The trio was led away by the odd-looking creature, and Veda took the opportunity to start grilling Karl with questions about his ability to create skills.
"When did you gain that ability to make new skill books? How many can you do? Can you do skills that you read in other books, like an Inscriptionist?"
"I actually got the [Skill Book] skill early on, which can make copies of skills that I know," Karl began, and Veda nodded, already familiar with the skill's limitations.
"And then when I became a Runecrafter, I had more options on how to create skill books. But they're still primarily limited to skills that I already know, or variations of skills that I already know.
Even if I know all the runes in the language, writing up a skill book for a skill that I can't use isn't in my abilities.
It just won't work."
