyper and Gan Fall both nodded instinctively.

Right. The fight had just ended. Of course they'd want to share that joy with their own people first.

If the two of them barged in now, it'd only ruin the mood, but when they saw Raki move past them and head toward Arton and Conis just like Nico Robin and the others, both Wyper and Gan Fall couldn't help looking confused.

"Raki, didn't you just say his companions should talk with him first?" Wyper asked. "Then what are you going over there for?"

"Hehe, did you already forget what I told you before?" Raki smiled, sounding completely matter-of-fact. "I'm going to travel the Blue Sea with Arton from now on."

"That means I'm one of Arton's companions too."

Wyper: "…"

"Well then, congratulations to all of you," Gan Fall said.

"Congratulations? For what?" Wyper frowned.

Now that Raki was gone, suddenly standing here beside Gan Fall felt a little awkward.

"Obviously, I mean congratulations to that girl for becoming Arton's companion," Gan Fall said. "Having a companion that strong is a very good thing."

"If you want to put it that way, then I should be congratulating your side too," Wyper replied. "You've got someone as strong as Conis now."

Sure, Arton had shown off impressive strength, but Conis had clearly stolen the show in that last fight.

Still, if you asked who was actually stronger, Wyper felt the answer was probably still Arton.

After all, Conis had basically followed Arton's lead the whole time.

Wyper had every reason to believe Arton still had even more ridiculous power he hadn't shown yet.

"Perhaps Conis's power came from that man," Gan Fall said, looking toward the two of them with a deeply emotional expression.

If Conis had possessed power like this before, there was no way Gan Fall wouldn't have noticed, and since her change only happened after Arton and his people arrived, Gan Fall naturally connected Conis's new strength to Arton.
