Chapter 93: Early May, Chaos Approaches!
The long-awaited May 1st had arrived.
The first morning sun rose, casting dazzling golden light across the school Yuto and the others attended. Under the pale gold sunlight, the campus shone like a clear pearl.
Warm morning light spilled through the apartment window and fell across Yuto's calm, handsome face. It seemed to gild him in gold, making his already striking features look even brighter.
Thanks to his biological clock, Yuto's eyelashes trembled slightly. Then he opened his eyes, still carrying a trace of sleepiness.
He blinked, and the drowsiness in his clear black-and-white eyes disappeared. Then he turned his head and looked at Sakura Airi, who lay on his right side.
Airi snuggled close, their breaths mingling. A faint, seductive blush lingered on her cheeks, and her features held the exquisite charm of a 'mature' woman.
Yuto admired her sweet sleeping face for a while. Then he gently moved her arm away from him and reached toward the bedside table to take his student ID.
Today was the start of the month, the day personal points were deposited. Yuto wanted to see whether his points had changed.
The personal points shown on Yuto's student ID were 18,747,565.
"No change at all. Looks like Class D's one thousand class points really have been fully deducted."
Yuto murmured those words.
A few days ago, Yuto had specifically asked Chabashira Sae about the exact time the school deposited personal points.
Chabashira had answered that, as long as nothing unexpected happened, every student's personal points were deposited at midnight.
It was already morning now, yet Yuto's points had not changed at all.
That meant Class D's class points had indeed been deducted down to zero.
Chabashira had already told Yuto her guess that Class D's class points might be completely deducted, so he had been mentally prepared. Seeing his unchanged points did not disappoint him much.
Besides, Yuto currently had many personal points.
Far too many.
Even if no points were deposited every month, he and Airi could still live comfortably in this school.
Yuto checking his points seemed to disturb Airi.
She blinked her eyes open, her face still flushed with a lingering, seductive glow from their intimacy.
Still half-asleep, Airi shifted her aching waist and leaned lazily against his shoulder.
"Yuto, you woke up so early today."
Airi's voice was like a dreamy murmur. It was soft, sweet, and slightly hoarse, adding a strange charm to it.
"Isn't today the day personal points are deposited? I was a little curious," Yuto casually explained.
"Oh, right!"
Airi immediately perked up. She tucked the red hair falling across her cheek behind her ear, then rubbed her face against Yuto's arm like she was acting spoiled.
"Yuto, can you go to my room and bring me my student ID? I want to see if my points increased."
"Sure."
Airi's personal points would also not have changed, but Yuto knew she wanted to confirm it herself, so he went along with her.
Yuto affectionately pinched Airi's still-blushing cheek, then lifted the blanket and got out of bed.
Airi, still lying in bed, stared unblinkingly at his exposed upper body, her heart racing at the sight of his well-defined abs.
No matter how many times she looked at him, she never got tired of it.
"What are you looking at, Airi?" Yuto asked with a smile.
"N-Nothing..." Airi answered shyly.
Wearing only sleep pants, Yuto left his room and went to Airi's. From her warm pink room, he found her student ID.
"Ah, my points really didn't change at all."
Lying softly on the bed, Airi looked troubled as she stared at her student ID. It showed 62,620 personal points.
In truth, it was already impressive that Airi still had more than sixty thousand points left.
If Airi had not treated Yuto to that eel meal, she would still have more than eighty thousand points.
Airi actually did not spend points in many places. She was personally very frugal, did not like buying unnecessary makeup, and did not like buying unneeded pretty clothes. The thing that cost the most points was her daily meals.
However, Airi's three meals were handled by Chabashira Sae.
As for the ingredients, Yuto gave them points, and Airi and Chabashira bought them together.
Yuto smiled and touched Airi's smooth cheek. "Are you worried about points? How much do you want? I'll transfer it to you."
"No need. I only wanted points so I could save them. Then, if you ever need points in the future, I can give them all to you."
Airi answered with a sweet smile.
In other words, Airi was thinking, 'I'll save points for Yuto and give everything to him later.'
If Yuto transferred his points to her, that would defeat the whole purpose.
Yuto loved this childhood friend whose heart held only him.
If Airi were not so worn out right now, he might have skipped his morning run.
Still, he gave her a kiss filled with affection.
Hah~
Yuto looked at Airi as she breathed out a sweet sigh. He smiled and said, "Airi, you know how many points I have. Why would you need to save points for me? Buy whatever you want."
"Mm."
Airi obediently nodded.
Yuto said goodbye to Airi, then went to wash up, change into sportswear, and go for his usual morning run.
After Yuto left the room, Airi could not help yawning sleepily. Then she closed her hazy eyes and continued sleeping to recover her strength.
It was only around six-thirty. Airi could sleep until eight, because the first class began at eight-forty-five.
As for Chabashira Sae, who brought breakfast and lunch for Yuto and Airi, she would place the food boxes on the wooden platform in the courtyard.
So Airi did not need to open the door.
Breathing in the scent Yuto had left behind, Airi once again drifted into sweet dreams.
Wearing sportswear, Yuto jogged to the school track.
By chance, Horikita Suzune, also wearing sportswear, came out from the other side of the track. After seeing Yuto, she naturally ran toward him.
"Good morning, Shimizu."
"Morning, Horikita."
