Taking Wesley Palmer's phone, he heard a clear female voice say, "Mr. Palmer, I really have something urgent right now, can I come a bit later?"
"You can come later, but you'll have to punish yourself with three drinks!"
The voice on the other end suddenly turned into Turstin Muller's. Savanna Moger was startled, then pondered for a moment. "Okay, I'll definitely punish myself with three drinks. Thank you, Mr. Muller!"
Hanging up, Savanna let out a long breath. She'd finally gotten through that!
She scalded the back of her hand while making coffee; it still stung a little. Savanna lifted her hand to her lips and blew on it instinctively.
Hopefully it wouldn't affect her playing later.
"Can you handle alcohol?" From what Savanna said, Shane Hill had already guessed the gist of it and asked with concern.
"Yeah." Even if she couldn't drink, she'd have to learn. Work wasn't like school; social drinking was unavoidable.
