Chapter 218: Special Quest Triggered, Ethan vs. the Juggernaut!

Excalibur appeared in Ethan's hand, though it remained in its demonic sword form.
"Brother, just give me a straight answer. Can you handle this monster?"
Bors asked cautiously.
After all, whether Ethan could win was directly tied to whether he would live or die.
"Guess."
"Brother, this really isn't the time to mess with me!"
Bors was practically about to cry.
Guess? Guess what?
'I'm about to piss myself from fear!'
"Relax. As long as I'm here, nothing will happen to you."
"Brother, I'm putting every last pound of my flesh in your hands."
Ethan waved him off.
'I really don't want those hundred-plus pounds of flesh.'
Behind him, Ryuu was being supported by Sarah, but as she stared at Ethan's back, she felt as if she had returned to five years ago.
Back then, her companions had rushed forward one after another to protect her.
And she alone had survived.
"Ethan…"
Looking at Ryuu in her arms, Sarah shook her head.
'Well, this girl definitely isn't getting away now.'
A hero saving a beauty in such a desperate situation?
Once they returned, her affection for her Master would probably shoot straight through the roof.

Without warning, the Juggernaut moved.
Its body transformed into a black blur as it charged straight toward Ethan.
Through the haze, a pair of scarlet eyes entered his vision.
"Roar!"
The black figure extended its razor-sharp claws and aimed directly for Ethan's heart.

Ethan did not dodge.
He took the attack head-on.
The Juggernaut's terrifying physical strength sent him flying backward.

The sound of something hitting the ground made both Ryuu and Bors's hearts tighten.
When the dust finally settled, a huge crater had appeared in the rock wall, surrounded by countless cracks.
Ethan stood within it.
Several bloody gashes crossed his chest, and blood continuously dripped from the wounds.
However, Ethan looked down at them and smiled instead.
"The Dungeon deliberately created you as its 'Juggernaut,' and this is all you've got?"
Ethan had originally been prepared to sacrifice his heart.
As the incarnation of [All the World's Evil], even having his heart destroyed would not kill him.
But unexpectedly, the Juggernaut's claws had only managed to tear through his flesh.
It seemed his current physical durability had already surpassed even his own expectations.

The Juggernaut stared at Ethan.
It might not possess much intelligence, but it was not stupid.
It clearly understood that the human before it was not an opponent it could easily eliminate.
Its gaze shifted toward Bors, Ryuu, and Sarah.
"Ah! It's looking over here!"
Bors nearly died of fright and instinctively hid behind Sarah.
However, the moment the Juggernaut focused on Sarah, it hesitated again.
It sensed tremendous power from her as well.
And within her body was an aura that even the Juggernaut instinctively feared, making it reluctant to attack.
Even after falling into the form of a beast, Gorgon was not an existence the Juggernaut could underestimate.
Especially over the past few months, Sarah had spent nearly all her time in the Dungeon's deep floors, devouring enormous quantities of magic stones day after day.
Sarah had become extremely powerful.
And as an [Avenger], her magical energy was nearly inexhaustible.
Even the Dungeon itself would not casually provoke a monster like her.

"Where are you looking? I'm your opponent."
Holding Excalibur, Ethan slowly walked toward the Juggernaut.

As he walked, he tore away the remains of his shirt with his left hand.
The Juggernaut's earlier attack had already shredded it, and having the torn fabric hanging from his body was uncomfortable.
Without his clothes covering him, Ethan's flawless physique was revealed before everyone.
His body looked almost like a perfect creation sculpted by the gods themselves.
And within only a few breaths, the wounds across his chest had completely healed.
It was as if he had never been injured at all.
"Roar!"

The Juggernaut moved instantly.
Like a pitch-black blade, it shot toward Ethan's neck and head.
Its objective was perfectly clear.
Kill Ethan.
How it accomplished that did not matter.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Facing the Juggernaut's relentless attacks, Ethan swung Excalibur.
The demonic blade, intertwined with black and scarlet, continuously blocked the Juggernaut's claws.
Gradually, Ethan even began suppressing it.
[Eternal Arms Mastery] granted Ethan unmatched combat instinct.
[Pressure of the Moon Goddess] had raised his physical abilities to a terrifying level.
[Mana Burst] further strengthened his body.
Combined with [Black Mud], [Perfect Form], and his numerous other abilities, Ethan had practically become a perfectly balanced warrior with every attribute pushed to its limit.
Bang!
Suddenly, a surprise attack came from the side.
The assault forced the Juggernaut to interrupt its attack.
Its deep-red eyes perfectly tracked Ethan's figure even as he moved at extreme speed.
Slash!
Even so, a piece of the Juggernaut's body was still sliced away by Excalibur.
Ethan suddenly remembered something.
This creature might be terrifying.
Its strength and speed were both abnormal, and its ability to reflect magic made it a natural enemy of mages.
But it was not invincible.
The Juggernaut's own defensive ability was actually quite low.
However, defeating it required killing it completely.
Otherwise, it would never stop.
After all, it was the "cleaner" specifically created by the Dungeon to eliminate threats.
