It did not take long for the members to find the island just like in canon. But the reunion was more fun than before since all of the members were awake this time.
While most of them were hugging each other and crying and laughing, Karna was sitting on a nearby mountain with Mavis.
"Are you not coming back to the guild?" he asked, as Mavis had decided to go on her own for some time.
Mavis's expression showed her resolve.
"I don't know how, but Ankhseram seemed to require strict conditions to appear in this world. And he can't stay for long. I need to find the reason why it happens and need to plan how to stop it," she said with a smile while she touched a nearby leaf.
But unlike the other times when her soul should have passed through the material world, this time the leaf itself moved.
Karna was surprised, as she had not mentioned it before.
"How?"
Mavis smiled.
"I thought my body was created by my consciousness combined with my illusion magic. But the attack from Ankhseram revealed that this body was, in fact, my soul combined with my illusion magic. And since my body is not completely made out of illusions, I was finally able to find a way to make it more physical," she said as she took a small fruit from a nearby tree.
"I can touch things and use my magic, but eating food is still a challenge, though," she said with a regretful expression as she tossed the fruit to Karna.
"I'm going to use my magic to communicate with Zeref and make our own plans against the death god. Don't worry, Karna, you won't have to shoulder this weight on your own," she said with a wide grin.
"Alright, I'll make sure to be ready on my side as well. Make sure to return if there are any problems, alright?" Karna said as he went on to be with the other members.
After a few seconds, a second illusion appeared near Mavis. It was the familiar black wizard.
"Are you ready?" he asked.
"Yes, it's time we prepared for the war," she replied, and suddenly both of them vanished from where they stood.
Karna, who was walking down the hill, had sensed the presence of Zeref's magic before it vanished.
"Huh, guess she'll not be alone on this trip," he muttered to himself as he met the others and boarded the ship to go home, where he was going to get his due for the things that he had pulled seven years ago.

"This is for the last seven years, you bastard, and there's more where that came from!" Gildarts shouted as he punched Karna as he came through the door.
Others just sighed, while a few men encouraged the fight, which was just a one-sided beating because Karna did not fight back.
"I thought we would at least wait a bit before this happened," Cornelia muttered while gently patting Cana's head, which was on her lap.
"How did the guild fare all these years, mom?" asked Cana, and Cornelia replied.
It seemed like the plans made by Karna all those years ago had worked very well; the council had known about the sacrifice he was making by fighting Acnalogia, so they tried their best to support Fairy Tail all these years.
Plus, Hades had appeared once silently and promised that he would protect Fairy Tail from the shadows as a form of atonement.
And Granny Porlyosika had taken the mantle of the guild master. Plus, she only went out for one guild meeting a year since she did not like human contact.
The other old guild members made sure to handle the rest of the work without any problems.
Plus, Karna had left a lot of patents, which the guild members used to pay for the rent of the disappeared members so that they wouldn't have any problems in their lives when they returned.
Within a year, the guild managed to get back on their feet, and the training methods Karna had left behind for the guild members helped them to increase their strength even more.
But then the Grand Magic Games appeared, but Fairy Tail did not think about participating in it since most of their members had disappeared. But after two championships, the winners of the tournament began rumours about how the current Fairy Tail was weak and they should forget about their earlier achievements. Many other guilds who were envious of Fairy Tail also started similar rumours.
The next year, Gildarts went for the Grand Magic Games.
He destroyed half the town, every other guild that participated, and the entire arena in which the preliminary rounds were being held.
He was banned for the next two years of competitions. But at the same time, no one had the guts to speak about Fairy Tail again.
"Though the champions a year ago did proclaim a challenge to Fairy Tail for the strongest guild title. Sabretooth was their name. But your dad went to their guild the next day and accidentally destroyed it when he tripped and fell by its door," Cornelia giggled as she mentioned what happened, while Cana sighed in exasperation.
She then looked at Karna, who was now talking with Gildarts and the others as they had calmed down after a small brawl. Her eyes then went towards the two Charizards, who had completely grown up in the seven years they were gone.
From what she heard from Cornelia, two Dragon Slayers had come from Sabretooth to arrogantly challenge them both, saying that they were going to prove themselves by slaying both of them.
A single roar had beaten them both and had put them in Porlyosika's patient rooms. And for making her take care of them, Porlyosika made sure that they suffered hell before they went back.
Cana looked closely at the two dragons. They both currently seemed to look exactly like the Charizard X and Y forms she had seen from Karna's collection of anime. But at the same time, she was sure that none of the anime Charizards would be able to hold a candle to their Fairy Tail Charizards.
The guild had grown too while they were away.
A/N - Alright guys, Fairy Tail is going to be more fast-paced soon, as it is going to end sooner than the canon timeline. So I'm thinking about writing another fanfiction when it's over. I got a lot of ideas, so I'm putting it to a vote.