Yuto casually answered Suzune, then looked at her.
Yuto's gaze made Suzune subconsciously touch her cheek. "Why are you looking at me like that? Is there something on my face?"
"No."
Yuto brushed it off.
It was the start of the month now, but Suzune had not asked Yuto about not receiving personal points.
Had she not checked the personal points on her student ID yet?
Or did she think the monthly personal points would only be deposited after class started?
"Shimizu, it's the start of the month now. The one month you promised me should be over, right?"
Suzune asked impatiently, "Shouldn't you explain what 'class points' are now?"
She had always remembered this matter.
"As for that, Chabashira-sensei should explain it during this morning's homeroom. After you listen to her explanation, ask me again if you still have any questions."
"...Fine."
Suzune answered gloomily.
For some reason, compared to Chabashira Sae's explanation, Suzune wanted Yuto to explain it to her more.
She did not know why.
Yuto and Suzune ran together.
An hour later, Yuto returned toward the detached apartment.
Unexpectedly, he saw Chabashira Sae's alluring mature figure on the wooden platform in the apartment courtyard.
"Chabashira-sensei, why are you still here?" Yuto asked in surprise.
Previously, Chabashira had always placed Yuto and Airi's breakfast and lunch boxes down and left. Yet now, she was still in the apartment courtyard.
Chabashira glanced at Yuto, who looked even sharper and more handsome in sportswear.
She slowly took a drag from her cigarette and exhaled.
"I'm here to confirm something with you, troublesome brat."
"What are you confirming?"
Yuto tilted his head.
"Shimizu, you previously promised me that you would do your best to lead Class D up to Class A, right?"
"That's right."
"A month has passed. It's time to reveal the information about class points. I'm looking forward to your next move."
"Then look forward to it. I won't disappoint you, Sae-chan."
Yuto smiled. "But there's something I need your help with."
Chabashira glared at the brat who had called her Sae-chan again.
"What do you need me to do?"
"It's the start of the month, so you're holding the regular homeroom, right? I want you to reveal that only Class A has a one hundred percent employment and advancement rate, then harshly belittle the Class D students."
"You don't need to tell me that. I already planned to do it."
Because of the school's orders, Chabashira had endured part of Class D's students for almost a month.
So even without Yuto asking, Chabashira had already decided to mock those students who still did not understand their situation during this morning's homeroom.
"That's all?"
"That's all. Sae-chan, belittle them as much as you want. I'll handle the rest," Yuto answered with a smile.
"Fine. I'm leaving. Don't be late."
"When have I ever been late? Sae-chan, you're leaving already? Don't you want to come in and sit for a while?"
Yuto pointed at the detached apartment.
"No."
Chabashira rejected him without hesitation.
Last month, Chabashira had brought Yuto and Airi's food boxes into the apartment.
But gradually, she chose to place them on the wooden platform instead.
Because every time Chabashira stepped into the apartment, she would see Airi's lingering blush.
That languid, satisfied expression made Chabashira feel utterly uncomfortable. As a pure woman, she simply couldn't bear to see Sakura-san looking so... fulfilled.
So gradually, Chabashira started placing the food boxes on the wooden platform and stopped entering the detached apartment where Yuto and Airi lived together.
Out of sight, out of mind.
Chabashira left the detached apartment with a cool, dignified air.
Yuto carried the four food boxes into the apartment and placed them on the dining room table.
Then he returned to his room and woke Airi, who was still sleeping sweetly.
"Uu~"
Airi yawned and remained dazed.
With Yuto's smiling help, the shy and happy Airi changed into her nightdress, then left the room with him.
Airi went to the bathroom to wash up.
Yuto showered, changed into his school uniform, and after eating breakfast, the two left the apartment together and headed toward the first-year school building.
Yuto and Airi entered the noisy Class D classroom one after the other.
As soon as Kei saw Yuto, she hurried over.
"Good morning, Yuto!"
"Morning, Kei."
"Yuto, did your points change? I asked everyone, and no one's points changed!"
Kei asked quickly while walking to their seats with Yuto.
"My points didn't change either," Yuto answered.
"I see. Does that mean the points will only be deposited after class starts?" Kei asked in confusion.
"Probably not."
Kushida Kikyo came to Yuto's side and said seriously, "I already asked my friends in the other classes. They all said they received personal points from the school."
Kei's friends were limited to Class D.
But Kikyo, this friendship expert, had friends across the entire first-year grade.
"But the strange thing is—"
"The Class A students received ninety-six thousand points."
"The Class B students received eighty-seven thousand points."
"The Class C students received forty-three thousand points."
Standing almost beside Yuto, Kikyo explained the point information she had gathered from friends in the other classes.
Yuto's seatmate, Suzune, also heard Kikyo's words, and her pretty face turned serious.
Suzune noticed two things that were wrong.
First, why had the other classes received points, while only Class D had not?
Second, why were the points deposited to students in Classes A, B, and C all different?
"Shimizu... Tch!"
Suzune wanted to tell Yuto the two problems she had noticed, but she realized Yuto had already been surrounded by Class D students.
Both boys and girls anxiously told him that they had not received any personal points from the school.
It was one thing for poor students not to receive personal points.
After all, they were late, left early, and skipped class all the time.
But they were good students who followed discipline.
Why had their personal points not been deposited either?
