"Look at that, Sin!"
Hina squealed like a child, as she does, without even a hint of exaggeration in her excitement. My mind was full of what would happen 7 days from now—the New Year's Eve, as Mr. Bahn tipped me off—but tonight was Christmas Eve. I sighed, lamenting the fact that we could still have been in London instead, away from all the headaches and worries if things weren't so dire back home.
Hina was pointing at the big Christmas Tree in the Parliament park, the biggest in the city and a popular spot for families and couples to visit and take pictures on Christmas Eve. There was already a Christmas tree that was no less impressive than this—and probably more expensively decorated—back at the Chan Mansion.
But Hina wanted to come out tonight, so we did.
"It's very nice, Miss."
Hina sensed something. I just knew she by the way she narrowed her eyes and took a step closer.
"What's wrong, Sin?"
"Nothing. I'm glad we are here."
