Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 - Going Over Information

Kotaro sighed as she looked at her stats; they were low, even for a child.

She had gained some insight about the scaling of stats when she had opened the panel, and to put it frankly, hers were very low. The average stat for an adult would be 10— that is a completely normal adult human who was not a ninja.

A completely normal child that was not a ninja would be 5 in each stat— on average.

Naturally, differences happened and were very common, with some having higher stats than average or even lower than average— but it was never unnaturally disproportional unless under special occasions.

Her stats were below average— even for a child her age. In fact, she only had two stats that were considered above average, and that was Agility and Mental.

The mental state being above average was expected— she had been reincarnated with her mental capabilities intact. To the system, she could be considered to have the average mental capabilities of an adult.

Her Agility was just slightly above average, and that was probably due to her bloodline.

The Aburame Clan was known as a Clan that was focused on Stealth, Scouting, and their Insects. They primarily focused on their Agility to move around and survive— that's why it was the stat her body was naturally better at.

Even so, this could be considered low for someone of her bloodline— even those that weren't Ninjas.

Her durability and strength were below average— and while this could once again be blamed on her bloodline, that wouldn't be entirely accurate.

She simply wasn't physically fit— and her body had never been trained before. Actually, her body seemingly lacked any talent for being trained— because even if she worked out vigorously for weeks, she had shown to change.

And she had— prior to being reincarnated here, memories of young Kotaro training and practicing in order to try and pass the Clan's test to join the Academy was in her mind— but this practice showed no success.

Kotaro could only sigh thinking about this— months of effort wasted with nothing to show for it, and her Clan even considered her a failure— even if they didn't say it outright.

The thing that was even worse than her physical aspects, however, was her Chakra— or, as her system called it—Energy.

A measly 2 in Energy was insulting— it was as if the system was saying she should just die.

Any fan of Naruto knows the importance of Chakra in the world— it was needed for almost everything, and it was an important part of not just the Ninja Occupation but the entire world.

Almost everyone in Naruto was born with Chakra; the only difference is how much and how well they can control it. The first part wasn't as important as the second part as Chakra normally increases with time— control needed to be practiced.

But even then— a 2 in Chakra at the age of 6, when most students should be entering the Academy to learn, is beyond lacking.

It was outright denial of her abilities to become a Ninja— that was not something she could or would accept.

'That needs to change soon.'

The thought instantly crossed her mind— and rather than feeling despair, she decided she would work towards changing it— it would be one of the first goals she would pursue.

Her focus then shifted to the sections below, Skills and Talents.

The section for Skills was empty, showing that she lacked any Jutsu, Fighting Style, and so on— but to her pleasant surprise, the Talent section was not empty.

'Insect Affinity. The Classic trait of an Aburame member.'

The Aburame Clan was known for their connection with insects, using them as a means for offensive, defensive, and even scouting purposes.

Any Aburame Clan member would have an Affinity for Insects— and it seems she was no different— she was, however, disappointed that it was limited to just that.

An additional talent of the Aburame Clan was not just their Affinity for insects but their ability to outright control them— even their ability to host them.

But maybe that could change in the future— she had time to grow before anything major happened, so there was no use overthinking it.

The Information Panel would serve as a roadmap for her improvement and a visual representation of her growth— she would use it wisely to further herself.

But for now, she was done looking it over, and she had two more sections to check out.

Closing the Information Panel, Kotaro turned her attention to the Questing Panel.

'Questing Panel.'

With a thought once more, the screen before her warped and changed to another similar panel; this one was much simpler in turns of layout and didn't possess a lot of details.

[Points: 0

Ongoing Quests: None

Possible Quests: 5]

She had no points— that was obvious— but what was interesting was the part that said Possible Quests.

There were 5 Options she could take— and while she hadn't learned what they were yet, they were nonetheless things she was interested in.

The way the system assigned Quests was complicated, but she had the basic idea of it from the information she gained. To put it simply— the system would scan her mind, the minds of others around her, her location, her intentions, her goals, and much more in order to figure out possible quests.

Then, the system would create a list of the things she would most likely do— or most likely wish to accomplish— and provide it to her. There was also the chance that the system prompted her a quest due to the situation she was in— but that was special.

As such— 5 quests were actually really good for her goal.

Willing the panel with her mind, a list of potential quests appeared before her.

There were some as simple as helping out around the Aburame Clan Compound, while there were more challenging ones, such as finding an insect within the forest nearby.

However, one Quest instantly caught her eye— and it was definitely prompted by her desire to improve her physical stats.

['Find A Way To Fix Your Body'

'The User's Body is unable to grow properly due to an unknown cause. Find a possible way to resolve this matter.'

Reward: 10 Points]

'There's something wrong with my body?'

The idea of it wasn't outside of her expectations, but she didn't want to believe it was the reason she had no growth after training for months.

A sigh escaped her lips as she accepted the quests without a second thought— she had now finally learned the reason for her inability to grow properly, and she planned to change it.

There was no reason not to accept the mission— plus, it wasn't like she could only accept one mission at a time.
