Gamamaru took a deep breath and then his face turned serious as he ordered, " Ancestors help me vanquish this demoness who is destroying this world."
With Gamamaru's command the sages all sprang into action. Some sages brandished their weapons , some threw out S-class ninjutsu like they were nothing, and some simply used their natural energy to throw out energy beams.
While most of the sages attacked some weak and young sages quite distanced themselves and began to rescue the clansmen who were caught in the fight and also try to erect a sealing barrier that would trap Izanami for good.
Watching this display of perfect coordination, Izanami snorted. 'Heh these toads sure like to act like bigshots ' and so Izanami, without even using any handseals, waved her hands and crushed space.
And this space crack absorbed all the attacks. This also destroyed the barrier the toad sages just deployed.
This made the sages feel the pressure doubled. It's not that they didn't know about Izanami's power. After all, this kid was the first human in history to create her own senjutsu style that defied all common sense.
She is the progenitor of the human sage clan who rose to fame defeating her two older brothers and dominated an entire era by herself. And the Toad Clan, who had firm ties with the Sage of Six Paths, understood how formidable she was. That is why they went all out. But even then, they didn't expect that they still underestimated her.
" Now that you have made your move, it's my turn now " Izanami as a cold smile appeared on her face.
She took one step forward, and the scenery changed drastically. The sky turned purple, and time and space lost all meaning.
" Welcome to the Pure Land; I hope you will enjoy your permanent stay here " Izanami spoke as her hair turned white and her outfit changed to her queen form. Since they are in the pure land, Izanami can torture them as much as she wants.
Returning to her adult form, Izanami cracked her knuckles and took another step forward. Then two katanas appeared in her hands as Izanami spoke in her cold, indifferent voice.
" [Sun Breathing : Solar Halo Dragon Dance ] "
Dark flames bathed Izanami, making her look like a goddess of fire. And with another step, she disappeared from sight and appeared behind a young toad sage. Then the next second the sage was decapitated into two halves and dropped dead and turned into ashes after being devoured by the dark flames.
And Izanami disappeared again, and then soon another toad sage was killed again. And seeing their members were being cut down like trash, the older sages could no longer sit still. They tried to save these young sages, but ultimately under Izanami's blade, they could only feel intense despair.
Gamamaru, seeing their morale was dropping, knew that he had to do something. Otherwise, they might just become fish on the chopping block.
Gamamaru clapped his hands and took a deep breath and then shouted, " Water Style: Sea God's Judgment "
A stream of high-pressure water sprang from Gamamaru's mouth, heading straight towards Izanami.
Izanami sensing the attack stopped her slaughter and calmly turned around and swung her sword at the ninjutsu. The water attack was immediately evaporated by the dark flames.
The sight of the high-pressure water just turning into steam made a chill go down Gamamaru's spine. He had put almost all natural energy in his body into that attack, but against Izanami's dark flames, it was like a tiny drop of rain hitting a volcano.
"Is that all the Great Toad Sage can do?" Izanami's voice echoed through the space, sounding cold and scary.
She didn't give them a single second to rest. Her body moved so fast it was just a blur, and suddenly she was right in the middle of the older sages.
"Sun Breathing: Burning Bones, Summer Sun!"
Izanami swung her swords in a wide circle. The dark flames on her blades flared up, turning the air into an oven. The heat was so strong that the ground started to melt. Three older sages, who had lived for hundreds of years, didn't even have time to scream. The dark flames touched them, and in a second, they turned into ash and blew away.
"Get back! Don't let her get close!" one of the elders shouted, his voice shaking with fear.
The other sages tried to fight back. They worked together to launch a massive Sage Art: Bath of Boiling Oil, hoping to drown her. But Izanami just stood there. She stepped low and held her two katanas tight.
"Sun Breathing: Beneficent Radiance."
She spun like a top, and her blades created a whirlpool of dark fire. It sucked in all the boiling oil and blasted it right back at the sages. The toads screamed in pain as they were hit by their own attack, which was now even deadlier because it was covered in those dark flames.
Gamamaru watched in horror. His proud clan was being killed like bugs. His anger and hatred for Izanami made his eyes bloodshot.
"Enough!" Gamamaru roared. He used all the natural energy he had left. "I won't let you kill anyone else!"
He jumped forward and shot his tongue out like a spear to catch her. Izanami didn't even move out of the way. She caught his tongue with her bare hand. The dark flames on her skin started to burn him immediately, moving up his tongue and hurting him from the inside.
"Hmph, Gamamaru, why can't you still recognize the reality?" she said with a cold smile. "In this battle I am the strong one, and as the weaker party you have no choice but to bend to my whims."
She pulled the giant toad toward her with incredible strength. As he flew through the air, she focused all her power into one move.
"Sun Breathing: Setting Sun Crow."
A flash of dark light cut through the air.
Gamamaru felt a cold sting and then a pain so bad it felt like his soul was being ripped apart. His right arm was sliced wide open. Blood sprayed everywhere as he crashed into the dirt, making a huge hole in the ground. He could barely breathe.
The Great Toad Sage, who had helped the Sage of Six Paths himself, was now broken and bleeding. He looked up with blurry eyes and saw Izanami standing over him. Her swords were dripping with his blood while the dark flames still flickered on the steel. The other sages just stood there, too scared to move.
"Yes, that's right, feel the despair and regret for the actions of your foolish actions " Izanami laughed like a villain as she watched these toads faces turn white in fear. In her excitement her aura was released, making the pure land tremble.
And this scene would forever be remembered by the remaining sages, traumatizing them for life.
After laughing for a while, Izanami finally looked down at the sages who were trembling like scared children. Their fighting spirit was completely gone. Suddenly, she began to feel bored. Even though her own actions had caused this, Izanami couldn't help but feel she looked down on these frogs with total disdain.
Weren't these guys supposed to be sages who had lived for countless years? Weren't they meant to be the backbone of Mount Myōboku? They should have been fighting with everything they had, even if there was only a tiny bit of hope left.
But looking at them now, they didn't look like sages at all. In fact, calling these useless bastards sages was a disgrace to actual sages like her.
'I should just finish this,' Izanami sighed as the killing intent she had suppressed earlier was released once again. The temperature, which was already low, began to drop even more.
Armament Haki began to coat Izanami's weapons, and along with it came the red lightning that showed she was using Conqueror's Haki. Her eyes turned into two yin-yang symbols, and a terrifying pressure exploded from her body.
Now Izanami was getting serious. She was done playing around.
